Loved the location. Great shrine right around the corner. Easy to walk to shopping and the markets. It's very clean and the layout with the bedrooms on 2nd floor with half bath and the living space and bathroom downstairs. Great water pressure and spacious bath. The toilet is in a separate room which is nice

The location close to Gion was great - easy to get bus or train to sites. Washing machine and bathroom had been newly renovated, clean and lovely.
Sleeping arrangements. We thought a Japanese experience would be fun, but it meant nowhere to sit except the floor, and one couple were in a tiny room on the floor. Only partial handrail on steps was dangerous. Would probably suit young family better than 2 couples.
