The room was amazing: really 5 ⭐️ authentic (!!) quality with a soul: Italian floors, classy wooden furniture, marble bathroom, comfy beds and cushions,… Breakfast was LOVE ❤️ The owner, Luigi and his lovable staff make sure every detail is better than you can ever dream of! If possible, I would rate it 11! A volonté doppio espresso, latte with oat milk, eggs made to perfection, Italian cheeses & ham, healthy yoghurt and powerfood grains, a wonderful selection of home made cakes, Prosecco,… Congratulations to everyone. This is what true hospitality is 🥂 Luigi, grazie mille - you ARE an angel!

Beautiful hotel with an amazing view of the lake! Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The swimming pool is a great addition for a nice relaxing morning and evening chill. Staff is very friendly and helpful! We stayed with our doggo and he was also very happy! He even got a surprise present for his last day :)

The gentlemen at the reception is a disgrace. You may be a 3 star hotel, but the staff at reception is not up to the standard. Very rude and started to yell at me when asking questions about the bill (booking.com made a mistake : the breakfasts were in fact not included), and be sure to arrive before 8pm for the check-in. Or you will have the surprise of a 50 euros fee which is not disclosed anywhere on the booking, and the staff will be rude to you during your stay as a retaliation. To me, the extra cost is a fraud and the overall experience is basically ruined. You end up paying 60+50 euros on top so +30% on the bill…the guy at reception finds it normal. Good for you! Frankly they are better valued options around with the same views on the lake and no hidden fees. And the receptionist won’t shout no insult you :-)

Romantic and picturesque with a spectacular view over Lago Maggiore

Absolutely amazing location and probably one of the most beautiful places you’ll ever stay at. The view over the lake is breathtaking. Staff are super nice and helpful. Food is great. Pool located in the very well kept garden. Rooms are spacious, clean and quite. Beds are firm to say the least (which seems to be the norm in Italy)

Not a critique but you should be aware that accessibility may be a challenge as there are quite a number of stairs to climb and no elevators.

We are pleased to say, that was a wonderful experience in the Hotel! The place was beautiful and gardens were fantastic!! The staff was friendly and the waitress Laura is one of the best we ever had!! The quality of the food was excellent and we bought olive oil and wine back home. We will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone that wants to visit Lago Maggiore!!

Best stay on Lake Maggiorre

Amazing hotel! The photos does not do the justice - everything looks and feels 100 times better in real life! Hotel is about 200 years old so you can feel the history by living there, gardens are maintained and looked after. Pool is beyond perfect with a view to mountains and lake. Hotel is in very quite place so if you seeking to relax - perfect choice. Staff is amazing and trying to do everything and beyond for the guests. Food is amazing too. Chef is using local products, we had great dinner and breakfast. Breakfast is only 15€ per person and you get chosen hot food as well as variety of cheeses, meats, vegetables, pastries and etc. Our room had a lake view, the original tiles on the floors and in the bathroom. Everything decorated in vitange luxury Italian style. Even sheets are Italian made, comfortable bed. I will definately come back and recommend to everyone. This was one of our highlights of trip around Lake Maggiorre! Thank you, Team and Oweners !! You doing amazing job!

Aamzing, beautiful and welcoming place with stunning view and beautiful building

The staff is extremely nice and attentive, the building is beautiful and the views are great. The garden is very well maintained, and therefore adding a lot to the beautiful experience. They were very helpful with the baby, the restaurant on the site was super flexible in facilitating us while the baby was asleep in the room (and woke up at halfway past the dinner). Btw everyone there seems to love babies.

The pool is a bit cold, but that's hardly an issue

it's a stunning property with views out over Lago Maggiore. the hotel itself is boutique and original to the area with loads of beautiful detail and quality. staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. the restaurant is also excellent. we opted for breakfast as well and it exceeded our expectations. fresh fruit, local cheeses and, breads and jams, to name just a few items. We loved it.

A beautiful secluded hideaway close to Lake Maggiore; very efficient and friendly staff; wonderful dining terrace with views of the lake and exceptional food.

It’s a steep site and a bit of a slog up and down from the car park with luggage; road access is generally quite challenging - and Oggebbio has very little by way of alternative dining/drinking options.

I will return and I do recommend this hotel.

On the positive side, the service was impeccable, staff friendly, the view really nice. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. Snacks, dinner and breakfast were tasteful and of good quality.

The room was a bit small, but the view from the bedroom made up for it. Unfortunately, with privacy (hotel is really high up a hill) comes some downsides (the walks around the hotel were a bit difficult, and in any case, there was not much close by). However, I do not think one needs much else but, what is offered by the hotel (if your intention is to relax, eat well and carpe diem).

Beautiful hotel with great view from the front of the hotel and all public spaces. Great lawn and swimming pool, Superb location. very nice and friendly staff.

The view from the front hotel rooms was great; unfortunately we booked the last room and our, and some of the rooms actually look at a wall of the building next to it with no view whatsoever in 1 meter wide streets. If that would have been in the description when booking i wouldn't have booked it. I asked whether there was any room with a view left, for which i'd gladly pay double, but they hadn't (which of course wasn't their fault); a heads up on the 'absolutely no view' while booking would have been nice and fair. Breakfast was not bad but also not great value. Rooms didn't have a coffee machine and were noisy vs folk in the next room (you could hear someone on the toilet next door)
