Lovely hotel but not as well priced as it has been previously, some staff members are very abrupt verging on rude. We asked for help with our bags up the steep hills if you stay in the back building, the guy in the golf cart was playing a game on his phone and told us to wait for someone else then continued the game on his phone then drove past us. Beautiful hotel but some rooms smell like damp/drains. No elevators to help with bags, reception staff are very friendly and will help with any bookings/transport needed. In a nut shell if you stay in the front buildings you can hear music from the beach and if you stay in the back building it is separated by a road and steep hills and no option to get a golf cart each time. Would stay here again but have had better experiences at Bans previously.

We had a really nice stay overall and would definitely recommend this resort. The rooms were very clean, and every day we received fresh towels and bottled water, which we really appreciated. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to any request. We did have one unexpected situation – one night we had three geckos in our room, and one of them even got into the bed 😅 The staff tried to find it but couldn’t, so they immediately moved us to a new room without any extra charge or any discussion. The new room was even better than the first one, which we really appreciated. We did still see some geckos in the new room, but that’s probably quite normal for Koh Tao. Tip for future guests: put a towel under the gap between the door and the floor – it helps prevent them from coming in. The resort itself is very large, and they drive you around with a buggy to your room, which is convenient but also means it’s a bit far from everything. You’ll definitely want to rent a scooter, otherwise you’ll spend time waiting at the pick-up point for a ride to reception or the main road. On the plus side, the resort has pretty much everything you need – scooter rentals, a 24-hour shop, a hair salon, and more. Overall, despite the gecko situation, we had a great experience thanks to the amazing staff and upgraded room.

The hotel lobby is right in front of the beach, but the room is way back in the mountains. I feel like this is a scam. If I had known the room was all the way back, more than a 1.8 km walk from the lobby, I would not have booked it.
