Overall, Ban's is a solid place to stay, mainly because the location is so convenient. You are just a short walk to the Walking Street and close to pretty much everything. We stayed in what seemed to be the newer section, and our room was clean, modern, and in good shape. By far the best part was having the pool right outside our door - we absolutely loved that, and if you do end up booking here, that room setup is definitely what I would recommend. A few practical things worked well too. Having the golf carts drive you around the property is a nice perk, and the transfer service to the pier when we checked out went very smoothly. Breakfast was totally fine, and the on-site laundry was decent enough. That said, a few things took away from the experience. The main issue was the value for money. At around 3,000 baht a night, it felt pretty steep for what you get. We actually liked it enough that we wanted to extend our stay by a few days, but there was a real lack of transparency with the pricing. Every time we asked at the desk, they gave us a completely different number, which was just confusing and frustrating. The front desk staff also felt quite robotic. The resort runs like a massive machine, so while things function, there is basically zero warmth or personal touch. Lastly, we had some ants in the room, but they were especially all over the pool area. We know it is a tropical island surrounded by greenery and we did mention it, but it was still a bit annoying to deal with. All in all, it is a comfortable place in a great spot, and the pool access was awesome. Definitely compare prices beforehand to make sure you get a fair rate.

Overall I enjoyed my time i took a budget room and you could hear ever-present walking in the corridor which is less comfortable, didn't ue much the facilities bet the staff are very attentive and the place provides you water and toilet paper everyday

Ban’s is great as long as choose your room wisely. It is an absolutely sprawling resort on the small island of Koh Tao and there are many different types of rooms. I had initially chosen a Garden Suite room (close to the beach) but when I was checking in I switched to a Hilltop Suite and I am so glad I did. While you do have to negotiate a pretty steep incline to get to the Hilltop suites, the views from the rooms are incredible and it’s much quieter away from the beach. I also received my PADI open water certification at Ban’s and couldn’t be more satisfied with the care and professionalism of my instructor Malou. In short, if you choose your room wisely at Ban’s you shouldn’t be disappointed.

Value delivered is worse thab hostel. Bad smell in the bathroom, noise and location is not like pointed in the map.
