Beautiful view, excellent kitchen, wonderful and helpful host. I loved the jicara bath. Very comfy king size mattress. There were some problems with the water at the property but Johno went above and beyond to bring water each day.
The price does not match the experience. I think for the price, I was expecting a little more luxury (for the price paid), and working facilities (temporary water issue). It feels simple and rustic, which is perfect, when its a little cheaper :)

I found Nuuna to be a very special place, brought to life by Johna’s warm presence and fresh vision for his family’s business.
The cabanas are spacious, artful, and modern, blending harmoniously with their environment. I appreciated the organic materials used in the whole place, the many curves, open spaces, and lack of hard walls separating inside from outside. The top cabana has a tree house feel, airy and bright during the day and cozy at night with the wooden doors closed and soft lighting.
Having a (spotless) well stocked and functional kitchen was a real bonus for me as it’s not been easy finding places around Mazunte /Zipolite where I can cook for myself. Plenty of pots, dishes, a blender, spices, room in fridge, and drinking water are all available.
The location is excellent from my perspective, being just a few minutes walk from the calm and beautiful Mermejita beach where the best sunsets are, and ten minutes from Punta Cometa where I watched three incredible sunrises. Town is close but far enough not to hear the noise or have any traffic. There is a hill to climb- but it’s how you get to be in such a peaceful environment!
I would recommend coming here if you are fond of being immersed in nature and you can go with the flow of life happening around you and be a part of that flow. As others have said, the sounds don’t have a barrier, so you will hear what is going on all around. Most of the time that is birds singing and the ocean’s hum, perhaps bring ear plugs for other instances as well as mosquito repellent for the hours around sunset when the little vampires come out for dinner.
I will remember my time there as it was unique in the warm simplicity created by the combination of feeling so welcome and immersed in the unique ambiance of the place itself.

Very nice room with a great design
Communal kitchen was very poor quality. Very basic and poor quality facilities for cooking. I electrocuted myself on the toasting machine which was falling apart and a real hazard to use. Very basic cooking hob that really wasn’t inviting to use. The kitchen seemed like a cheap after thought which really wasn’t very well equipped or inviting at all.

I loved how peaceful it was, so quiet you can hear the waves breaking on Mermejita Beach.
the only way to get there is by car cause the street has no pavement and impossible to carry your luggage even if you have a small carry-on, is really steep and there are no lights at night. Also, I learned Mazunte is pretty safe but to me is funny you can lock your room door but also, there are no real walls, only curtains, so...

interesting adventure, different than usual, simple but clean and comfortable
the first night the noises (nature around) were very loud. You then get used to it and it’s actually pleasant

room was totally gorgeous!!!
check in was quite difficult, response time was slow. other guests who showed up were not able to check in as nobody was around or picking up the phone.

It was nice and quiet, the bed was comfy but I didn't feel that it was as beautiful as the pictures.
The location was over a small hill (tiring to walk in the sun), and the shower was just a sink. It's refreshing but you waste a lot of water and a shower makes more sense. The communal area was not very inviting, the wooden chairs are not comfy. There was only one outlet in the bedroom so the fan only reaches one side. The room was very dark. For the price I expected a bit more luxury!

It was a great new experience. Beautiful bungalows with an ocean view, with an authentic bathing, terrace, and a comfy bed.
The property had a shared kitchen with a fridge where you can put your drinks.
Our bathroom was facing other people's terraces. So when you use a toilet or bath, other guests basically can see you, and definitely hear you. The idea of an authentic experience is beautiful, but I was not feeling comfortable using a toilet.
The staff greeted us on arrival, but I did not see anyone anymore since.

The welcome was very friendly!
The beds were big and comfortable
The outside Coconut shower was very refreshing and balcony was nice to sit on with the cool breeze from the ocean.
Short walk down to the most amazing sunset
Shop next door for drinks and snacks
Close enough to the town centre to walk and far enough away for tranquility

This is one of the best places I’ve stayed! A cosy and cute cabbage near the beach 🏝️
The cabbages are too close to each other you can hear everything

Could not stay for the whole length of the planned stay as here was no water, no electricity, no wifi on the premises and more importantly no one to speak to. And still waiting to be reimbursed the 2 nights not spent there

The layout of the room is amazing, feels very organic. And Is very close to the beach!
the sliding doors could be a bit polished, I think the wood got thicker because of the humidity and 2 of them were hard to open even in 2 people.

Very lovely cabanas. They showers we're amazing, best we had during our Mexico Trip. Leonardo was an amazing Host , He was very helpful while i Had Food poisoning! The room gets cleaned every day by a lovely Lady who also can do your laundry

Bed was really comfy, manager and staff were professional and helpful.
Kitchen closes too early, and there is no other way to get drinking water. Hand showers are OK, but you end up using the same or more water than you would with a regular shower. If conservation is the goal, it would be best to explain the water situation at checkin and have signs so people are mindful of usage. Bowl showers were really a pitance for such an expensive place.

At first we had only planned 3 days there. But since it was so beautiful, we extended it. We had a beautiful view of the sea. The outdoor bathroom with bucket shower was a highlight every day. The owner is very nice and gave us good tips. There is also a well-equipped communal kitchen with a fridge that everyone can use. At night you can only hear the sound of the animals and the sea. The beach with the most beautiful sunset and the town are only a few minutes walk away. There is a small supermarket right next door. I can absolutely recommend this accommodation.

We absolutely loved the balcony and the location (very close to the beach and village). The owner is easily and fast over WhatsApp and super organized! Beds are very comfy and equipped with mosquito nets.
we had to get used of the shower, which is no shower. However it’s part of the experience and does no harm :)
