An excellent location, in the heart of the Higashiyama district, close to major temples, museums, the river and the Gion district; also close to the railway station. Cute Japanese style house with enough room for 3 generations of our family and well serviced.
This is a Japanese style home with only futons to sleep on, low tables and not a chair or sofa in the house! The ceilings were also very low for our tall Aussie men. Charming but not very comfortable after a couple of days.

Een charmant ruim huis in een rustige buurt, op loopafstand van bushalte en station. Persoonlijke incheck, iedere dag schone handdoeken en flesjes water. Thee en koffie aanwezig. Lawson om de hoek. Top service. Aanrader deze plaats!
Boven was het een beetje te warm om te slapen (augustus) en de 'tuin' en het bad had ik ietsje groter verwacht. Lage doorgang bij de keuken, regelmatig ons hoofd gestoten. Maar futiliteiten vergeleken bij de voordelen.

Das Haus war sehr schön und man fühlte sich dort sehr wohl. Wir waren zu dritt und hatten viel Platz. Die Lage war ruhig in einer schönen Nachbarschaft. Es hat uns gut gefallen.
Eigentlich gibt es nichts zu kritisieren. Wir haben jedoch die Entfernungen etwas unterschätzt. Das ist vor allem an Regentagen ein kleines Hindernis. Wenngleich der öffentliche Nahverkehr gut erreichbar ist, empfehlen wir ein Fahrrad zu mieten.
