The Linden Tree

Very good breakfast, friendly staff. Comfortable beds, care taken to keep the room cool in the very hot weather on the day of our stay. Very good value, and within walking distance of the Quays and the city centre.

The staff, without exception, were friendly, helpful and did their very best to ensure our stay was a happy one. Noteworthy was the breakfast, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the well cooked food and noted the excellence of the bacon and sausages, all sourced from a local butcher. (included was a large flat mushroom, vine on, small delicious tomatoes, baked beans, hash browns, soft fried egg and toast.) Fruit juice and hot drinks brought up the package. A good bus service departed from more or less outside the hotel, although it was about a 20 minute stroll for we old follk to the city centre. Gloucester refurbished "Docks" are even closer.

Our room, at the rear was peaceful, apart from a strange whirring throughout the evening. It sounded like an extractor fan in need of a little fettling. If driving watch for a fine if you venture over a flimsy bridge connecting two wharfs-it's on camera, another revenue raising trap, probably. Every city seems to have them!!!

The staff were lovely, the breakfast was excellent, the bed was very comfortable. The pub was very dog friendly.

The bedroom was over the beer garden & on Saturday night was very noisy until about 12.30am on Sunday morning.

Location was good food and staff excellent

No WiFi room needs up dating could do with better cleaning mould in shower
