We felt like travelling back in time, the magic of the Christmas decoration added to the charm of the experience. We would have loved to spend a second night. We want to come back to take the house tour or stay in the other rooms just to admire the wondeful job of recreating the atmosphere of the past.

The place is amazing, all the furniture and interior details are really next level. The owner was super friendly and helpful, he even waited for us when we were late to check-in. We would highly recommend staying here when in Tirano.

We loved the history of the beautiful old chateau which was constructed and finished in 1498! It’s in a great location, yummy breakfast, owner occupied ( been in their family for centuries). The property has been updated nicely, but has still kept its character. Beautiful garden and lovely accommodations.

I didn't expect such an amazing place, because the photos didn't show very well how nice it's in there.
The owners were really friendly - not only they waited for us when we were a bit late for the checkout but also helped us carry the baggage. This is extraordinary ❤️
Also, the owner woke up earlier to prepare a breakfast at 6:45 for us because we were leaving for an early Bernina Express 🙇
It was a bit of a trouble with parking as the place is in the historical site of Tirano and there are only private parking spots next to the house. There's a free parking at the tennis club ~300m from the place though :)

I booked the wrong date and paid upfront but the owner kindly changed the date with no charge.
Lovely breakfast in a beautiful kitchen. The owner carried our luggage to our room on top floor. We couldn’t have managed: thank you!The B &B kindly kept our luggage after checkout so we could enjoy a few hours in the town before onward journey.
We would have liked a lock on the bedroom door, but the hotel was totally secure.

This is a great place to stay, full of period charm which is not contrived but comes from having been owned by the same family for a long time. We really enjoyed our conversations with Niccolo as well, and loved the wooden walls and antique bathrooms and beds. Also local specialities for breakfast
The town of Tirano is on a well know tourist route at the end of the Bernina line, yet it doesn't feel in any way like a tourist trap. The local restaurants are the real deal...I suspect most people only pass through, but it's worth a longer look.

Like stepping back in time or staying in a museum! Beautiful house/castle in a beautiful town. Really like this approach to preserving history - by continuing to live in it as people have been doing since they were first built! Can see it throughout the town in the new architecture complimenting and preserving the old. Wonderful room, the family were lovely, the facilities were great and the location was fantastic. Don’t second guess just book here you won’t regret.

The room was spectacular. A real step back in time. Beautiful renovation while keeping it's unique character. The hosts were friendly and put on an excellent breakfast. We chatted with the owner while having breakfast with another couple and spoke of the local history of tirano. I cannot recommend them enough.
You will not be disappointed
Pillows were a bit flat for my taste. But the bed itself was comfortable

Everything was perfect. The Palazzo was amazing place to stay. It felt like traveling in time back hundred years. Fantastic destination for a fans of castles and historical vibes combined with contemporary comfort.
I would recommend it absolutely.

What was not to like? It is absolutely beautiful. Full of old, authentic Italian charm. We stayed at Christmas time, and it was lovely and warm, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. My photos are blurred because I took a video rather than pictures, so that I could show the rest of my family. Honestly the photos don’t do it justice at all. Everyone’s reaction was the same, just WOW!!
Perhaps a little bit closer to the station because we had alot of luggage as we were passing through, but that would be nit picking.

Charming as promised. We arrived on the Bernina Panoramic express and while most people head onwards to Milan, we planned to explore Tirano and return to Chur the following day. A beautiful property and very much a working family home surrounded with the most incredible historical features. We were very comfortable, Hosts were accommodating with our check in time as there was a different time on the booking than they expected. Breakfast in the family kitchen was so generous and delicious. A memorable stay in such a pretty town.

Very interesting place! Everything feels so historical but still clean and fresh. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly. They helped us book a taxi for a winery visit and recommended a restaurant we definitely wouldn't have found. Absolutely worth to stay even just one night while passing through Tirano!

Fantastic place! Like going back several hundred years.
Very nice breakfast. Much of it was grown locally, by their own family.
Nothing in particular.

The building is incredible and almost feels like a museum! The host greeted us when we arrived and we were also greeted by the friendly dog. The room was amazing and overlooked the gorgeous clock tower that is idyllic.
We were asked when we wanted breakfast and a lovely spread with bread, cheese, jams and cakes were ready for when we came downstairs.
The location is easy walking distance from the station. So a must stay if travelling on the Bernina express.

If you appreciate art and architecture of the period, then this is THE place for you. Prepare to be completely blown away by the original paintings, fixtures, furniture, intricate woodwork, and craftsmanship of the 16th century era. This is not a 'B&B'... it is a MUSEUM. The hosts are descendants of the owners who have lived here for centuries. If you wonder why there are clear glass showers, picture yourself for a moment being surrounded by all the history as warm water pours down your back. Try to resist the urge to go around and explore (it's fruitless so just give in). By the way, the facilities are terrific - comfy beds, great shower, generous rooms. Our hosts were wonderful and kind, and created a delicious breakfast for our family of five.
We only stayed one night and didn't get to check out all the rooms. Our fault.

our room was beautiful and we truly enjoyed it. it was comfortable and functional. breakfast was wonderful.
our door to the room did not have lock of any kind. so in theory really anyone could come in day or night whether we were there or not. our bathroom was separate and it was down the hall and others in theory could come into the bathroom for use, although they did inform us that it was only for use for us. there was a window in the bathroom that opened into the hall-one would to obviously open it-but the curtain was very thin and could be seen through invading privacy. the frustrating part was that there was no hot water that night to shower with. when i called they had me try a few things and said that they were working on it but then i never heard back after that. we went to be without showering after a long day of train rides. we spoke to another couple that stated they only had lukewarm water to shower with.
