Absolutely wonderful!

Madi was a superstar; any hotel would be so lucky to have her and I’m so glad I got to experience her kindness, humor, intelligence, and care as a guest at this hotel. I cannot fault any of the staff. Location is gorgeous. Hotel is exceptionally clean. Breakfast and dinner are marvelous. I’ll be back!

Best view in Bellagio of Lake Como

Beautiful views of Lake Como in Bellagio especially from the restaurant with outdoor seating. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for a night’s stay. We also had a lovely dinner at the hotel.

The distance from the Bellagio town made it a little inconvenient to get to but the staff were very responsive and offered multiple trips to and from the town every day. The views and the quiet, peaceful surroundings made it worth it.

Great location. New dining room was nice. Madi was exceptional!

Understaffed. No one at front desk at check in. Madi was doing double duty with van shuttle. Same with dinner on our first night. Only one waiter for entire dining room. Cockroach infestation in room next door. No rolls of toilet paper. Just flimsy thin sheets. Door knob pinched.

Relaxing in luxury, Como-style!

Awesome view! Rooms were off the chart (21 & especially 22). Staff was fantastic. They even made us breakfast boxes because we had to leave early.

We can’t wait to return, it was our favorite spot.

This location is magical. The views are spectacular. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was amazing. We enjoyed our cooking class very much, the chef was top notch. Our room in the newly renovated suite was so relaxing with a view to take your breath away. They have a great shuttle into town so you are up high but not far away. We didn’t want to leave.

Lovely weekend with an amazing view

The view the walk down to the center of Bellagio was very nice it was nice to get away from the busy center.

The hotel was really nice we had though a bit of an issue getting back after our sailing tour on the lake that ended around 21.00 and we asked if the hotel had the restaurant open but most places close at 21.00 around lake Como which I found quite early for Italy :) as we had to find a place to eat we managed to miss the last shuttle to get to the hotel. It would have been good if there where more shuttles in the late evening.

Fantastic location with amazing views. Breakfast very good. Having the facility of shuttle to Beliagio was great. Reception staff very helpful.

Could have had better air conditioning in bedroom as very hot. Dinner was lovely but waiters were not very attentive unless you were Italian or you had done the pizza course. Kept having to ask to order wine & dessert & then didn’t always get what we’d ordered. Think we were unlucky

The only place to stay in Bellagio.

We visited earlier this year in Feb and just had to return in June. The panorama view of the lake is breathtaking as always. This time we stayed in the new rooms with the terrace and it was lovely, definitely an experience that made the stay even better. The staff are always extremely welcoming and helpful, and the free shuttle bus service made travelling to and from Bellagio so convenient. I highly recommend this hotel such a lovely place to truly relax and get away from the city life.

Beatiful location & hotel

Extremely beautiful views of the lake, makes just sitting in your room or out on the terrace pleasant. Had the privilege of staying in one of the new suites - which was gorgeous, very luxurious feel to the hotel. Breakfast was good. Feel like the owner has really listened to reviews regarding improving shuttle services for customers, it's true that it's a very isolated hotel without the shuttles (unless you love biking or a good walk), it's great that they've offered loads more drop-off and pick-up times throughout the day. Majority of staff were absolutely lovely.

We had one staff member we found especially rude during our stay (German/Manchester female receptionist). Just really passive aggressive immediately from our 1st interaction onwards. Small incident whereby a different male staff member kindly wrote down the shuttle pick-up time for us, during the car ride down this female receptionist mentioned seeing us at "20 to 8". Our mistake for not double checking the time-sheets ourselves originally at the hotel or taking a pic but we just followed the time she mentioned. Comes to 8:40pm and no one arrives, we send the hotel a message and she's unnecessarily defensive about "no time being discussed" in the car (not sure why I'd "imagine" a conversation and make that up but...sure). These things happen, miscommunication on both parts - whatever, we didn't push it and just asked if we could please be picked up on the next time-slot and she tells us she won't come until 21:40 (despite the next time on the pick-up time-sheet being 21:10). Wouldn't mind as much except it was storming and thundering in the area at the time, so we were left stuck in the thunder/rain for an hour. When she finally arrived she was cold and muttering to her colleague in the front seat. Another couple jumped in the car with us and she was incredibly friendly and nice to them, holding a conversation and asking questions - a stark contrast to how she's communicated with us before & after this happened. I have whatapps as proof I was nothing but polite about the miscommunication, we're chill people who are always polite with our requests so I'm not sure what we did to cause this reaction - people have bad days but it's just not nice being treated rudely when you're paying decent money to stay somewhere and just want to relax and have fun. Kind of damped the experience for us sadly.

