Location
Water was leaking all over the bathrooom. Staff come to clean the bathroom, but didn’t change the room, they say no more room available.
We have to stop the water during the night.

Lake view and the Main Street beautiful and very convenient location .
Honestly for me there was nothing not to like .

The room was wonderful as was the location - could not have been better. Did not have breakfast.

The restaurant was good! However they tried to press us as Americans to tip. We’ve traveled quite a bit to Europe and this was definitely off putting! We felt the only reason they did so was because we’re American!
The hotel was lacking. The concierge was the hostess stand. The noise from the kitchen was very loud in the early morning hours and there was some sort of construction. It was very basic and not worth the money at all!

Excellent location, restaurant (both of them) were fantastic, our view was absolutely breathtaking & I would definitely stay again.
View - tick, nice bathroom - tick, location - tick. Comfy bed - tick. Also it was very very clean!
I read a couple of bad reviews before I booked but I didn’t agree at all, our experience was really good. Also saw lots of people dragging cases up steep busy Bellagio steps but not for this hotel! We were right on the front.
For the price & the star rating (which should be higher) I think we were lucky to find this.
We got a taxi to Milan airport just to avoid any delays after getting here was quite busy on train and ferry.

Location, next to peer, in the center of everything
It is more like a restaurant with rooms on upper floors, interesting setup, but cosy

Location is great, right on the bank, near Bellagio ferry station
It is hard to find the hotel entrance since it is actually a restaurant and you nerd to go right through the main room to the desk. Old facility, needs some repair. Very noisy due to restaurant till midnight because of guests and after you can see staff talking and performing their duties. Staff extremely rude and not helpful at all. First, I asked where is entrance to the hotel, waiter couldn’t answer. Day after I asked about breakfast, the lady told that it is over (after 10am), and it seems she was happy about it. Also, they took city tax 2 euro, but booking wrote 1 euro. Room with view is overpriced. Kettle didn’t work, there is no water or coffee machine in the room

Upstairs over very nice restaurant. Perfect spot when visiting Bellagio.
When booked, it showed as Ristorante Suisse. Couldn't contact via our US phone. Directions (the only road) lead us down a closed, cobblestone path into a very cool piazza. We were the only car in a sea of tables and people. After locating the restaurant and getting the key, I was told there would be parking along the road. There was none and had to walk a loooong way to find a spot. The noise from the kitchen went on well into the night. Did have the best steak.
I enjoyed the two day stay, but it wouldn't be for everybody. TV didn't work.

Great location and view. Restaurant was delicious.
Most of the staff were helpful but a few weren’t friendly and seemed bothered when I needed something. The reception desk is in main restaurant area so certain staff didn’t know how to help hotel guests and seemed bothered. Hotel will be better once they work out a few things. Some rooms were being renovated.

The staff was the only thing that was a good experience.
Overall the stay at Hotel Suisse was terrible. To start off, there is no reception area and we had to check in to our hotel at the hotel suisse restaurant. This required us to walk through people enjoying their food with all our suitcases. There is also NO ELEVATOR. This is not stated anywhere. Be prepared to have to drag your luggage up 3 flights of stairs. The hotel room had no refrigerator and no safe. Our toilet broke after using it once (the staff member that helped fix it was extremely nice). The hotel is connected to the restaurant making the rooms and hallways smell like dirty oil and rotten fish. It was nauseating to constantly smell food. After the restaurant closes, there is NO ONE in the hotel. No security, no front desk, nothing. When the restaurant closes, all the staff leaves. Around 12 AM this loud alarm started blaring and DID NOT stop. There was no staff to take care of it and it went on. We were worried it was a gas leak. We had to leave the hotel for a flight early in the morning and since there was no staff to check out with, they told us to unlock a side door to leave and to put our keys on any table inside. This meant the hotel was completely unlocked after we left which is also unsafe. Terrible experience here highly recommend booking somewhere else.

Nothing
The staffs were not nice nor care for the customers. It was very laud and noise at night till midnight to disturb our sleep. When we asked to tune down the sound, the staff (manager) was rude and confrontative to the us. This is absolutely not acceptable. We were very upset and unpleasant to stay there.

The view from our lake view room was spectacular, also our little balcony, very pretty. But we did pay extra for lake view. This hotel is SO convenient as its on the lake front right opposite the ferry terminal and many nice restaurants are located very close. This visit was a 90’s recreate from when I stayed here 1998 with my best friend whilst interrailing. Returned to celebrate our 50th birthdays. The restaurant downstairs really did look fabulous, you would need to book in advance to dine in. Staff are very good, very friendly, very efficient check in.
It was expensive. Booked 8 months in advance and paid £600 for a double room for 2 nights. As a student in the 90s we definitely did not pay that!! The kitchen prep was very noisy from 7am. There was construction work going on above us and in the building next door so was very noisy also from 7am. No bar. Room only with no possibility of breakfast at all, even as an extra. We went out for breakfast but as a resident it would have been very nice to have been served a simple breakfast on the beautiful terrace. Tables were only for lunch and dinner. Shower took a long while for hot water. Room was very very basic although comfortable bed. But needed extra pillows.

The access to rooms go through the restaurant kitchen back of house , terrible smell .. the room had a drain smell all night
Did not like it

The bed and pillows were outstanding. Best sleep I had on this trip. I must get those pillows for home.
No room for toiletries in the bathroom. Mold in the shower around the base.

