This was one of the best places we stayed in Japan.It was a great experience to stay in a traditional-style room. It was well equipped with a kitchen and area for having tea, and a nice wooden bath. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is very central in Gion and it is a lovely place to go for a walk around the historic part of town.

The property is lovely. Every detail, from the small scale artwork, beautiful tea set, lovely toiletries, and fantastic staff who helped with every detail, made our visit memorable. Although the property is small our room was large and so comfortable. It probably isn’t a place to stay with small children or for a boisterous group because of the Japanese rice paper walls in places, but the serenity is so nice to come back to after an energetic day of crowded sightseeing. I highly recommend this property.
There is nothing that I didn’t like. I liked everything!

Love love love this guesthouse. An oasis of calm in a lively district. Rooms are beautiful, excellent facilities. They have thought of everything. The staff were absolute gems and so helpful.
