Wonderful experience at Manuel's gorgeous villa, nestled in a little town on Lago Maggiore. Walkable to restaurants and lake. We arrived JUST as the pope was being announced - was so cool to catch this with Manuel in his lovely living room space. We enjoyed the continental breakfast and getting to chat with the other guest staying that night. The gardens and grounds were so pretty, even though it was raining while we were there. Loved the original turn of the century design features in each room.

Breakfast was always a plentiful choice., provided within a generous time frame 7.30am to 10.00am. Manuel was never far away for help or advice. I enjoyed practicing my Italian with regular conversations.
Transport was a bit limited. Trains ran from Calde, around 9.00am, then we had to rely on bus travel. The rail replacement buses didn't always appear, to bridge the gap until the trains resumed later on in the afternoon.

The property is very beautiful clean and amazing views. Located very close to the center of Castelveccana. The owner was very friendly and gave us very good tips.