The hotel is currently under construction and I got the opportunity to stay in one of the updated rooms. A lot of space and got an upgrade to the room with a sauna in the bathroom. The room was comfortable, great bed and bathroom. Very bare otherwise. This is an interesting hotel as it is above a restaurant and you need to check in through the restaurant. The staff just handed me my key and sent me on my way. No information on how to access after-hours. There isn't a reception so you need to come in through a side door when the restaurant closes. The staff couldn't be any less interested if they tried. The restaurant itself was amazing. The food was pretty spectacular but be prepared to pay a premium. If you expect service and amenities then this isn't the place for you. The property was under construction so some areas were pretty messy. This is more of a restaurant with accomodation than a hotel. Don't be fooled by the name.
Service - on check in guests should be given a run down of how to access the building and shown around. Restaurant staff constantly seem bothered by your presence when you have to come in and out of the "hotel"
Careless room service - upon returning to my room after a day around the lake I found that room service had left their keys in my door- allowing anyone who walked by to have access to my personal belongings.
No room safe - there was no safe box in the room. This further highlights the negligence of their room service leaving keys in the door. Find a safe space for your passport and expensive items.

The location, like all properties in Bellagio, is great.
This is not a hotel, it is a number of rooms located above a restaurant with no other facilities. Our room was one floor above the kitchen and was very loud until around midnight-1am, you could hear everything including all other guests coming up the stairs and talking loudly. There was no soundproofing.

I liked the view of the lake and the balcony. The restaurant was excellent. The bed was comfortable. Staff was very nice and accomodating.
There was no hairdryer.had to get luggage up several flights of stairs. They did get someone to carry bags up but we had to get them down. No elevator. The restaurant is one floor below the room and had music most nights. Noise from restaurant and music usually until midnight. We were able to cope, but not the best.

Absolutely fantastic location! so close to the ferry port and the view from our window was incredible.
facilities are old and need updating. The power went out on our first night and had to be turned back on at the switch. the shower also didn’t train properly.

Great location, Great staff
Hotel was under construction that was not mentioned by booking.com in any way, no breakfast capabilities as such due to refurbrishing of various hotel areas, no water bottles in room, no coffee in room, only tea packs...
I personally dont think this a hotel issue but booking.com issue and they should refund atleast 60% of our money back.

Staff very pleasant, restaurant was good.
Renovations all over, should not be open for business at the time.

The location is very close to the ferry and local attractions in Bellagio.
The Room:
The room was nothing particular to speak of, it was clean and quaint but definitely very old. The furnishings must be at least 60 years old if not older. Additionally there were no outlets near the bed and paint was peeling in corners. It felt more like staying at your grandmothers house than at a hotel in world famous Bellagio.
The Incident:
Shortly before my two night stay I was informed that the restaurant would be closed for restoration and I had the opportunity to cancel. Thinking that I would simply eat elsewhere I went forward with the reservation. Upon arrival I was informed that there would be no staff on-site the following day as they all had the day off. I was shown a side door that I would have to enter through and was asked when I planned to leave the following day so that the cleaning attendant could come specifically to my room. Though this was odd, I informed them when I planned to be out and went to my room.
The next morning I woke up to extremely loud construction sounds and the lights flickering on and off and ultimately going out. As there was no staff to speak to about the problem we left early for the day to see the local sights. The following day I was showering and the electricity went out again forcing me to shower in the dark. As this was my checkout day I went downstairs to complain to the front desk staff. There were no front desk staff to be found, I instead gave my key to a member of the cleaning staff. I tried to explain the situation but while she agreed that the situation was terrible she did not have the ability to address the issue.
Following my stay I attempted to rectify the situation through booking.com. The property outright refused any compensation/refund as they felt informing me of the restaurant closure was sufficient. I tried to appeal that the fact alone that I needed to shower in the dark was unacceptable but they continued to refuse.

The room N. 5 is very old, the paint from the wall was cracking, the shower licked all night making a dripping noise, the toilet sit was broken and the Free WI-FI didn't work.
8.0 / 10.0
the very very simple hotel, however they get a good score only because of the great restaurant downstairs, really good traditional Italian food and very good service, so the restaurant is really recommended.
room and hotel in general looks really old and outdated, however maybe seams magical look.

Restaurant, Dinner was very nice. Breakfaste was also good. Location is great, next to the Ferry and the old town. The shower had good pressure. That makes a good thing.
The rooms are old, which is not a problem itself. But they are poorly painted, poorly maintained. It was winter and even they had double glazed windows, the windows did not close properly and some air came through them. We had to take one of the mattress against it to keep as much of the cold out. The mattress are stained, which is digusting. The rooms have no acoustic damping, you can hear your neighbors breath and.. you know. There was a shower door missing, so it was a bit difficult to keep the water in. As said, the breakfast food was ok, there was still time for it, but when we arrived there were cleaning the floor with a old stinky cloth, which made the experience very unpleasant. You wait until breakfast is done before “cleaning” up. For 250 EUR per night with breakfast is a bit of a stretch. You can sleep in Lugano or Niza alongside the beach for far less. We wont stay in Bellagio next time, that’s for sure. Its easier to get there on the Ferry, a day trip is enough time for it.
