Good location once you find it!

The location was great, but finding it in the dark was tricky. The breakfast was substantial and met everyone's different tastes,

It was quite a challenge to haul the luggage up to the top floor by going up triangular steps. Once up to the top of the hotel, the room was delightful.

Excellent location in the old town. It is a downhill walk to the city center.

The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was delightful and full of options. And the staff could not have been more helpful. Look for the mural on the wall and you pass by it and go around the corner to find the gate with a 6 on it.

It was dark when we arrived and had not 2 of the ladies we were traveling with arrived the day before, and met us in the main passageway I am not sure we would have found it! The steps to the top floor were a bit tricky to navigate but once in the room it was very nice.

Superbly located.

Varied breakfast.

No toaster and mediocre coffee. And most unfortunate for us was that the staff preparing breakfast somehow slept in. This delayed our breakfast by an hour and cut some of our time in town short. The owners and staff were very apologetic and accommodating by offering a later check out. But there was no making up for lost time in town since we only stayed one night.

Steep steps

The location was good and staff friendly. Room 2 was good

We had 2 rooms, Room 1 had a window that if opened, blocked the stairs, so was like being in a cave. Upon complaint was changed the following day. Room 2 was very nice. The stairs were steep. Property was not easy to find

Ok for short stop, but a bit disappointed

Great location in the old town with lovely view. Flat was tidy and the bathroom and shower were nice. lt was quiet.

No one present when trying to check in. Had to try a few times to reach host on phone. Did not receive any messages for how to check in. Early check out was advised but no breakfast option provided which would have been nice as we mentioned when we booked. Aircon position in room meant that our children got too cold while we at the other end of the apartment got far too hot despite the additional fan. Safe was already locked so couldn't be used and wasn't secured to anything anyway so felt a bit pointless. Front door lock was very stiff and stairs were tough with 2 heavy suitcases.

Good but can be better

Location is very close to the center of Split however not accessable by car. Room 4 top room was nice with balcony.

Upon arrival there was no one to give us the key or process checkin. We tried calling numbers provided on booking.com, and also numbers attached near the B&B however no one answered. We ended up checking which rooms were already in use and then went to the remaining one available which thankfully had the keybox unlocked. The room had AC however the outdoor unit was vibrating and sounding like a ship engine the whole night, and while in the shower woth the doors closed it sounds horrible. In the morning breakfast is limited and if you go after the other rooms, once something finishes they did not provide more. The hanging toilet was making some weird cracking sounds. Room 4 has 2 floors of steps.

Comfortable & quiet

The location of the B&B is excellent, close to the center still at a quiet spot with view on the harbour. A nice comfortable terrace is available, shared among the rooms. Very clean and modern facilities.

Communication was a bit impersonal. Last time (4 years ago) when we stayed there, meeting with the owners every day added a lot of value to our stay. This time we only met the cleaning staff, most of whom didn't speak English. For a short stay, this is an excellent option. If you stay longer and if you would like some personal touch, this accommodation may not be for you. Note that they only keep luggage until 2pm on the day of leaving.

Lovely 2 days in Split

Great location and good value for money. Loved the balcony that we had in our room and the fact that there was a bedroom (I was expecting a family room for 4). Breakfast was plentiful with more provided if necessary! I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Split.

I didn’t not like this, but anyone booking the room we were in need to be aware of the steps going up to the room. They are spiral and quite narrow. These didn’t bother us as we were able to navigate them with cases no problem.

Charming Stay in the Heart of Split

I recently stayed at this quaint little spot in Split, Croatia, and couldn’t have been happier with my experience. The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk from the Old Town, which made exploring the historic sites, shops, and restaurants incredibly easy. The hotel itself is small but full of charm. It had everything I needed for a short stay: good facilities, a comfortable bed, and all the essentials. The room was super clean and well-maintained, with a cozy feel that made it easy to relax after a day of sightseeing. One of the highlights was the breakfast—fresh, delicious, and with plenty of variety to start the day off right. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-located place to stay in Split, I highly recommend this spot. It’s a hidden gem that really ticks all the boxes.

A very comfortable unit with good beds and a great shower, close to old town.

Staff were very nice and quite helpful. Short walk to old town Split, plenty of restaurants nearby. Unit was very clean with good beds and a great bathroom and shower. We were on the top floor and had a pleasant view through houses to the port. It is a good location but you have to walk to it and carry your bags about 100meters or so. Breakfast was OK.

Unit was on third floor up WINDING stairs. Need to carry bags up the stairs. Difficult for older people or anyone not strong. For this unit there is only a very tiny balcony. (The units below have a much larger one with outdoor tables and chairs). Some fruit at breakfast was bruised or old. Some small plates and teaspoons would have been appreciated.

Spectacular room! Quite, but still in old town. The room was just beautiful and the little balcony over looking the harbour just made it that extra special. Room had windows over looking the mountains and from a short distance also the harbour. The room was so clean and big! The breakfast was more than enough and freshly done every morning! We loved staying here!!

Nothing- we are super pleased. If problems walking in stairs you should book a room lower down. Also please note a no driver zone why taxi drop you 100-200m away.

Adequate.

The location was central although considerable walking is required to reach the location through the narrow streets.

There is no one at the location to greet you upon arrival and check you in. An e-mail is sent the day of arrival with our room number and a code for a lock box which has your key to the room. We did not have access to e-mail the morning of our arrival and had to phone the manager to get the information. This information could have been sent a day ahead of time. Also, this facility is of no use to someone with mobility issues. (not a problem for us).

Superb

The apartment was absolutely clean and equipped with everything you need for a short stay. Filip was ready to help from the first moment on. We arrived very late at night, so he organized a very friendly taxi driver for us and explained us very detailed how to get into the apartment. The taxi driver also got in contact with us during the day, long before the flight so we had his number. Both gave us a lot of useful information about Split and the nearby area. Excellent service.

Excellent stay at the Golden B&B

Stayed in Room 2 for two nights. The twin bedded room was great, with decent beds, a fridge and an excellent shower. Enjoyed the large terrace outside which we used fairly extensively in the spring sunshine. The breakfast was simple but very good, while the owner Filip was friendly & accommodating. Ideal location too just a 5 minute stroll to the Riva.
