Definitely a place to return to!

A small inn located in the center of the old town in a very historic building. Amazing breakfast beautifully served. The staff is friendly, welcoming and clearly loves the place. Thank you for the patience helping us get to the parking, and for lugging our suitcases up three flights of stairs!

As mentioned above, there are a lot of stairs, and maybe it’s better to park in the lower city and not drive through the old city.

I have never stayed anywhere remotely like the excellent Locanda Mimmo.

Locanda Mimmo gives an unlikely blend of traditional 14th century Italian architecture carefully designed internally to modern self-contained units. I stayed in an apartment and was more than presently surprise and just hope I’m fortunate enough to visit again with my wife. If I had to score my experience I’d quite easily give Locanda Mimmo 10 out of 10.

Awesome place in the heart of the Città Alta of Bergamo

Really nice place in the middle of the Citta Alta. Friendly staff, a sensational pizza and lot's of fantastic places close by.

If you travel by car the only drawback of the really central location is obviously parking. You can find parking areas 8-10 min away for 30€/day. On the way back we found out that you can also take Bus #1 directly from Bergamo airport. It goes via downtown area up to the entrance of the "Funicolare" and then straight to the upper historic area. The hotel is then only 5min away ;)

Feel at home in charming place in the Old City

I organised a trip to the Donizetti Festival and booked rooms for my guests at Mimmo. First of all: the staff is wonderfull!! So friendly and immediatly make one feel at home: this goes for reception as well ad for people working in the restaurant, next to reception. The food and service in restaurant is exquisite. If you dont mind some stairs it is highly recommended.

I would say almost perfect. Some in my group regretted the lack of an elevator as most rooms are on second or third floor. For others it was no problem as that gives you some excersise for all the good food at breakfast or dinner :)

Fantastic stay

Superb accommodation in the heart of the Old Town. Excellent room facilities. Breakfast was superb and they gave us a breakfast box as we were checking out early on our last day. We also made use of the 10% discount in their restaurants and shop.

A very nice stay in the center of the beautiful medieval town of Bergamo. We would stay there again.

Room was spacious, completely renovated recently, all new fixtures and furniture, well equipped, quiet and comfortable. AC was adequate and responsive. The location is very good, right in the center of the Citta Alta and the management runs the restaurant on the ground floor where a very nice breakfast was served. Breakfast included excellent products, fresh breads and cakes and eggs to order. The staff were very nice and helpful in every way.

The stair is a bit of a climb but management carried our luggage up for us and assured us they would bring it back down for checkout if we wished. The building is very old but very well built and cared for. No negatives.

Unit was up quite a lot of stairs and through mulitple door-ways, not the easiest with luggage but they helped us. Driving into the city center to drop off luggage is possible, but stressful.

Wonderful One-Night Stay in Bergamo

We stayed at Locanda Mimmo for one night and had a fantastic experience. The staff were absolutely amazing—friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure our luggage was in the room upon arrival. Our room overlooked the main road, but it was peaceful inside. The air conditioning was perfect, the shower worked flawlessly, and the bed was very comfortable. The room was tastefully decorated and clean. Breakfast was delicious, offering a great start to the day. Overall, a highly recommended stay with attentive staff and excellent amenities!

Excellent stay at Locanda Mimmo

All of the staff were very helpful and friendly and are a credit to the hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and very well equipped with an espresso machine and a fridge. The beds were extremely comfortable. The location is perfect; you can't get a better central spot, just a few minutes stroll from the main square. No noise from the street outside as the sympathetically designed double glazing works perfectly. The breakfast is beautiful; fresh home made breads, fruits, yogurts, cereals, pastries meats, eggs and cheese. I would return here, and will recommend it to others.

fantastic, recommendable hotel

Very large bed, clean modern bathroom, fantastic breakfasts with freshly baked bread, with sweet and savory options, we had the Tasso room on the 3rd floor (the gentleman from the staff carried our suitcase to the room), location in the old town right next to Piazza Vecchia.

This room is connected with 2 other rooms by one common room (with kitchenette, table, etc.). Unfortunately, spending time in this common room disturbs the peace of other residents. So if you are unlucky and have entertaining neighbors, you will probably not rest.

Loved the property, loved the location and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and beautiful.

Unfortunately, too many steps to our rooms. We thought it was only one flight but we were on 3rd floor. As we get older, this will not be possible.

I have been charged twice for the city tax ,which has been charged by Booking once and then during the check-in by the property. Booking just forwarded an email in Italian confirming I paid extra for "Tassa di soggiorno " but did not help to resolve my issue.

Had a wonderful stop over in Bergamo we would recommend the Laconda for a central location

Location is excellent right in the centre of the old town. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially as we arrive late. They fed us even though the kitchen had closed.

Shared kitchen facilities not really a problem but was unexpected we thought we had private use. Lots of stairs to carry luggage down.
