How clean the rooms were, comfortable bed, quality of the coffee provided. Friendliness of the staff.

Everything was what I expected.

The owner/manager was really good, very helpful, really nice guy. The breakfast was both perfect and generous, worth every penny - thoroughly recommended. The hotel is a 200 year old late Georgian era big house in largely original condition, couldn't help myself from wishing the walls could talk to me ... I found it interesting to observe the house layout and imagine how it was used when it was built and throughout the Victorian era. Comfortable room, everything met my expectations.

Nothing disappointed me ... maybe a bit of history about the house would have been nice but that's really reaching.

Enjoyed my 5 nights stay. Warm welcome from Spencer. Hotel is a little worn in places but room is well equipped, bed is comfortable, shower is good. Ticked all my boxes. Nice touches like fresh milk and Lindt chocolates in the room fridge. Great location 2 minutes walk from the Quays.

Worn in places but price reflects this. Some mould in bathroom. Some minor diy needed here & there.

I liked the fact that hotels Proximity to the quays only 5 mins walk away

My room was on the front of hotel so a little noisy as bus stop next door to hotel , quietened down later on
