Great place to watch sunset

We booked the honeymoon suite, the room was bit smaller than thought. Not much room to store luggage. The best thing was you can watch sunset from the balcony, which was perfect. The room came with coffee machine in the morning it was lovely to have a coffee just looking at the sea view . Happy hour was great at the bar, draught beer or glass of wine was buy one get one free 4pm-7pm for another great view to watch sunset. You can ring the bell in the pool for drink order. The staff are so happy and friendly all the time.

There were a few trinkets and ornaments around the room that could do with a deep clean, very dusty and grubby. Excess clutter that’s not needed as it left little space to put our things on.

BLACK MOLD

Common grounds were nice

Arrived at the property to find the one wall completely water damaged and covered in black mold (including the curtains). Went to the reception to ask to move rooms. The receptionist was very aware of exactly where the mold was, and told us there were no other rooms and “if we don’t like it, we can stay somewhere else”. We had booked there for 5 nights. The next day they had someone come into the room and apply a thin layer of plaster to the wall, which did nothing obviously, and the mold was still very much visible. In addition to that, there were spots where water was seeping up through the floor boards when you stepped on them. They refused to give us any compensation or refund, other than one day of free breakfast, which is really nothing. My fiance who slept closest to the wall ended up having respiratory symptoms. The fact that they are aware of the issues in this room and still booking it out is completely irresponsible, considering it can cause serious health problems to guests. I tried escalating this by contacting property management directly. They are not responding to either myself or booking.com. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Great location with nice rooms.

Great views from the pool. Pool a lot colder than most but felt refreshing. Great sized room and bathroom, balcony was great. Friendly staff who can help with taxis. Free taxi back to the pier at end of stay. Great location, in the middle of both the lively parts of Koh Tao.

A lot of ants around the hotel, got a lot of bites around the pool and think in the room too. Tv doesn’t come up with any channels. Would also book trips yourself online. The staff at reception said they would let us know if the trip we wanted to do was going to go ahead because of the weather, found out it did go ahead but they didn’t let us know so we missed out. Restaurant also closed.

View of the ocean from this particular room was excellent. The cleaning staff kept the room and entire property very clean. They were always working hard keeping the property clean.

Loud music from nearby bars until 2am. Mattress could have been a little old. Felt saggy where people lay. The seaside bar and restaurant advertised in the photos was not open and looked like it was in need of a full renovation.

Stunning hotel with beautiful views of Koh Tao

Absolutely beautiful and extremely unique hotel right in the heart of Koh Tao. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and we had our own private patio with a stunning view of the sea. The hotel pool was right at our door step and even had a swim up bar.

The key to the door was a pad lock which was kind of annoying.

Completely satisfied with the Honeymoon Suite

My husband and I spent two weeks at DD Hut in the Honeymoon Suite. We booked the room via Booking including breakfast. We had a very long journey of almost 24 hours and didn't know how to get to the hotel on the way to Koh Tao. After contacting the hotel via Booking to ask if there was a shuttle to the hotel, we were confirmed that we would be picked up even though the driver had already finished work. Our luggage was taken care of and we were taken to the hotel. Once there, we found the beautiful honeymoon decoration on the bed. The honeymoon suite itself is really breathtaking, you have a lot of space there and the view is unbeatable. It was always cleaned very well and the room was always very clean. The hotel has a very good location as it is very close to the tourist centre, but it is quiet here and you can't hear the noise from the restaurants or bars. We were able to this tourist centre and the rest of the island we explored by motorbike. There is a motorbike rental right at the hotel with a very nice employee. On departure, we were taken to the harbour free of charge. All in all, we were completely satisfied and would be happy to come back again if we come to Koh Tao again.

I only have one suggestion for improving breakfast: breakfast is exactly the same every day. You could add some variation here. Otherwise, everything was great here too.

A perfect stay. A real gem. We will be back!

The DD Hut is in a perfect location on the sea front but just far enough away from Sairee not to be noisy. The balcony was perfect with a sun lounger and table and chairs and wonderful sea views. The Seaview restaurant is excellent. The ambience is cosy and romantic. The food was excellent and there was some live music occassionally. The service was also very good. It is just a 10/15 minute walk into Sairee. You can walk along the beach or the path. There is a great atmoshere in the evenings as you walk in and some fabulous massage parlours on the seafront where you can spend a perfect hour having a leg massage whilst listening to the waves.

