Feels like staying in a low class residential home

Location

Bright green fire exit sign in the room kept us awake all night. No power socket near the bed. Uncomfortable bed. Loud drainage noises.

Very local for the location we wanted to go to.

No toilet brush in the toilet. The cleaner didn’t replace 1 of the cups that we had used. Breakfast on Sunday was a bit manic, ran out of hash browns twice and had to ask them to top them up and when they did they were only half cooked.

Generally acceptable.

The breakfast was generally acceptable except that the plates provided were at room temperature. This rather spoiled the "hot breakfast" as the food was cooled the moment it touched the plate. A supply of HOT plates is required.

Great place to stay

Excellent location as it is next to a bar resteraunt and the park and ride. The breakfast was excellent value. We had a problem with our shower the staff were excellent and sorted it very quickly. All staff were friendly and attentive to all guests as i was people watching and observing. I have stayed on more than one occasion and found it excellent value for money. The rooms are really clean and as the rest of the hotel

Accommodated us with 2 rooms next to each other. Before our visit, communication was very good.

It would appear we had a dog wee on the corner of the bed before we arrived (room 234). Breakfast was shocking - always cold regardless of whether you ate at 6.30am or 9am.

Rooms really need air con. Very hot on the night we stayed - family of four in a room made for a restless night. We were portable fans in our room but these were noisy and just moved the warm air around

Breakfast excellent staff very helpful cleanliness very good aked to move after 1st night as room too hot had to have window open but traffic and sirens going all night no sleep moved us to car park side much better staff very helpful to do this.We will be back again otherwise can't fault Hotel thankyou so much will be recommending to friends and family.

Breakfast, utterly rubbish, very fatty bacon, only Cumberland sausage which I dislike for breakfast. No mushrooms or poached eggs, cold scrambled eggs. The orange juice was disgusting, tasted like SunnyD!!

Basic but functional

The bed was comfy!

The room was too warm, it could benefit from air conditioning as the whole hotel overall with its lower ceilings in the corridors can make it feel stuffy and hot. There was a fan available but it wasn't enough. Also, with the windows open due to the warm weather, there is constant traffic noise from the dual carriageway and police sirens going all night. The room (333) wasn't as pleasant to stay in as the rooms on the quieter side of the hotel facing the car park.

Breakfast was quite good but I would have liked flavoured yoghurt and grapefruit segments. Location was good for RIAT and visiting friends in Gloucester.

I almost caught my hand when closing toilet door several times. I thought prices for evening meals was expensive and dining area was too much like a canteen. I did join the rewards club on a previous visit but although I had booked within time I think that I have lost my points even though I used the same email address.
