The property is in a great spot. A very short walk gets you to the promenade and the old town/ Diocletian’s place. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and supermarkets (even a beer shop) very close by. The apartment was clean and spacious and the balcony was a bonus. The owner was available when needed and very friendly and helpful.

A brush to sweep the floor, a tea towel to dry the dishes and maybe some tea/coffee/milk would have been nice, but we are British and it probably wouldn’t be an issue for other nationalities.

Pleasant beds comfortable rooms

Right in the heart of the old city a stone’s throw from the waterfront and in the heart of the beautiful old town in close proximity to bars and restaurants

The total cost for the property is required in cash rather than by credit or debit card. There was no issue with this as a receipt is provided although we were unaware prior to our departure which caused a few issues obtaining the necessary funds

Loved it!

The owner..."do you want to pay now, tomorrow or whenever?" Also, I had a gap between my cruise and check put. He said, "leave everything in your room (2 flights up/down, and I'll bring them down later." He also carried my cases up when I checked in. It was one short block to everything!

Very comfortable bed. Nice furnishings in the room. The location is also convenient.

If you like the smell of stale cigarette smoke then you might like this accommodation. The smell was dreadful. It seems the host did not want to spend €1 or €2 euros on an air freshener.

Great spot

What a beautiful little villa in the old part of Split. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The room was very compact but fine for a solo traveller and nice little touches like kettle, tea bags and coffee. The owner was very helpful. He arranged a driver for me from the airport, which was great. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

A great place for a vacation it had everything you needed and was priced well.

The property was just what we needed, a clean space close to town. Gregory was invaluable and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. He carried our bags, which were heavy. Then he walked us into town so we would miss our tour.

The room was bright. I didn't know that I could shut the shutters. User error!

Highly recommend the place

Gregory was an excellent host, accommodating various requests we have had, including leaving our luggage before the check-in and after the check out. The room was very clean, quiet, we were able to close the shutters to stop the light and the air con was life saving given the heat wave.

Nothing that was important on my wish list regarding the property. Those who will go for sunbathing mainly might prefer a different location as the distance to the nearest beach (Bacvice), especially when you have to walk in high temperatures might be discouraging (25' walking distance).

Exactly where you'd want to be!

Villa Varos is family run and the owners are terrific! Our family traveled on separate flights to Split. One of our flights was canceled and arrived a day later. The owners handled this unfortunate situation to perfection. Once we all arrived, we were quickly greeted and were able to easily get ourselves settled in. The rooms were clean and comfortable. And the area is extremely quiet, yet perfectly nestled on the edge of Old Town Split, putting you exactly where you'd hope to be!

The rooms lacked a fridge or an ice machine. This is only a minor inconvenience and nowhere close to being anything to really complain about. Especially since we're more interested in taking in all the sights that are all close by.

It’s very well located near every restaurant and the pier for the boat rides and the host is very attentive! We were very well accommodated and he showed himself very helpful.

The only little thing I missed was a small fridge in the bedroom. Other than that, everything was great!

It’s close proximity in Old town split and close to good restaurants. Gregory was very communicable throughout the booking process and was able to organise a driver to pick up from the airport who was on time and very hospitable. Upon arrival he took us through the property and explained everything thoroughly. The room though basic had a very comfortable bed and a clean spacious bathroom.

A lovely apartment in a great area, near to the best of Split

A lovely apartment in the best area of Split. The apartment is extremely secure and is only metres from some lovely bars and restaurants. Right next to Old Town and the marina, a perfect base for exploring Split. A large double bed and bathroom with shower. All you need at a very reasonable price.

Lovely balcony appartement

Me and my parents stayed two nights in the appartement with balcony. We appreciate the sunny balcony (teracce) - perfect for breakfast or sunbathing (I think there is a new sofa and patio umbrella). The apartment was clean and in a fantastic location in heart of old town Split, yet peaceful and calm. Lovely atmosphere and helpful staff. + we can left the backpacks in the reception before check-in + great communication with Villa Varos + the kitchenware was stylish and modern, but I missed having smaller bowls and a dish towel + it was great to have a real duvet instead of just a thin bedspread – much more comfy + small supermarket 1 min walk (open till 10 pm) + bus station (bus to Trogir or Airport n. 37) - approximately 20 min walk - if you want to travel with bus a lot, I recommend to downtown the app Promet - super easy + beach Kasjuni 8 min Bolt ride Thanks!

The room is incredibly comfortable, and the shower and bathroom work perfectly. The location is amazing, it's just in the centre of Split with a near access to multiple beaches, surrounded by cute restaurants and stores as well. The staff is so kind and helpful. We had a tiny problem in the room, and they quickly helped us solve it.

Perfect accommodation

Absolutely fantastic. I can not recommend this place enough. Spotless clean. Kettle, hair dryer provided, modern, comfortable bed, beautiful furniture, towels provided. There is a heating/ air conditioning unit, which was great as it was cold at night and I could just turn on the heat. Outlets by the bed. The location is perfect. Minutes walk away from everywhere yet tucked into a side street so it is quiet. There are some fabulous restaurants right around the corner from it so you can eat a nice meal, well priced and walk two minutes to go back to the room. The bus station is a lovely 15 minute walk by the water. The people hosting were very sweet, he allowed me to leave my luggage in the reception area until the room was ready. If in Split, it is a must stay! Thanks for a lovely stay :)

Was a good check in - collecting is from the bus when we arrived. Our luggage was lost at Zagreb and Gregory assisted us in phoning them and getting it delivered to the property. Thank you!

Ana was lovely, checking us in seamlessly and also offering an upgrade to a beautiful room. Location is great, walking distance to diocletian's palace, the riva waterside and old town attractions. Public parking can be found around as well (if you're lucky!)

Perfect location! We travelled with family and thoroughly enjoyed.

Location of this property could not have been better. There are plenty of restaurants and places of interest, including bustling waterfront (Riva), as soon as you come out of Villa Varos. Host was very helpful and cordial. Gave us lot of guidance about local places and restaurants.

If you are driving, parking could be an issue. Villa Varos does not have its own parking. We had to pay a lot for seaside parking for many hours before we got a spot on the road (for parking within the blue lines) close to Villa Varos. This parking was free, as we happened to be there over the weekend. On weekdays you have to pay.
