We loved our stay at the Foodie! Karen was a wonderful hostess! She greeted us with a nice cup of tea and a big smile! The rooms were beautiful, clean and very nicely decorated! Karen cooked us a wonderful dinner accommodating our preferences (one vegetarian and one vegan). The food was delicious and plentiful! Karen’s passion for food, cooking, foraging and Scotland was evident in every aspect of our stay. Her insights were enriching and has convinced us to come back to Scotland to see what we missed this time!

Clean
The booking never showed that there would be a host staying with us, we paid for the entire property and now there’s a host who’s dictating what we do and do not. The host was extremely rude and the wifi wasn’t even working, after desperate attempts of fixing the wifi the host refused to fix it. WiFi was extremely essential as there’s absolutely no network in that area. She wasn’t cooperative at all. PLEASE BEWARE u think u have the entire house to yourself for the price but u do not.

The host was very accommodating pleasant and friendly. The apartment was adequate for our stay .
The property was advertised as being suitable for 4 adults. In our case, we had four adults. However, we had 2 adult children of different sex which meant one had to sleep on a bed settee. Th bed settee functioned well as a settee but was not suitable for an adult to use for sleeping at all. I did not think to take photos but I should have of the bed settee for an adult.

Karen, the house, the food and the location were all just exceptional! What a great stay- really couldn’t have been any better! Karen made us an absolutely divine traditional Scottish breakfast that was “to die for delicious-farm to table quality, and the portions were just perfect. The shower was so delightful and plenty of hot water and the bathroom was clean , as well as the spotless rest of the house. Beautiful bookcases filled with books about the area and Scottish magazines and most of all the beds were comfy! Karen was a wonderful host we enjoyed her company at breakfast- super fun to talk to! We would definitely come back and stay with Karen here again! A+++. Directions were easy and perfect.
Not one thing. The best!

Just a few minutes from the city centre, this lovely flat is in a quiet and cozy residential neighbourhood. Perfect for a break if you are constantly backpacking and moving across the highlands. Karen welcomes you with all suggestions about the area and what is worth visiting. I hardly recommend to have at least one meal cooked by her as she is part of the slow food movement. You will be so pleased with what she puts together for a nice meal. Another plus for the Italians. Karen lives in Italy so if you struggle with the language she can help you out and makes you feel like home.

Clean & new appartment.
Delicious & variety breakfast.
Karen was quite helpful and welcoming. She helped us to plan the Inverness stay. She was always available for any needs of ours promptly. She guided us to select the travel routes which are quite refreshing and exhilarating for the soul.
Comfortable mattress.
Easy access to the electrical charging pods in the neighborhood tesco.
Location is quite inviting coz of neighborhood tescos, asda and gaming centre.
No television.
Lacks a bit of privacy.
Bed rooms could do better with a chair and dressing table.
A few more toiletries could help better.
A bit disappointed in the absence of Cranachan for breakfast, which I was looking forward to.

Clean, nice looking bedrooms and sitting room. Owner was nice, offered tea.
People going to stay here should understand there is an element of false advertising. It is just a house in a neighborhood. It is not marked as a guesthouse or B&B on the house or on the street. The owner lets out the two bedrooms and sitting room, and then there is a door into her area. There is no private terrace to each room as advertised. We were uncomfortable when she would come into the rented area while we were gone. The owner advertises a restaurant as part of the guesthouse but there is none, she will cook for you if you want and she calls it a restaurant and then charge you restaurant prices. There no TV, and no matter what she says there is no private parking. If you ask she will pull her car up nearer her house so you can park - but just realize that you will have to move for her to leave in the morning.

It was very comfortable and relaxing. Two private bedrooms, bathroom and sitting room. Plenty of room for luggage. Karen is a wonderful hostess. The food she prepared was delicous and she offered the opportunity to try new things. Her knowledge of Scotland and tips of places to see was very helpful.
Parking was a challenge. It was a good thing we had a small car.

We had a fantastic stay with Karen this weekend. She went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! Breakfast was great, wish we had booked dinner also as Karen is a brilliant chef. She also gave us a lift to the centre when a taxi let us down. The accommodation is spacious and very clean. A gem in the Highlands and we will definitely return!

Great location for our overnight stay on the way to Ullapool. Lovely host.
A tv would have been good to watch in the evening.

Not what you normally expected from a B&B, more of a house with a WOW factor and breakfast and/or dinner as extras when requested. Very suitable for a family.
Karen who was warm & welcoming, made our stay very personalised.
