It was strange, no one to meet you, only emails with codes, never done before and began to panic, when Code not working to get in. Had to tick link to activate which is all new to me

The shower filled up with first use because the plug was blocked and then it overflowed onto the bathroom floor meaning I had to walk through a puddle of cold water to use the toilet. The toilet also blocked with the first use and I was scared to flush it again incase that overflowed as well. After I left, they tried to charge me £250 for repair of the toilet/shower and a deep cleaning fee for the water on the bathroom floor and are still disputing this with false accusations. I also found a drunk man asleep on the floor in the outer unlocked porch when I returned to my room at 9.30pm and when we phoned the hotel to try and get his apparent room code (for a room that didn't exist) the hotel staff hung up immediately. Since I reported this to them (after they tried to charge me £250), they have lied and denied the phone call happened at all. There were hairs all over the room, a loud, intermittent whirring woke me up all night and I could hear the neighbours as if they were next to me. I would definitely avoid this hotel in future.

Absolutely disgusting the room had not been cleaned

I book this for my stepdaughter and she was distraught when she seen the room. This is what state the room was in. Bed not changed dirty towels on the floor and left over breakfast dishes

I only stayed one night but it was memorable as the food was good and your staff were so friendly and helpful.

Excellent room. Very clean. Good tea and coffee facilities. Nice view at rear of garden.

No shower gel or soap in dispensers. Shower/ Toilet sliding door was vey loose/iffy. No information in room about restraunt or breakfast. After looking around and dining out, checked online and saw hotel has these facilities. Pity we didn't look earlier.

The location is easily accessible from the East, where I needed to be during the day Peaceful location, despite being very close to a fair Small but sensibly appointed room on the 2nd floor

No A/C in the room, combined with a small window means no sleeping at night during the Summer No fridge in the room means no way to store any drinks The carpeted floor does NOT prevent the actual wooden floor from creaking noisily, disturbing other guests The stairs to the upper floors are narrow and steep, and quite hazardous to use with any luggage Parking is very difficult

No towels in room,new towels delivered quickly - no drama. Unfortunately the help yourself kitchen facilities included cereals, yoghurts and toast but no milk! One guest walked 10 minutes to buy some but unfortunately that will be the thing that we will all remember most.☹️

Nothing really except a bed.

As there is no contact with a human it should be cheaper, under £40 for single and under £50-55 for a double. The building was OK, the Parking was pathetic, the room was OK apart from the dirty black mouldy shower. There was no bulb in the bedside lamp in 202.

Clean and comfortable, was a really good eating space and the back garden is spacious and cool especially on a hot evening, the room was lovely and comfortable, the only thing that wasn't too good was the TV remote control, it has quirks lol, some buttons didn't work and sometimes the remote itself didn't work so volume was stuck but TV had no buttons, advise a new cheap universal remote, apart from this our stay was great, lovely bed and well presented as well as comfortable and welcoming, was nice and quiet, the location is quiet too with hardly any road noise heard from the guesthouse and nothing heard once inside, the kitchen is well equipped and fridge and freezer are provided too, and that is excellent, even a nice note asking people to only take what they put in, breakfast is self serve and if you want seconds it's there, decent choices and more than one type of fruit juice which is nice, coffee machine and air fryer are all available to be used, we have enjoyed our time here and if we come by this way again, I would definitely consider staying here again.

TV remote control, needs a cheap new one, that's it, my only criticism.

I liked the fact that the bed was comfortable with good quality pillows, breakfast facilities were good and the windows kept out the noise of the ongoing fairground nearby, the location was good, close enough to the station, supermarket and city centre and also close enough for exploring the river

although I had no problems with the automated system it became a bit of a problem having no staff there when a fuse was blown in another customers room and there was no one to reset the power when it took out the internet

There's nothing good to tell about this stay except for the quickest way out of that building.

The breakfast was awful. It said self service, but there was only one leaking yoghurt in the fridge, a milk cannister without a lit on it, no clean cups for coffee nor cutlery to eat this one yoghurt and the guest fridge was all stained and dirty. My room had an awful smell to it, was extremely hot and one of the windows had a mechanical problem and couldn't be opened. In the sink were long dark hairs, but I am bald. The hand shower was 'repaired' with duct tape to somewhat stay in its position and the shower drain was blocked, so I had to quickly shower to prevent the shower from flooding. And the reading light on the night stand had no bulb in it. The door seemed to be made of card board and when my 'neighbors' in the room next or opposite of me arrived after 01h00 AM and started to play music, I had a private late night disco.

At edge of dt but near quays area and some markets and a mall. Walkable from station. Looks terrible from front. Common areas ok.

Dont book unless you have uk sim card. Code entry. U learn this after booking. They are supposed to email it too. Never did. I luckily passed by in the am for recon. Had to ask others to call. They only picked up on the 4th try at 5pm. Seemed like a clearing house call center. No employees.No one answered buzzer or cctv cameras. Bfst was cereal in a feeder. One window didnt open. No remote. Signs in room and bath stayed lit. Room not like pics. Thin walls. Shower began to flood quickly. You may just want to spend a bit more at other options that dont phone it in. And booking keeps listing one price that switches after booking but the receipt has original charge.

The room was dirty, loads of cobwebs, spider in the bathroom, dirty bedsheets. Over all the room was dirty. I had to leave the hotel to go and book hotel at a different hotel same night. I regretted booking thos hotel worst hotel ever in my life. I am requesting for a refund.

very noisy room next door, could easily hear there talking all night as wall participation is probably plasterboard . when tried to call reception on the number provided on the wall there was no answer. will never stay in this place again

I liked the location as it was very central and of a close proximity to my place of work and the general self check pattern of the guest house.

The room was located in the basement and was poorly ventilated. The window was very small and also impossible to open as it leads to the parking lot and debris of were accumulated by the window. The bathroom/toil let smells very bad making it almost impossible to stay in the room.

The room wasn't clean full of human hair and dust and everything the shower was broken the facilities was poor the breakfast was animal no staff around certainly wasn't worth £99 a night it was more like a homeless hostel. Wouldn't recommend to anyone Would definitely like a refund.

It stated it was 0.6 miles from Birdlip, it was at least 6 miles from Birdlip and this was a very important part of my stay the milage from Birdlip, so this was very misleading

Not much, the back garden was a godsend because l smoke.

There always seemed to be several 'near do wells' outside the front door. I didn't want to leave anything in the car because it might not be there when I got back to it. Breakfast, someone really liked orange juice and toast because they consumed it all between 9pm and 8am, before anyone got down for breakfast.

Very good location a walk through a nice park to get to town .nice big bed good shower.

Breakfast..advertised as bed and free breakfast which should be amended breakfast was more or less non existent I give the birds in my garden more in the morning.

Clean room, comfortable beds, basic breakfast including.

Unfortunately the TV was not working but wasn’t a big issue for us as we only went there to sleep.
