Spacious house, amazing views

Spacious, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, handy for the town, and amazing views.

Missing basic cleaning materials - kitchen cloths, washing up liquid etc. Not what you expect in a property in this price bracket. Bulbs needing replaced, toaster & hoover not working, couldn't figure out the heating - nobody local on hand to resolve these minor issues.

Lovely big house with fabulous views

Beautiful views, big house with lots of character. Great big kitchen which was well equipped. Very clean.

Although the kitchen was well equipped nothing else was in the house e.g hand wash in the bathrooms, washing up liquid/cloths etc which I think should be included. Couldn’t really get to grips with the heating and the radiators stopped working but the underfloor heating in the kitchen was lovely. There was no replies through booking.com and in the run up was hard to get any replies to questions until I managed to get hold of the owner.

the hill is a bit of a killer for people who struggle with mobility and the dishwasher was there but not plumbed in and sat in the middle of the kitchen

The spacious rooms and views

The dishwasher wasn’t plumbed in just left in it’s packaging blocking access in the kitchen. We arrived on 1st March so the weather was cold but the wood burner advertised on the itinerary had no supply of wood which was disappointing because the kitchen was so big it always felt cold. Pillows were substandard ( wish we had brought our own). The house was up a steep hill that was unlit in the hours of darkness.

Ideal for a family stay on Bute

This property has fantastic views with spacious and sparklingly clean accommodation. Comfy beds and cosy with underfloor heating. Very well equipped. Good showers in both bathrooms. Woodland walks behind the house perfect for the dog and nipping into town. Good wifi appreciated by all. Sad to leave a day early due to bad weather/suspended ferry services. We will book again.

Had to chase for the key entry code. Had a few problems with door knobs coming off (shower room) or missing (bedroom 2) which we reported to the local property agent. A couple of items of the Ikea furniture are falling apart. Note this is a semi-detached property and not detached as per Sykes description. It is however very private and well screened from the next door residents.
