Don't stay here

This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. I spend two nights a week in hotels for work and this was just awful, dirty, grubby and unpleasant. I actually checked out a night early, even though I had paid for it for two nights, and friends let me stay at their hotel instead.

The shower, although filthy, was powerful. Bed linen and towels were clean.

Room was tatty and tired.paint coming off walls, whole room was dusty and grubby. Bathroom was disgusting with bits on the floor and someone else's hair around the plug hole. Shower adjuster was broken. Remote control for tv not working properly. Noise throughout the night, either plumbing or shouting outside.

Absolutely awful - a disgusting, dirty place.

Absolutely nothing very poor on all fronts

Hotel didn't have a sign which matched the booking. We were looking for a OYO hotel but it had Go2. It was called the Orchard Hotel which wasn't mentioned on booking.com. We spent 45 looking for it. The lift wasn't working. The rooms were AWLFUL. Dirty, no headboards, stains. the shower was disgusting. There was something vile wiped on the wall by the TV. The bed had black bits in (hope it was fluff). Even the rooms were badly numbered 40 next to 60. I was so embarrassed as I booked to stay with my parents and their room was so bad. There wasn't anywhere in their room to hang up your clothes. It was like a very bad student digs but we paid £70 per room. They did move us to a 'deluxe room' which was slightly better but still grim. I took all my belongings back to the car because I didn't want to put anything down. My car had a beer bottle stood up under the front tyre when I left in the morning. Booking.com should not be sending anyone here.

Needs renovating

The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. Showed me several rooms as the room we were allocated was dirty and felt like dog.

The property is very tired and run down, needs to have a complete overhaul. The bedroom and bathroom weren't clean.

A very disappointing hotel

The location was fine for where I needed to be the following morning.

On arrival, at around 11pm, the doors were locked and I had to phone the number on the door, and wait for around five minutes before I was granted access. From memory, at the time of booking there was no mention of a car parking charge, yet when I was filling out some paperwork at the reception desk, I was told it would be £8 to park the car. A bit of a rip off. Once in the room, which was very basic, I briefly put my hand on the "wardrobe" and it moved so much that it almost collapsed due to its flimsiness/poor construction.

A sleepless night in a dirty, smelly room, with unbearable noise and zero intervention from staff — the worst hotel expe

Initially, the price. But after this experience, I wouldn’t stay here again even if it were free.

The room was in terrible condition: dirty, dusty, with a foul smell coming from an old, poorly maintained carpet. The night was even worse — from 11 p.m. until 6 a.m., a loud and chaotic party took place inside the hotel, making it absolutely impossible to sleep. Toward the end, it even sounded like a violent incident was occurring. I should have called the police. The staff were fully aware of what was happening yet did absolutely nothing. It is shocking that Booking.com allows this kind of establishment to remain on its platform.

Miserable

The room was very tired looking, the tv wasnt smart and had no aerial plugged into it making it only decoration, the room was poorly cleaned, the only cup had lipstick still on it from a previous drinker. The lift was out of order, and the banister on the stairs wasnt safe at all, which as I was a disabled guest that had been put on the 3rd floor, this made it hard for me to leave the room until check out. The walls had a lot of marks on them, the furniture had a lot of damage.

A decent budget hotel for Gloucester

It's alright, it's a bot of a budget hotel and is therefore a bit basic. Parking was OK. It's not a Premier Inn and neither is a boutique hotel, it's very basic, ideal for an overnight stay if you're a tradesman

Horrible stay with homeless people knocking my door mid of night. Safety and health hazards

The only good thing was some staff: Anthony and the couple.

Is a very unsafe place. Had a homeless person knocking my bedroom door and trying to enter at 03h00 in the morning!! There was no receptionist and she managed to go to all the floors. Constant smell of smoke and drugs inside the corridors which is huge safety concern and health hazard. Also people walking in reception and shared areas half nacked, even after complained to the manager when happened the first time and he just do anything. Bedroom walls destroyed and one of bedroom with a punch mark in the wall. Shower curtains falling all the time use the shower. Also toilet full of rust. Smelly bedrooms as carpet floor needs professional cleaning. Had to see vomit in the floor at reception twice during my stay... Guests constantly arguing, shouting and banging the walls at the middle of the night. As prolonged stay asked please to wash my clothes. When left my trainers next to the washing machine they just bin them after few hours, when asked what happened they said was in the bin and instead of buying new ones or apologise, they just handed it to me straight from the bin. Unbelievable and horrible stay! Do not recommend to anyone. Constant safety and health hazards and manager just ignores it. The hotel really needs a good refurbishment and best management for safety of all guests.

Unsatisfactory

It was a roof over our head for the night

The room was just a box room with 2 beds. . We walked into the room when we arrived and it had a unclean smell. The walls around the beds had squashed bugs and stains splatted around not quite sure what they were there were many. The bathroom smelled like sewage. I think the room was only worth £50. We aid £70. Plus they charged us £8 to park our car in their car park

Constant smell of drugs and smoke in the corridors and from ventilation in toilet. Leak on first toilet bedroom so needeed to move. Kettles either with rust or not working properly. Bedroom floor quite smelly and full of stains. People contantly shouting and arguing around 04h00 and 07h00 am. Someone banging the walls around 04h00. Reception floor with huge vomit and smell twice in 2 weeks. Man walking in corridors with no shirt. Dirty socks on corridor twice. Asked for full refund to move to another hotel but refused. Also asked for partial refund for all the inconvenience but also refused.

Booked a deluxe room. It was tiny. No where to put anything. Window looked out into the carpark where people congregate & no nets so had to close the curtains. It was a boiling day so it was so hot I left a day early. Staff were very helpful but wouldn’t stay again.

The location.The room. No bedside tables

No bedside tables. TV was in the way when squeezing past the end of the bed. No net curtains and as we were on the ground floor people could see in. No food available. We had to go out and find somewhere.

It was cheap and I had low expectations but it was absolutely fine… clean and tidy. Receptionist was very friendly.

Landsend to John,o Groats

We had a great stay, and from the minute we walked through the door, we were greeted with a great welcome from the staff member on the desk. I think he was called Antony he made sure we had storage for our bicycle, gave us extra milk,and advised on places to eat and drink. There are 4 of us in the and he made are stay so enjoyable 😉 😄 😆 please will you pass this on to him from Debra Dave Amanda and Steve x

A very uncomfortable stay

We were located on the ground floor and when we walked into our room we noticed a smell but didn't think much of it but when we opened the eun suite there was a strong smell of cannabis and cigarettes We went out for something to eat and when we came back the smell was still there we went to complain but there was no one there but when we checked out we told the girl on reception and all she said was there was a number we should have rung to complain but we didn't know There was a shelf unit that was very unstable we didn't put our clothes on in because we were afraid it would collapse Although it is a basic Hotel if you can call it that it was not a very nice place to stay and will not stay again

1. The hotel reception and corridor stank very strongly of cannabis. Very unpleasant for guests and possibly a health and safety concern for your receptionists and cleaners who are exposed to it for the duration their shift. 2. Locating the hotel was frustratingly difficult because there is a huge sign on the side of the building saying ORCHARD HOTEL not GO2 or OYO!!
