What a nightmare!
Mr Davies called at 9pm the evening before we were due to arrive. He said there was storm damage to the apartment ??? so it wasn't available.
Mr Davies manages many properties in and around Aberystwyth including the hilariously named four seasons hotel.
We were offered a hotel suite consisting of a double bed, single bed and sofa. A very poor substitute for a 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchen.
Everything else was booked up for the weekend so we had no other choice.

The location is exceptional.
There were no basic washing up materials available.

The apartment was lovely, clean and modern and right on the sea front. All the mod cons in the kitchen.
The weather was awful but was great to watch the sea from the living room
The only niggle was the shower, hardly any pressure and difficult to find a good temp between cold and super hot.

Excellent location. Right next to promenade. Spotlessly clean and furnished with good quality items which were modern and stylish. Ask hot tub was a big plus

Hot tub was a lovely addition but it is communal and this is not stated at booking .
Bed are comfy ! Quick and easy check in .
False advertising from the get go .
Rooms look nothing like listed on booking.com
Don’t book this room as you’re not getting what you pay for .
Parking is a short walk away and very stressful . Staff are helpful as much as they can but they respond to your queries like you should know the area !
Rooms smell clean but need a bit more attention to detail .
Bedroom drawers had no handles and stains on bed base .
Basically you will not be staying in a room that’s advertised on the pictures . I don’t even think this room exists.
Huge disappointment and not worth the money I paid for the stay ! £226 a night for a downgrade version of the advertisement.
Will never book again ! AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Excellent accommodation in a superb location. Comfortable rooms and furnishings, plenty of space, very clean and modern fittings. We spent a lot of time enjoying watching the ocean! Quiet flat despite being on the seafront. Check-out time of 11am was perfect.
We were allocated flat number 3 instead of 2 but I have no idea why!
I would have given this a "10" but unfortunately I didn't receive any instructions re key collection or any reply to my messages asking about the location of the "free private parking", which caused me some anxiety. I rang the phone number just before leaving home and was told to collect the keys from the Four Seasons hotel around the corner. When I went round, the receptionist was dealing with a number of people and seemed stressed, and did not provide any sort of greeting or welcome.
The parking was in a small courtyard at the rear of the hotel with room for 3 cars only. We were able to park there one night but the following days were not, and were at the mercy of street parking.
On dropping off the keys, a different receptionist was very pleasant and polite.

Ty Belgrave Apartment 2 is located on the first floor of an imposing property overlooking the sea front. It affords wonderful views of the beach and of stunning sunsets in the evening. The town centre is within a minute or two’s walking distance and offers all the facilities one could need.
We didn’t find any instruction booklets for using the oven, microwave etc and no provision of washing tablets for the dishwasher.
The handle of the apartment door is rather loose. It had obviously been attended to before but could do with reinforcining.

Absolutely beautiful apartment with a stunning sea view. They were extremely accommodating when we arrived for early check-in to attend our son's graduation. Thank you, would definitely recommend 👌

We were not given proper instructions to get to the property only address and post code..The place was locked and empty..we eventually phoned and found out we had to go and collect keys! At another venue..when we found that we were told that the property we were given was not the one we booked up and was a few streets away..,The property was ok but the hot water didn’t work in the en-suite and in the main bathroom the shower head kept coming off. If you had a bath you had to use a k ice to release the plug,,,place was nice and warm ..no washing up liquid provided and other kitchen stuff was basic..
The worst thing was that I had booked and paid for an apartment with a sea view as it was a special present for my daughters 30th birthday…
See my comments above re hot water and showers and bath..,and kitchen…
Worst bit was been given another apartment to the one we booked which was in a side road and hard to find,,no instructions… seee above..though it was a nice apartment it wasn’t what we were looking forward to I had booked a sea view not an apartment in a back street..We were not told till we finally found out we had to collect a key when we phoned as the apartment we were given address for was not accessible and had a key code not a key…not good enough service and should get some refund..

The apartment was huge, a lot bigger than we thought it would be. Hosts were pleasant and welcoming, cleanliness was great and location was beautiful.
The downstairs bathroom shower screen seems to leak when taking a shower so had to mop up the water off the floor which was quite bad as it made the floor super slippery. But other than that I can’t fault the place.

A lovely large apartment in a great central location with stunning seaside views.
There was a very strong smell of cigarettes coming from the apartment below, especially in the hall and corridor

Property was nice, spacious and comfy beds but not the one that I booked, no parking, no hot tub and no price reduction for the inconvenience.
No information on key collection - it was only from previous reviews that I knew I would have to ring up and then collect keys from a hotel some distance away. No reply to my email requesting information on how to collect keys.
On collecting keys I was told I had been moved to a different property but the receptionist couldn't tell me why. I had booked a second floor apartment with sea view, but was given a ground floor property on a back street, no sea view. No price reduction. There was a small car park at the back but this wasn't clear in the dark, I rang the hotel reception again and was told to park on the street, although I explained there was no space. I had to park near a garage door and hope I didn't get clamped or ticketed.
Property was nice but hearing noisy pub goers passing the ground floor windows wasn't what I was looking forward to when I booked. Ensuite tap was broken, missing the lever.
No information in the flat itself about wifi or the promised hot tub (wifi information was in the communal hallway but easy to miss).
I asked about the hot tub when I checked out and was told it was in a fenced area in the car park so I drove back to have a look. It was behind a padlocked gate and filled the tiny area it was in. I took photos over the fence. Even if you could get in (having walked from the property and across the car park) there didn't appear to be anywhere to hang towels etc. and not sure where you would even put the cover? There was rubbish around. I had asked about availability of the hot tub before I arrived as I was looking forward to using it after a 4 hour drive but didn't get a reply. Maybe it was out of use? Disappointed as I could have paid less for a hotel room.
I eventually spoke to the owner who offered me a discount on future bookings! But I won't book again because there's no guarantee what property I will get!

