Bergamo is a lovely city to day trip from Milano. Easily done in a day and better if overnight.

Lovely hotel in Citta Alta...

Fantastic location, very clean, the best pancakes!

The room wasn't warm enough, felt chilly, no way of turning up radiators. The hallway outside and bathroom were much warmer..The hot plate did not keep food hot in the morning. We were there at 8am both mornings, bacon and fried eggs were cold.

the only positive was the room - roomy clean and comfortable with good bathroom

a bit querky! No welcoming recepetion just a self-service computer screen with 3 x security codes for entry/check-in/access to bedroom. Only saw one member of staff and that was at breakfast!

Location of the accommodation is excellent, but it's let down by the lack of personal touch.

The location of the property is superb. It's a 2 min walk into the centre at Piazza del Duomo. The one and only staff member I did see at breakfast the following morning was extremely friendly, and very helpful to answer questions.

Personally, I didn't like the lack of a personal greeting / human intervention upon arrival. Check in is done via a tablet. I get that this makes things easier for the owner, but I prefer a welcoming face and smile upon arrival.

For the price this hotel is asking, I expected better service and higher quality accommodations.

The location of this hotel is excellent but apart of this nothing good We had a little bit early arrival and as check in is only at 15:00 we called them to ask permission to leave our bags in the hotel and to come back when room will be available. When we arrived women couldn’t understand what we are doing there and only after calling the person we spoke early she allowed us to leave bags in our room but to come back only after the 15:00 The room was ready, and why can't we use it early…. Returning from the city and entering the bedroom, we felt a strong smell of damp walls. Opening the closet released an even stronger odor, which spread throughout the room. I lost the desire to put my clothes in the closet. The paint on the window slopes is peeling and the curtains on the windows look like they have been hanging for many centuries. The decorative pillows on the bed look like they have been there since the building was built and have lost their original color, and the pillows are impossible to sleep on because they are so hard. The last thing is the toilet lid, which no one has washed and is yellow at the bottom from urine. Finally,there was breakfast with dried fried eggs and empty trays. Moreover,when we asked for fresh ones, the answer was that these were also fresh and had been fried today... and only after asking again, we received freshly fried eggs. All photosare attached.

Elegant building, perfect location to visit the old city. Our room was very clean, essential but comfortable for a short stay. The breakfast was very good and the staff we met at the breakfast room was super nice. The instructions for the contactless check-in were easy to follow.

The room was a bit cold at the beginning, but you can add extra heating and it helps a lot.

Excellent location! The best choice we could have made. Very could breakfast and very hospitable and friendly personel. Their perfect client service and amenities , made our visit more pleasant and relaxing. Many thanks to Andrea for his delicious capuccino!!

Right in the heart of Bergamo alta

Location was excellent. Although there was some building work going on in the location that took us off course from Google directions though also meant we were lucky enough to go down little streets we would not have found

I'm 71 and the steps in the apartment up to our 3rd floor were not ideal though it was explained there was no lift

Efficient check in, amazing location, great rooms and great breakfast ! Very friendly staff as well, and our room had a gorgeous view of the mountains.

Beautiful historic building in an excellent location

This is an absolutely stunning hotel- the building is full of history with a fabulous garden. The rooms were beautiful. It is located right in the heart of the old town, but down a little street so that it was quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend!

The only thing I found a little odd was the self-service check-in, which meant that we didn’t actually meet any members of staff other than the lovely person who served us breakfast. There was a phone number given if we needed to contact them, but I missed speaking to a real person!

It is a beautiful space, very well located in Citta Alta. The convenient location makes it easy to get around. The garden was beautiful, loved being able to take a break in the there. The breakfast was very good, with a good variety and very friendly staff.

Great location in the center of the old city of beautiful Bergamo. The lower city is also worth a visit. Good beds and lots of space. Tasty breakfast with lots of choice.

No elevator, for us this was no problem but if you cannot walk well, this is not your place.

Good communication with owner, smooth self check-in, available parking in gated area. Good breakfast with salty and sweet options. Friendly staff. Ecxellent location in the hart of cittá alta.

Small roads lead to the location, must purchase a ZTL car pass due to city regulations, but the owner provides great instructions including video of the location and parking. Parking might be tricky with bigger cars. The room was located on 2nd floor, no elevator (good to know for those with limited mobility).
