Location on the shore of lake Maggiore. Nice big room with view over the lake. Very nice breakfast across the street in nearby cafe overlooking the lake. Friendly staff.

The location was good and the staff was helpful. Outside the view was awesome.

To be honest, the cleanliness is not too good to my standards but maybe they tried already. When I entered the room, there were random yellow stuff at the toilet sittting area I have to clean myself(it is able to clean). And also, there were dirty things at the pillow case, so I have to only use one pillow.

Very good hotel situated just in front of Porto Valtravaglia, Lago Maggiore with scenic views.

1. We went there a little late and when informed the hotel, we were well instructed to do the check-in at the restaurant nearby. It was not a problem at all. 2. A very good breakfast was served at the same restaurant- 3. Peaceful and nice area just opposite the Porto Valtravaglia, Lago Maggiore 4. Very good views of Lago Maggiore from the balconies of the rooms.

Hotel and room was clean, modern, comfortable. Check in was smooth, staff were friendly.

The ridiculous noise levels until very late at night in the hotel (until 2am or 3am, maybe even longer) were terrible. If your room is anywhere to the front of the first floor or anywhere near reception forget coming to this hotel to sleep. You'll get a better night's sleep in your car. The central staircase carries the noise everywhere around the rooms to the front of the hotel (very poor design of architecture). Once the restaurant is finally closed and you can hear the last guest leave, the noise continues, with all the staff talking very loudly, shouting loudly to each other across the room/corridors, dragging the tables across the floor making ridiculously loud scraping noises while they set up the tables for breakfast the next day, for the next hour or so. The staff clearly have no consideration for any of the guests at that time of night!!!!!!! Shocking really! In short, we did not get any sleep, which defeats the point of booking into a hotel for the night, if you're unable to sleep. We may as well have slept in the car, we would have had more sleep.

Beautiful stay at Albergo Del Sole

The staff was hardworking and eager to help. Andra at the desk was very helpful. They were supportive and accommodating. The front desk spoke English well. Loved the fact that the owner (Massimo) was there to watch over and help out with staff. He was a gracious and jovial host who looked after the clients. Beds were very comfortable (though a duvet would have been a nice touch, though not necessary). Beautiful view of the marina directly across the street. Nice little beach for a leisurely swim. Easy to get to and find. Great for a small family or couple's getaway. Really enjoyed our stay! Would gladly come again.

Sounds from the street were prominent when you have a lakeside view. Fortunately, it's not as noisy late at night. It is a busy street during the day and evening. As they are newly opened, it was a bit chaotic but well-controlled. Reserved parking would have been good, though we found some free parking nearby. Other than that there is not much to complain about.

Cheap, simple hotel

Cheap and clean hotel which is good enough for the money you're paying. Staff downstairs was friendly and helpful with their advise. Free parking available right in front of the hotel with the special voucher they give you.

The location is far from ideal and would probably not work if you don't have a car - this is because there is hardly anything around in the town, forcing the need to travel elsewhere to buy food/have dinner. The boat visits Porto's ferry station only 1-2 times a day, so we had to go to nearby towns to travel around the lake. While staying in summer 2020, during COVID, there was one restaurant open in town, and a few little cafes which weren't up to standard that you might expect during your Italian vacation. Room in the hotel was clean and fit its purpose, but was very small and quite old-school.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura dal 31 al 1, per due notti, e l’esperienza è stata deludente. La stanza era molto piccola, il bagno estremamente basico e spartano, con standard ben al di sotto di quanto mostrato online. La colazione viene servita in un bar di fronte, dove il personale è stato scortese e la qualità del cibo pessima: brioches secche e prodotti di scarsa qualità. Le foto presenti su Booking sono fuorvianti e non rappresentano la reale condizione della stanza assegnata, risultando molto diverse dalla realtà. Nel complesso, rapporto qualità-prezzo insufficiente. Non consigliato. Bella vista ma non dalla nostra stanza. bagno molto basico colazione scadente e in bar esterno foto non corrispondenti NON è coerente con un vero 3 stelle
