Nice traditional style Japanese hotel, but with some nice modern amenities. Loved the location in the heart of Gion (beautiful area). Rooms were cozy. Beds were actually pretty comfortable even though they were on the floor. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was courteous!
Would have preferred some later breakfast options. Wifi coverage wasn't great.

This stay is basically for those who would like to experience a bit of the traditional Japanese way of living on which count it proved to be just appropriate. The icing on the cake were the meals the bfast and the dinners that were laid out for the guests every day which to say the least was like an adventure in gastronomic discovery.
Except that the room alloted to us had toilet and shower separated and not enclosed together, which is something we never expected, nothing else that I can think about.

Incredible location. Friendly staff.
The mats in the floor were so uncomfortable.