Reallz nice and welcoming staff, beautiful villas and an incredible pool with a sea view.

We didnt ask for breakfast, but we went there one of the days as we were in a hurry. The food didnt taste good, we tried the eggs, pancakes and french toast. I am still keeping the 10 score as it was not included in our booking.

No beachfront whatsoever. No value for money. I realized when i got there. The people where friendly, but comments in Booking.com said it was "Fab" according to ratings. I book a lot through this app and ratings never fail. But , despite rooms were good , it was double price (shoulder season) that the property or hotel next door. No beachfront to relax, tiny pool, no bar in the pool, I had to go somewhere else to have a drink and chill, no biggie 5 min walk, but i could have paid half the price for same type of accomodation. Nevertheless treatment and rooms according to expected.

Loved! And exactly like the pictures

Such a beautiful accomodation, if I ever come back to Koh Tao I know I will be staying there! The room with the sea view was gorgeous and so comfortable. The staff were really helpful and friendly and constantly kept the place clean for us.

Not the property’s fault but there was construction going on right beside our room for a separate building and it would start quite early in the morning and continue all day so there was a bit of noise pollution but other than that our stay was perfect.

Perfect spot to experience Koh Tao

Great location, on the quieter side of town but still walkable to all the great spots! The staff were so great here, we had issues with checking in very late and they were so helpful with everything and were able to help us with a free taxi transfer back to the pier as well as with hiring a scooter and sorting laundry. Also has a beautiful pool area overlooking the beach. Just wish we’d spent more time here!

Nice stay @ DD Hut

Stunning view, great location. Easy walk into main area of Sairee Beach but far enough away for it to be quiet. Pool area was very nice. Gorgeous view over the water out to sea and up along the coast towards Koh Nangyuan. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Room was dated and needs an update. It looks like this is happening as there are a few rooms at the location that look recently renovated. Bathroom was a bit smelly and if the room and/or bathroom didn't have a window open it would permeate the room (I have found this can happen in Asia due to sewage systems).

Superb

We had a very pleasant stay at DD Hut! The staff were able to accomodate adding an extra bed to our room. The room was very comfortable and clean and was cleaned every day and towels were replaced. It was in a superb location- right next to the beach and main strip of shops, and the view from the pool was gorgeous. DD Hut also provided a free shuttle to the port when we left.

Worth the money

We had pool villa view for 3 nights. Everything was just perfect, friendly service esp. the owner. My husband and I were enjoying the most riding the motorcycle which you can rent right around the corner. Everything is accessible. The hotel’s restaurant is in front just a few second. They also provide the other restaurant called Seaside and you should not have missed it, the food is so fresh with unbelievable view, along with so so excellent super friendly service. The location is in central, just 2-3 mins walking to Sairee beach with numerous bars and fresh premium seafoods. The hotel also provides free taxi from hotel to harbor. We’d definitely be back!

The breakfast is not so much choosable, they have just 8 choices (maybe a bit more) and almost all of those are western foods which is not what we typically wish to eat in Thailand. Anyways the porridge soup + Patongo is nice like local food, but they should definitely add thai food options.

It's ok for a 2 star hotel

Pat and the crew were very friendly. Free transpot to the peir. Good breakfast. Great location, close to the beach and pubs/restaurants but not too close so it was very nice and quiet.

The room was boiling hot when we arrived, the a/c goes off when you take the key from the room so every time we went back the room was hot and we had to wait about 30 min so the a/c would chill it. Sheets were a bit stained, and in the bathroom was a bad smell all the time and also at the pool area.

Superb

The seaview from the honeymoon suite is exceptional and the whole Beach House is spacious and decorated in a lovely way. The bed is super comfortable so we slept like babies. The breakfast is varied and copious so you start your day in a beautiful way. The small infinity pool is a great spot to chill and admire the sea from (sunset side). The staff is also very kind and helpful, they will offer to book for you what you need if they can. Overall the location of the hotel is central, so it's extremely easy to explore around, preferably with a scooter, except for Sairee beach area which is enjoyable by foot. We loved our stay and will definitely come back.

The WiFi needs an upgrade as it is frustratingly slow. Also there is sometimes no water pressure in the bathroom, which makes washing long hair quite difficult.

Beautiful

Amazing location not too far from the center of town. We stayed in the pool villa which was an absolute treat. The view was beautiful. The staff were so welcoming and lovely. We loved it. Thank you DD Hut
