LOVELY LOCATION AND ROOM - WILL BE STAYING AGAIN!

Loved the room - nicely decorated in the subtle green colour. Fab location, just 10 mins from Abbeydale where my mum lives yet like another world - I love locations like this. We had a celebratory brunch on Saturday with some friends, generally very good although there's a couple of things to add below. The receptionist was fabulous as were the bar staff (although again see one comment below).

The room was really hot when we got there and even though it cooled down eventually, it did take a while. One of the bar staff was new and couldn't really make a porn star martini properly however the other barman (who'd done the first two) walked past and said "that looks different" - should have changed it really. The waiter for brunch was very slow initially and didn't know the menu - we had to repeat some things a few times but he did get better. Oh and the napkins are rubbish - we all got fluff all over us (the receptionist actually came to talk to us about it but I don't know her name sorry).

Fantastic Hotel

No complaints. Staff attentive. Lovely setting. Evening meal was 1st class. Breakfast was the best. I was suprised at the quality of this Hotel. Absolute bargin. Fantastic view from our room. Nice bar.

We were totally unhappy with classic double room It was a loft conversion with a big beam on one side We kept on banging both our heads as it was a few yards from the bed across the room We wished this was mention on booking com My husband who is 60 had to lie down after banging the head . This should be stated on the photos and description Guests should be informed about the beam. All other services including staff were very pleasant

💎 A fantastic hidden gem 💎

I really liked where it was located as it was very peaceful and quiet. The staff are very friendly and very helpful and always ask if you need anything else to make my stay comfortable. There is a freephone at reception to help you get a local taxi service to get into town in case you rely on public transport. Breakfast is amazing as there is a separate hot food menu and you can always help yourself to the continental bar for cereal, jams for your toast, fresh fruit to add to your Greek yoghurt bowl and small yoghurt pots too.

Honestly, just the only thing I did not like is that since I had very large suitcases that I had to go up and down the steps to the east wing area where all the rooms are. Apart from that, if you have smaller cases that are light then it's not a problem.

Nice hotel, great location

No one warned us about the steps/stairs. There is a large steep set of steps to get to the east wing then stairs only in the building no lift. When you are on the 3rd floor it's quite a lot. The window in the room did not close properly on the hinge side. As it was windy a draught came through.

The building could do with an update. Taps badly fitted and shower door not fitting. Needs a lick of paint too. No drinking water in the bedrooms. panes of glass cracked windows dirty on inside. No decaf coffee at breakfast - some items needed replenishing. The food was ok good standard. Not many staff in evidence.

If the accommodation was of the same standard as the restaurant then this would be a real gem!

The restaurant has a 10/10 as the food and service was excellent. The hotel room was really disappointing. The bed springs were not good and the overall room furnishings were disappointing.

The room was below the standard I would expect for the price paid. Really cheap.

Lovely Views

The views as we came into the hotel were amazing, friendly staff and nice building..

The double bed was actually 2 single beds pushed together. Mine was sunken and uncomfortable, as I'm a side sleeper. The shower was too hot, very noisy and unpredictable as it kept cutting out. No shower curtain and no shower mat.

Fabulous hotel - silly technological receipt system if checking out early

The staff on both the check-in desk and bar, were very friendly and helpful. Bonus points for being able to lend me a phone charger plug. Beautiful views of the valley below whilst taking drinks on the decking.

I had a very early check out c. 5am. Meaning I was unable to obtain a receipt for my stay at the point of leaving. The link I was later sent by mail expired before I could download the information. As a business customer, this was a major inconvenience for my accounts team. Why they cannot simply email the invoice, rather than a link - seems pointless and silly to have a time limit to download this information.

Lovely dog friendly hotel.

Lovely hotel at edge of the Cotswolds also close to the M5 so you can use it as a stop over as we did while travelling to Devon.

Very enjoyable, as always.

We stay here quite often with our dogs. The hotel staff always go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. They arranged a late lunch for a group of family members at very short notice which was much appreciated.

The taps in room 50 need replacing and the shower glass is not a flush fit so water went onto the floor.

We enjoyed our visit to the Cotswolds but some aspects of the hotel were disappointing.

The main areas were great and fabulous views. The one evening we had dinner it was extremely good and waitress, Lucy I believe, was just lovely. Loved the corner bath although my husband struggled to get in and out to use the shower.

The building that housed our room was very tired and desperately needing a refurb. Tatty carpets and horrendously noisy pipes! For a couple in their mid to late seventies, the steps and stairs were a challenge and we were 3 floors up with no lift. We also found the double bed rather small for our liking. Also although breakfast was fine I was disappointed with the teabag in a mug scenario. In a four star hotel I would expect better.

A pleasant and handy place to stay!

I liked the scenery and the external character and appearance of this old listed building with ivy climbing the walls. The shower was powerful which is a plus. The fairy lights around the outdoor seating area was so pretty. It has plenty of parking.

The decor although in keeping with the traditional style was not to my modern taste. The communal area felt very dated. The room was absolutely boiling hot as the radiator was on the whole time in 26 degree heat outside. I struggled to open the old metal rusting windows. The fan in the room didn’t work.

Overnight Stay @ Hatton Court

The staff were lovely, and the 24 hour reception was a relief as our journey was very delayed. The bed was comfortable. The hotel's location was 15 minutes away from the M5 so very handy, and the views from the hotel were beautiful.

Unfortunately, the room wasn't completely clean - particularly the bathroom, which had dead insects and hairs on the floor. The shower door was broken, and the drain was blocked. The bathroom fan was really noisy.
