Villa Sassi

This restored 18th-century villa is located in one of the most beautiful parts of Como, where you’ll find other villas set in similarly large gardens. There are no crowds - just silence all around, spacious grounds, and vineyards and olive groves on the land. I was able to park my own car in our separate garden, completely safely, so unloading our suitcases was easy. The best part, however, was that our host -Laurence - welcomed us very warmly. She gave us detailed information about good beaches, restaurants, and boat tours, and even made reservations for us. We were able to have brunch and dinner in the garden in the beautiful sunshine; we felt right at home.

Personally, I love beautiful, old buildings like this, but you have to be willing to make some compromises. If you're looking for 21st-century luxury, you're in the wrong place. But if you love old buildings, thick walls, beautiful architectural details, and a huge, private garden, then this is the place for you!

Beautiful building and garden. Very peaceful setting. Best place to relax after day trips to more touristic spots.

Heel vriendelijke gastvrouw, die voldoende privacy gaf maar steeds beschikbaar was om tips te geven rond de omgeving. Super mooie locatie, de rust is fantastisch en het uitzicht is ongelooflijk. Alles wat nodig is om een schitterende vakantie te hebben is aanwezig. Een aanrader!
