Lovely room, gorgeous old building, staff very friendly and helpful. We loved the historical documents framed around the rooms and building!
The outside stairs were a little treacherous as it was raining but there were handrails.

An amazing, medieval hotel and room let down by the noise... there is little to no consideration for guests...

Very comfortable room, I slept extremely well. I was overlooking the main road so I imagine it would be quite noisy on a weekend but was perfect on a weekday. Plenty space and very comfortable bed and bedding. Not particularly modern but wasn't expecting that in a building this old!

Staff was polite on meeting us. Absolutely the the quirkiness of the hotel. Room was clean. Food was lovely and hot. We will be hopefully coming back in the summer months.

Very disappointing. The room couldn't have been much pokier, with a view of the backs of buildings and a tiny wardrobe at 45 degrees to the room because that was the only way it would fit. The outward historic charm is not continued upstairs where a myriad of confusing staircases lead into a rabbits warren
of narrow, chaSupper was too salty to finish

Very damp rooms wallpaper falling off TV didn't work

The room was appalling, nothing like the images shown online - bed springs broken, paint peeling off the wall, just awful but the staff did their best and moved us to a more acceptable room.

Big room with a big bathroom, which was a lovely change from other accommodations I've been to in the past. The staff were very lovely and the WiFi connection was fast and stable throughout my stay.

Beautiful property! It’s authentic and charming and such a delightful escape from your standard hotel room.
2.0 / 10.0
For £90 the room was scruffy, the seat disgusting I had to cover with a towel to sit on and not worth more than £40 for the night. I'm not one of those clowns that takes pictures of minor imperfections but this room was very run down, wall paper was hanging off the walls, they had moved a bed with a headboard and left all the old paint. I wouldn't stop here again.

Great location in an historical building (the most charming structure I've been 15 days tour of UK). Unfortunately room condition was disappointing: one of the two matresses and the bath were broken, decoration dated and level of cleaning below average. It is a pity such a great place is not delivering in the rooms the potential that is there

Quiet accommodation and good base for exploring Northern Wales

Staff were lovely and the building itself is very interesting.
Beds weren’t very comfortable and the shower/bath wasn’t great (very slippery and unable to keep a consistent temperature).
Overall it was a nice place to stay, just could do with a little refresh.
4.0 / 10.0
Hair dryer not working, no plug in wash hand basin
Paid for extension to checkout time and was charged for room again. Bed springs shot on one bed, compensated for by a duvet over mattress.
Very steep stairs making ascent difficult.
Clean but on the whole very shabby.
Reccomend potential guests inspect room before making payment. Not a pleasant experience, will not be returning.

There is no air conditioning. Expedia lists that there is, but there is not. The mattresses were extraordinarily uncomfortable.

The appearance of a charming and characterful establishment quickly turned into a thoroughly underwhelming experience. Strict adherence to the 2pm check-in time was unnecessarily inflexible, especially when guests arrive early after long journeys. This lack of hospitality was the first of many concerns.
The bar area, which could have been a continuation of the hotel’s historic charm, felt out of place with its overly modern decor. Additionally, signs advertising “real ales” were misleading, as none were actually available. We paid £170 for a room, yet this did not include breakfast or parking. While the rooms were reasonably comfortable, they were extremely basic, and we've since noticed the same rooms now being advertised at nearly half the price we paid. The courtyard was a welcome respite from the busy High Street, but sadly this was the only real highlight. A friend’s room was shockingly below standard, with dirty walls, short curtains that didn’t cover the windows, cracks and holes in the ceiling, and an overall atmosphere that felt more like a hostel than a hotel. In another room, one side of the mattress was completely collapsed due to broken springs, making for a very uncomfortable night. Worse still, we found dirty tea cups and even a bloodstain on the bedding.Breakfast was acceptable, but one of the orders was incorrect. By the time the issue was resolved, the rest of our group had all finished.

Overall it was lovely but the bed was a double with two singles pushed together and our legs kept slipping in between.
Also i know it was a very old building but the floor was very uneven and we felt drunk even though we wasn't which was daunting.

When we arrived the service was slow but efficient. Becky who was on duty very professional. Our room was clean but needed updating .no water glasses or glasses to clean teeth .
No ironing board we were going to a wedding so our clothes was creased . After being in a case . Ther stairs were a death trap no rails on left side . No gluten-free options . The tables were very sticky Becky came to clean straight away . The building is ver old 1455 it needs a urgent refit if I new it was like this I would of stayed at the travel lodge

Booked this hotel as it was advertised as having air conditioning and I knew it was going to be a hot week.
No air conditioning insight.
Small fan in room that was broken.
Hot rooms.
Don’t stay here in the summer if you want to sleep.

Small room but clean. Because it is an old building, everything is a little off but that is ok. Perfect for 1 or 2 nights
