I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. The location is absolutely perfect — nestled in stunning natural surroundings, yet just a short walk from both the funicolare and the city center of Citta Alta. It offers the best of both worlds: peaceful and quiet, but still close to everything. The room (deluxe) was beautifully decorated, spacious, and spotlessly clean, with a lovely view that made the stay even more special. The service was great — the staff were professional and ready to help with what we needed. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a touch of tranquility. I can’t wait to return

Fantastic location but a bit pricey

Amazing location in Bergamo Alta with a lovely view and close to cafes and restaurants. The room was comfortable with a very nice bathroom and small touches to make you feel welcome. Staff was very kind at check-in and check-out, at breakfast we had mixed experiences

Breakfast is quite basic and is served in a small room on -1 without light or windows. We decided to eat on the terrace, which is lovely, but it is a bit uncomfortable to bring your food and drinks up and down. We would have appreciated a bit more options and better coffee. We booked the hotel with a considerable discount, otherwise it would not have been worth the money. Parking is available but at quite a high fee and we only found out at check-out.

Great small hotel in a fantastic location- really good staff made us feel welcome .

Breakfast was great - not huge options but this is a small hotel. Very friendly and efficient staff.

We thought our room was great size but it was a bit gloomy and no views which was a shame. I think this was because we booked quite late.

Cute property but do not expect anything wow!

Check in was easy and informative. Room was close to elevators and a decent size. Location is amazing with a good uphill walk to the top or a short walk into the old town. Breakfast was close to being good and they catered to everything we asked.

Room had no shampoo or shower gel. Wifi password was on room key but easy to miss when you are not informed. Breakfast there was one lady to serve - she tried her best and did great but she needed some help. Buffet could be a little better organised and clear (it's a mix of upstairs and downstairs). Bar was closed on the night we stayed. AC in the room was lacklustre at best...it wouldn't cool enough for our liking. Car park charge for in house guests...would think this could be included?

Very confortable position. From some rooms and the terrace there is a wonderful view. The rooms are well equipped confortable and clean. The staff is very polite and helpful.

The cappuccino at breakfast is should be prepared with fresh milk. The breakfast room in the basement is too small., although if the weather is nice you seem allowed to go to the terrace

A magical stay that we thoroughly enjoyed!

Lovely hotel. Rooms are decorated in a modern style. The hotel itself is a traditional building with stunning views over Bergamo. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and set in the relaxed outdoor area, again with stunning views. Definitely 10/10 and I would like to return!

Better than expected, hoped for or imagined.

Le Funi hotel is beautiful. The location is exceptionally placed for accessing Bergamo with a direct bus from the airport. We were delighted with the friendly staff and the relaxed atmosphere. The room was wonderfully clean and well made with more than enough space for the two of us.

The only minor point that could be improved is the cleaning staff start between 07:30 and seemed to start under our room every morning waking us. The bells are also fairly loud in the morning but this is to be expected!

Great location, delicious breakfast, lovely staff

Great location, a couple of minutes walk to the old town centre. Breakfast was amazing, great choice of sweet and savoury items and the option to order freshly squeezed juice. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and let us leave our car in the parking after we'd checked out so we could explore around before coming home. We also had our room upgraded free of charge, a lovely surprise. There is also an outside area which would be great in summer, unfortunately during our stay it was raining 😅

Someone in the room above sounded like the were moving around furniture and banging things around at 6am even though the hotel policy states that quiet time is until 7am. Obviously this is not the fault of the hotel, you could find inconsiderate people wherever you go.

This hotel is a no go.

The hotel is not far from the old town, a 5-minute walk away. You can reserve a parking lot at the hotel for a fee.

It has never happened to us anywhere that the two rooms reserved for my family were not close to each other as requested. They were at two different ends of the hotel. When we complained about this at reception, they told us they were fully booked and couldn't do anything about it. We asked in advance for quiet rooms facing the courtyard. None of the rooms faced the courtyard, but they did face the street. The road in front of the hotel is not busy, but it is stony and steep, with noisy motorbikes driving here until late at night. The noise from the cable car was known to us in advance through the guest reviews, but we only found out on site that this noise lasts into the night and comes every 15 minutes. The rooms have been renovated and the furnishings are modern. But the windows are old, do not close properly and have only two layers of glass. Therefore, the noise from the surroundings comes into the rooms undisturbed. The breakfast is very very modest and boring. This hotel is not worth the price you have to pay for it.

The view from the terrace is lovely. The lights at night too and the location is quite convenient .

Several things didn’t work in our room. The toilet flush was broken and loosing water, the shower drainer didn’t work and the extra bed mattress was super hard.

Beautiful setting and very relaxing.

Great location. Near to everything in Cite Alta but also quiet. Room was comfortable and spacious. The staff, without exception, were very friendly and helpful. A special mention to Marta who went over and above to help us with some complicated transportation issues and was utterly lovely when I wasn’t very well. Thank you.

An oasis in Bergamo

Peaceful haven after Milan. Warm welcome and lovely rooms with comfortable beds, mini fridge with reasonable priced drinks, kettle and brilliant shower. Breakfast outside in July under the shaded terrace was perfect and a great selection. All staff excellent. Location close to the funicular to the upper town. It is up a short but steep hill. It's only a short walk from the town for restaurants and the bus to/from the airport. Also great views from the hotel!

Not really a bar there now, although you could get drinks from a fridge near reception. But not really a problem as mini bar reasonably priced and areas outside to sit and enjoy.

Bergamo delight

Amazing hotel in the lovely Citta Alta Bergamo. Close to the funicular, which is lovely (in some rooms you can just hear it rumble by but not an issue). Rooms lovely with all amenities and some have great views. Breakfast fantastic. Staff excellent and couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended!!

There is a short steep hill for the last 50m or so, that may be an issue for some people. Walks off a few of the pizza calories!
