We just returned from an incredible 2-night stay at Como Lake & Mountain, and can honestly say this was the highlight of our Italian getaway. From the moment we arrived at this charming apartment on Via Torno, we were swept away by the breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Como, the shimmering city lights, and the majestic mountains right from the two expansive terraces. It’s like having your own private postcard. The apartment itself is a dream for families or small groups. The two cozy bedrooms – one with a plush queen and the other with comfy twins – plus the living room sofa bed gave everyone space to unwind. The fully equipped kitchen was a godsend; we loved the fresh coffee and the welcome bottle of Prosecco, thoughtfully left by the hosts. Spotless bathrooms with all the free toiletries you need – everything felt modern yet so invitingly Italian. Kudos to our superstar hosts who were beyond gracious! They met us at the train station and delivered us safely to our mountain villa. The location is unbeatable: just an 18-minute stroll to Como Lago station for day trips to Bellagio or Varenna, yet tucked away enough for peace and quiet. Loved everything. View was amazing. Very clean and comfortable. Good communication with property owners.

Bit awkward for taxis due to road being unsafe - we didn’t feel safe walking down but there is a bus service down the road.

Great Lake House vibe

It was a very beautiful view of the lake!

It was somewhat difficult to get to. The bus doesn’t run on a schedule and is late and is a bit unsafe walking on the road. But that is not the accommodations fault. Just where it is located.

It was so good we would come back

Location was good and the host had left some coffee, tea, biscuits, cakes and a bottle of fizz.

Just the fact that there is no pavement outside, but there is nothing the host can do about that.

Beautiful view

Beautiful location with amazing view across the lake. Bus stop really close by to go to both Como centre and Bellagio. Also only a short walk in to como centre if you are able. Responsive and helpful hosts.

Simply amazing

I’ve been to many dozens of private accommodations but this one stands out, like the snowy tips of the mountains around the Lake Como. Absolutely exceptional in every aspect: views, nature, design, style, architecture, bedding, maintenance, attentiveness, personal communication with the owner. The personal touch coming through the books, artwork, old furniture mixed with very comfortable modern items matches the quality of the surroundings with the interior. Could hardly think of anything better.

It’s not that there was anything we didn’t like. But if someone is not aware of the clearly announced warnings that the house can only be accessed from a narrow road with practically no sidewalk it may become a difficulty. However, the owner made sure our safety was as perfect as it gets at such a place, helping us in and out of the garage stopping the traffic , showing us a side-route to walk to the city on safe, pleasant pathway by the lake. So all this becomes rather an extra positive- obviously the location is not ideal for everyone. But those, brave enough to take the nuisance, will be highly rewarded.

Exceptional

The most beautiful view of the lake from the terrace, nice decoration, coffee and prosecco compliments, and Luka's hospitality. Luka immediately respond to us all the time we need help. Also, he took us to the Como center and back when he is available. You can also take C30 and C31 buses to reach the house. Lastly, the house was clean and full equipped.

Beautiful holiday home

Things we liked- :The beautiful view over Lake Como. :The 2 terraces-one in the sun and one in the shade. :Brilliant air conditioning . :Lovely beds. :There's 2 toilets,very handy with a teenager! :Loads of space even with 3 people. :Very attentive hosts. :Peaceful location-it's far enough away from the crowds in the town. :A mix of modern and traditional-the photos don't do it justice. :Good WiFi.

Unbelievable- we will be back!

The views are breathtaking.. the pictures don’t do it justice. The host is super friendly and very helpful as well as fast responding. Just a short walk into como or it is a short walk down the steps to the bus stop. The bus stop on the street also takes you to places like Bellagio and Nesso in the opposite direction. There was also a nice beach club just down the steps where you can jump into the lake. Very beautiful all round. Would definitely go again!

The apartment was very nice, with an amazing view of Lake Como. Mr. Luca, the owner of the apartment, was very helpful with us as a family and provided us with additional assistance services. We loved staying there and will come back again.

Beautiful property with amazing views of the lake. The terrace was wonderful for outdoor breakfast and dinner, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare food.

The only downside was difficult parking for our vehicle, as there is limited street parking down the hill.

Loved the view of Lake Como out of almost every window! Very spacious and roomy. Large deck to enjoy the sun!

Did NOT like the washing machine as it left water in the machine after it’s long cycle and I had to hand squeeze water out of everything. Luckily it was warm enough to air dry my items outside quickly. Difficult to get around if you can’t hop on a bus or get a taxi. We had to walk to the property each night because there weren’t any taxis to take us back.

Parking and access is terrible - if you are lucky you park 150m away and then have to wheel you bag on the busy main road without a pavement until you reach the property. Very Noisy at night - very noisy dogs next door barking very loudly plus live bands seem to play close by.

Amazing views of Lake Como.

The location was private with an amazing view. The location was a 15 minute walk to Como City, so not too secluded but close enough to restaurants. The rooms were comfortable and having two toilets was helpful. The deck was a lovely place for a sunset meal.

Paper towels or cloth napkins would have been helpful. The road down to Como has no sidewalk for a bit so you need to be aware of cars.

Charming place with some flaws

Great location close to Como. Wonderful apartment. Spacious and well equipped.

Heating didn't work, it was freezing! Although there was a great fireplace, we were not allowed to use it which was very disappointing. Parking is a nightmare and requires long walks on a very busy & dangerous street.

Como holiday

The two terraces were amazing! We had the most incredible view of the lake.The self-checkin went very smooth.

The location isn’t the best, you can’t park in the street. And if you want to go to Como you have to walk a little dirty road up & down the hill. After a week, we were a bit tired of that path. The closest store is also a 30 min walk.

Pretty Good

The appartment is clean and quite large. The amenities were good. The host is lovely and provided us with a bottle of wine and some other nibbles. The views from the appartment are awesome. The bus from town can drop you off near the appartment for €1.50 but only runs every hour or so. The owners cat Stella is cute as hell. We will miss her cuddles.

The location is a bit too far out of town. The road is narrow and quite dangerous to walk on as the footpath stops part way up the hill. A taxi from the bottom of the hill cost us about €10. The traffic can be very loud (mainly if a police car or street sweeper goes past) The three dogs bark a fair bit (not that much at night though).

Sehr schöne Lage mit tollem Ausblick über den See. Die Wohnung war sehr gut ausgestattet und schön dekoriert. Sehr guter Kontakt mit den Gastgebern, die sehr hilfsbereit waren.