Exceptional views over Bellagio and Lake Como

The view from the terrace, restaurant and some of the rooms was incredible. The free shuttle to and from the town centre was much appreciated as it is a long, steep walk. The included breakfast was substantial and tasty with a variety of offerings. Dinner was excellent and the welcome glass of Prosecco a nice touch. Every member of staff was friendly and very helpful. Special thanks to Joy.

A stunning place to stay, but our experience was lacking.

We didn’t realize we had booked a suite and they just finished renovating them. They were amazing!! Truly the most picturesque view, and the welcome drink was very nice. The complimentary shuttle is needed considering how far the hotel is from downtown bellagio.

The food is just ok for the price point. We were also frustrated with how thin the walls are, as we heard screaming crying children like they were outside our door but really were in the family suite. It’s also frustrating that the shuttle service doesn’t line up with available ferry times. We had issues getting to bellagio as ferries from Como were sold out for the day and ended up taking a €130 taxi ride. We took the shuttle into the city that night to pre-buy our ferry tickets home but found out we had to buy them day of. We needed to catch a 10:30 train, which meant we had two ferry options: 7:12 and 8:14. The shuttle, which is a 10 minute drive to town, starts when the lobby opens at 8am. We were uncomfortable with how tight the timing would be, and asked at 6pm the day prior if they could maybe take us down a little earlier, and they forgot to ask the staff until we followed up at 9pm. We were then told that we “should have asked earlier today”. We were directed to a list of taxi drivers, who all told us no or told us to ask the hotel to help us, but the hotel told us they couldn’t do anything and to try taking the ferry to Varenna (not where our train was leaving from). Eventually, we decided our best choice was to walk 2 miles down narrow, windy, hilly roads to make our ferry. Additionally, we were given a code to access the lobby upon check in, but it didn’t work so I couldn’t return the room key to the lobby when we left before it opened at 6:30 am. There was also signage that if we told them we needed an early check out, they could make us a breakfast box if informed before 6pm. We did that, and there was no breakfast.

Beautiful views, gorgeous property with new rooms, helpful staff. A romantic setting

The property is immaculate with an all new renovation. The views are spectacular and the service perfection. The staff added the extra perk of a car service to the town so you have privacy and quiet but the advantage of being near all the sites. also te hotel has an excellent restaurant and breakfast is included.

Fabulous place, bad timing

The hotel was in a beautiful location and easily accessible. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel was warm and clean. Our view from the room was stunning. We had to check out one night earlier than planned and the hotel kindly arranged a refund without any problem.

Unfortunately there was building work going on to the main terrace so the view from the restaurant was obscured by orange safety fencing all the way across. There were builders working on the terrace, which was inaccessible. This was a shame as the panoramic view is the main selling point of the hotel. The shower didn't work efficiently, it ran hot and cold which wasn't very pleasant.

Excellent boutique style stay

The hotel was lovely and clean, so glad we booked a sea view as the view is unreal. We ate dinner in the restaurant both nights, the chef is excellent and good value too. The breakfast had lots of choice and great quality. The staff were really helpful, used the shuttle instead of our hire car which was much easier. It was a shame there was building works going on which spoilt the views from the restaurant and the patio was closed too which there was no warning of on the booking. The fridge was really small and couldn't fit any drinks in it however there is plenty of room for a full size one so they should consider updating these. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

What an incredible location! We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Il Perlo & will definitely return one day - would love to stay in the new building when it is completed. Friendly staff, great breakfast with a spectacular view! Courtesy shuttle takes you into Bellagio. Highly recommend.

Restaurant food and choices needs improvement. Pizza was marginal, beef was over cooked and lasagna was worse I tasted in Italy. Wi-fi signal was weak.

Superb view makes the property worth a stay

The property has a magnificent view of Bellagio and the surrounding area. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Our room was very comfortable, and breakfast was very nice.

The property is approximately 3 km from the Bellagio waterfront and ferry terminal, and there is no public transport close to the hotel. However, they do provide a very reliable shuttle service during the day (5 euros per person per trip). We walked down to the waterfront and used the shuttle for the uphill return.

Very good

We had a room which had a mountain view and it was super nice to have a big terrace to enjoy the sound of the water falling down. It was a great experience to have breakfast in the morning with a gorgeous view from the top of the Bellagio. The location of the hotel is unbeatable.

The room was a bit small and the furniture was so basic.
