Everything was excellent except that the elevator wasn’t working, otherwise my rating would have been 10’s across the board. I was staying in one of the rear rooms on the 2nd floor which would seem to be a modernish extension. The room was exceedingly spacious, airy and well appointed, TV, fridge, kettle etc and the en-suite shower was bordering on a power shower. The highlight for me though was the bed linen. The bedsheets were so soft it was like silk. I swear I almost booked another night just to sleep in those sheets they were that good. Great access for the train station and there’s a friendly cafe diner right across the road that does a good and reasonably priced breakfast. The staff were very helpful suggesting the best directions to get to my destination, and recommending cabs.

Lift was out of order, and it would have been nice to have been told the lights only operated when you inserted your card key into a ‘socket’ on the wall. (It was dark when I checked in and I couldn’t read the information sheet I was given.)

Good value accommodation in central spot and staff very friendly and helpful. The central location.

Room was at front of hotel and was very noisy as bus stops just outside and nightclubs . The noise went on until the early hours of the morning!

Location

Very outdated. Bedding didn’t feel clean. Not a location for a quality night stay.

Location wasn’t too bad. Managed to find free overnight (6pm to 8am) parking close by.

Lift was broken. Shower didn’t drain properly and my gf complained of a rotten smell. I can’t comment on last point as my cold had destroyed my sense of smell.

The property was very clean and the staff were very friendly. We've stayed there quite a few times now. It is so convenient.

I wasn't expecting a lot as the price seemed too good to be true however the room was lovely and clean and had more amenities than more expensive stays we looked at. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and the hotel was close to the town centre and walking distance from transport links. The staff were friendly and helpful and allowed us to leave our bags behind the desk and pay for extra time to check out. The hotel was clean throughout and I would highly recommend this being a choice.