It was in the town centre, and close to my son who is at uni in Aber
We were moved from the accommodation we had booked on the day we were due to arrive. The booked accommodation was sea front, the new accommodation had a view of a wall and a car park. We weren’t told about arrangements for key collection. The heating didn’t work, the toilet didn’t flush properly and the bath plug was stuck. We were charged the full price for the seafront accommodation. The boiler had a service overdue notification on it- we won’t be booking again.

The location was great. The apartment was really nice.
It was quite hot when we visited, and no fans and windows that opened very little. Also, while there were holders on the shower walls for shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel…these were not filled. These are minor details which didn’t affect our stay in a big way but you did ask. Also, the communication from the property regarding key collection could have been better.

Exceptionally clean, very good location, easy key collection, modern decor, everything in immaculate condition, comfortable bed, spotless fluffy towels. Nice to have tea and a few milk sachets on arrival to get us started.
No hand soap in bathroom and all the dispensers were empty in the shower. Apartment was on 3rd floor - would have liked to know this in advance and the staircase is narrow and twisty. Parking was on road but no problem finding a space.

View from the front of the apartment was superb, we were able to park (free) very close, it was beautifully furnished and sparkling clean.
The rear bedroom view was a bit unsightly- back stairs, (can’t be helped) rubbish blowing about - not hosts fault though. There were not instructions about how /when to access the tub or when it was available - so we didn’t.

Lovely new apartment that was very clean and in a great location
The communication from the start was bad. We were not told we had to collect the keys from the Four Seasons. We were put in apt 3 not 2 as booked. There was no welcome pack, instructions or details of what to do when checking out or how to work anything. The dishwasher wasn’t working and the kitchen was very basically equipped and there were the bare minimum of towels, soaps etc.
It was expensive and did not live up to expectations for the £.
Issues were dealt with but thoughtlessly - dirty plates etc removed but not replaced until we asked, the kitchen sink had no plug again requiring a phone call.

loved the apartment
the only thing i'd suggest is maybe a key safe code for the key so we wouldn't need to pick up or drop off at the other hotel otherwise lovely !

Cannot fault it

Rooms nicely decorated with decent kitchen
Good location and nice sea views
Worst shower I’ve had in years
Free private parking was not included as advertised
The hot tub was a communal hot tub that you had to enter from a separate building. It was in under a plastic roof overlooking some breeze blocks
There was no communication about check in process and staff were not particularly helpful

The view of the sea and the hot tub, being able to come straight out of the sea and into the hot tub.

The place was clean and on the beachfront.
There were only bath towels, no small towels in the bathrooms. There was no shower mat in the second bathroom. The 'Spa' was a joke. It did not match the description. Most importantly, I booked Apartment 2 and was given Apartment 3. There were too many stairs for my 86 old mother to manage which made the whole weekend very difficult.
9.0 / 10.0
The apartment was superb. The view from one of the bedrooms was wonderful; the view from the other was of a demolished building site. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have both bedrooms en-suite. We were there for only one night and wished we could have stayed longer.
We did not get sufficient information after booking. For example we didn't get a full address of either the property or where to collect the keys, which were in another hotel a five minute walk away. A balcony was advertised, but was inaccessible and too narrow to use. There was no jacuzzi in the room as advertised; in fact it was outside and around the corner in another property and was clearly unavailable. Additionally the 'free parking' turned out to be purely the on-street parking in the town, which had time restrictions.
The main problem was one of communication. Clearly the property had just been renovated to a high standard, but relics of its previous existence are still freely available on line and are therefore extremely confusing for prospective guests. Although some sites said the room included a Welsh breakfast, this turned out not to be the case. Ty Belgravia would benefit from having an obviously up-to-date website in order to actively supplant the older information: even saying 'newly renovated in 2023' would be hugely helpful. Further, how a guest collects the keys should be clearly indicated with a map. Being told on arrival over the phone to collect the keys from the back of a different hotel accessible only through a car park doesn't instil confidence in a tired traveller! If you are part of the Four Seasons Hotel chain make it clear from the outset.

location right on the sea front
staircase up to the flat is very narrow spiral type - can be awkward with cases to carry

The apartment is clean , nicely styled and the beds comfortable. The appliances and heating all worked well apart from one shower which didn’t get hot.
I emailed and texted as instructed to access the keys but got no reply. Eventually I called and got through to a frustrated receptionist who told me I had to go to a hotel around the corner from the apartment to get the keys. It would have been useful to know this in advance and to have some directions to the hotel and some information on where to park at the apartment. The hotel backs on to a launderette where children play nosily at all times including. The front bedroom faces the prom where sounds of people talking and shouting when walking past disturb sleep in the early hours. Sounds from the people in the flat above also prevented this being a peaceful break.

WE got upgraded to Aprrment 1 AND WE LOVED IT! Very pleasantly surprised and it exceeded our expectations! We loved our stay! Will definately book again when we come back!
Nothing much except that we would love to be able to open the curtains and gaze at the sea without people staring back at us.
