A stunning property with views of the lake and beautifully maintained gardens and pool.

The property was ideal for us as a family. We had the two ground floor apartments across from each other. The location high in the hills above the lake meant the views were incredible. The pool and gardens were beautifully well maintained. The walk down to the lake is quite steep with hundreds of steps so we easily justified the extra gelatos each day!

The apartment within the villa was perfect for 4 people.

Everything, including the stunning views. Picking and eating figs and grapes on property and roasting chestnuts from the adjoining path was a special treat.

The location was beautiful and had some amazing scenery. It was also close to walk to Bellagio, a pleasant stroll. The host was friendly and very helpful. The apartment was comfortable, clean and spacious. We had a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay at Il Poggio, what a great base to explore Bellagio.

It was a beautiful property with a fabulous view of Lake Como. It was very clean and spacious, and Francesca was so helpful in showing us how to get around without worrying about our car.

We really enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed staying at Il Poggio for 4days. The room is a bit too big for two with big living, one bed room and great shower facility. The garden of the villa is huge and has one of the best view in Bellagio with a great pool. It is so fantastic so that we stayed a couple of hours just looking the view of Como lake and Swiss/Italian Alps. Room is very clean and the owner lady is very kind and often visits the villa for us, other guest and even urgent needs. One more thing we appreciated a lot was that she gave us three great restaurants and pastry shop recommendation, all of them are so delicious. It is hard to find those great places without local people advice, which is crucial in busy touristic town like Bellagio.

To enjoy the great view from the villa. We have to climb up over 100s steps stairs to the villa when we walked out to the town. (10mins or less)

A beautiful property with spectacular views!

Beautiful, bucolic views of the countryside, hills, picturesque little hamlets, and lake. Quiet and relaxing. Removed from the hustle and bustle of Bellagio town. I enjoyed walking and exploring, finding little shortcuts and alleyways. Wonderful pool - again, those amazing views! The apartment included two full master rooms and bathrooms and was very well-appointed. Excellent friendly and helpful hosts!

The only caveat here is that it’s 10-minute drive from the town (and the ferry). It’s not really walkable, especially with luggage. Taxis are very hard to come by. I’d recommend renting a car or at least securing a taxi.

Incredible House and grounds with a view to die for

This place is incredible! The pictures really do not do it justice. You can be in Bellagio centre in 15 mins walking (some steep paths & steps) but it feels like you are a million miles away from everything once there. The peaceful surroundings are just superb and you can sit fir hours and watch the view of the lake. Excellent pool overlooking the lake. Plenty of space here, and the parking is a real added bonus as everything is safe and secure and lots of room to park. We spent a good half day round the pool and we ate one evening in the garden. Supermarket literally just down a very steep path and a coffee & cake shop 10 mins walk away. We stayed local eating only outside of the centre. Cant wait to return - this time for longer. Francesca was a super host and even when we locked ourselves out of the room she was able to sort it out straight away.

A dream!

The hotel is one of the loveliest places I have ever stayed: breathtaking views, charming rooms, extremely helpful and kind host. We stayed in the suite with the large terrace overlooking the grounds and the view (#3, I believe). I definitely recommend that choice if you can snag it, but, if you can’t the pristine grounds with the pool overlooking an olive grove and surrounded by an array of flowers offer many comfortable areas for coffee and cocktails. Lake Como spreads endlessly in front offering a dream-like panoramic view. This visit was relaxing—a romantic dream. I cannot recommend it more highly! I will definitely return if I am lucky!

Would love to revisit Il Poggio one day, bring extended family and rent the entire house.

We loved everything about our stay at Il Poggio. Francesca was so helpful and gave us lots of tips for our stay in Bellagio. The apartment was spotlessly clean, the views were amazing and the gardens/pool area were just beautiful.

Probably just a little further than we thought from town especially if walking, but we did have a car and once we got used to the parking situation closer to town, great advice from Francesca, it was totally OK.

Настоящие итальянские апартаменты в чудесном месте с невероятно красивыми видами! Цветущий балкон в тени, тишина, уединение, цветочный аромат, ухоженная территория, бассейн - так хотелось остаться здесь еще и еще… До центра Белладжио можно дойти пешком. Спускаться с горы нужно минут 10, но для нас это не было сложно. До ближайшего магазина и булочной можно дойти за 15 минут, на машине 5. Место очень уединенное, вечером так приятно наблюдать за уходящим солнцем и ощущать прохладу. Здесь самый лучший вид на озеро, мы были в нескольких местах, это самое лучшее! В апартаментах царит уютная атмосфера сдержанного итальянского кантри.

Немного жесткие подушки. Но думаю, что этот момент милая хозяйка Франческа может исправить, если добавить в апартаменты дополнительный комплект подушек другого типа.
