I liked the affordability, the available kitchen, the hammocks and the views.
I didn't much like the town and what I regarded as unfriendly locals.

Great location, good views over the port, large well-equipped kitchen, well-decorated and pleasant ambience, Puerto Angel is not super-touristy like Zipolite and Mazunte and has a much more local feel.
The internet does not work in some of the rooms.

Very cute place - can't beat the price.
We should have stayed more than just a night. ;-)

An amazing oasis with hammocks and palm trees around, very beautifully made with attention to detail, clean and tidy, big clean kitchen, wonderful personnel
Maybe only that they didn’t have AC and it was very hot in the room or you had to use a very noisy fan, but it is standard in Oaxaca, and they did have mosquito nets. It wasn’t a problem for us, but you have to take many steps to go up. We thought it was nice because it takes you higher up for a better view and farther away from the traffic. But just in case someone has a problem with it - good to know

The view is gorgeous. It's very quiet being tucked up the hill a little, and away from any roads.
I stayed nearly 6 weeks to complete writing and illustrating a book. Lots of comfortable areas to work or just sit and relax.
Met good people, fellow guests of different nationalities and from México.
Very close to the beaches so - swimming every day, I bought a snorkel and Mask to really enjoy the tropical fish at the beaches. It's a working fishing town, with some strong smells testifying to that - part of life, Food readily available for any pocket, though a bit more costly than Oaxaca City You can make your own too.
Fans in the rooms and mosquito nets, though not many bugs in February. The geckos probably help.
The staff are good people, ready to help if necessary, down to earth and awesome.
It's close to all the other more touristic places along the coast.
There's a top entrance/exit onto a sloping road down to the other side of the town, with a good fish shop, and a butchery and grocery shop...the OXXO, Telcel and Azteca bank, and the municipality buildings.
I really loved my stay - thank you.
It's VERY HOT in Puerto Angél and everywhere on that coast. Fans help a lot, but think of it like being in a sauna. Good for you, though sometimes hard to bear. Climbing the steps from the main street up, to get to the hotel was a challenge - in that heat. But makes you stronger.

Lovely owner. Good proximity to fishing port beach.
Not their fault, I would just advise that there is no a/c so visiting in May was unbearably hot. Too hot to do anything. Would be great in the cooler months.

We had a wonderful apartment, very large, 100% clean, great kitchen stuff, with a perfect view even from the bathroom when taking a shower. We loved the location within Puerto Angel and so close by the sea. Atmosphere was great, the owners and staff are so friendly and helpful.

Description of place should talk about the multitude of stairs without railings and mention taxis should go to the back entry. The bread was great.

Great seaside views from the top floor restaurant. Good breakfast.
The WIFI didn’t have coverage in all the areas and also the town’s remote location causes the general internet connectivity to be extremely unreliable.

we loved the chill areas, to cuddle with the dogs and the view from our breakfast spot! we absolutely can recommend the place to chill and relax. the village is more local and less tourism. so if you like it more chilled and local it‘s the perfect place to stay! if you are older you should not(!) book this accommodation. there Are a lot of stairs!
unfortunately the kitchen could not be used to cook in the evening. there Are less Restaurants for the evening in Puerto angel so it would be nice to change that in the future maybe:)

My friend said the fans were loud and beds springy. I thought it was fine.

- polite staff and very nice breakfast. Really recommend
- generally we enjoyed our stay, but we would expect something more for this money
- beds wasn't too comfortable
- poor communication, we haven't been told about the additional payment for 1 person until the last minute of our stay. We were not prepared with cash for that 😔 We would expect better communication.

Very well located in a calm, local area, close to the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very tasty and with a good view!
The place is run down. The beds where not comfy and the air in the rooms is not good, they need better windows.

Karina the manager is wonderful hospitable, helpful & friendly. Breakfast is lovely on the terrace. Other travellers friendly. Location is great to get down to the very charming Pantheon beach & The guest house is pretty reasonable for being right in the centre of Puerto Angel. En balance Charming guest house built up over 35 years & you can forgive foibles for the service is great.
As the hospitality is very good you forgive the foibles of maintenance required in en-suite bathroom, as for a short stay it's manageable.

The space outside was great, the breakfast too. The owners were very nice and did their best.
Small room for a family room. And way ro expensive for $120 per night. Three beds, but not really space for clothes. A lot of things didn’t work. It was a hassle to get enough towels. We left earlier.
