Nice room in the courtyard, very modern, staff were great

the weather, but that wasn't the hotels fault

I visit family and I stay here quite often because of the price and location. A very happy stay.

Central for Main Street and 5 mins from Quay

I went in Dec on Christmas Eve ,room & bathroom were clean but it was so cold in bedroom despite radiator being on for hours that l had to wear my coat ! , ( radiator in rooms are Not fit for room size in winter), & a strange damp smell pervaded the room and made my clothes smell too , so l left after the first night, my son was angry that the room was so poorly heated etc, the 1st lady receptionist was very apologetic when l asked her about it all, but couldn’t offer any additional heating ,2nd male receptionist did ask why l was leaving early & when l told him he just said he was sorry about it .

Perfect location

The staff are always great here. Super helpful and friendly. The location is perfect for the city centre and quays. Handy that there is a bar right downstairs! Bathroom was a good size with nice shower.

The view out of the window was right onto scaffolding but this is only minor.

Lights in quad area didn't work.

I'm unsure, it seemed all very basic within the hotel... and for being "fully-booked" it looks very dead... The best part for us was the bar being open, even though we never sat in here only checked in.

Room was very small, we didnt expect it for £150... Between 3-5 AM there were Adults near by banging the bed board off the wall doing, well, adult things, and not one person was able to asssit us trying to sleep, my little boy was woken up by the sounds and I couldn't explain to him what was happening, shocking. The wallpaper in the room was falling off the walls and it just overall seemed very unclean, we've stayed here the last 4 times and had a much bigger room and better experience, however I think this weekend was our final time staying here.

I liked the location so I didn't mind the price I paid and the fact that you could opt to have a late check out for an extra £15. It was useful to have a microwave and a small fridge with all the cutlery you need. The room look new with a nice shower with two shower heads plus somewhere to sit whilst having a shower. The size of the double room was bigger than I expected also.

I didn't like that we had to switched rooms and were given a family room, in front of the building on the 2nd floor with single glazing windows. So the noise from passers-by as well as nearby bars and a very soft mattress didn't make for a wonderful night sleep/stay. I also didn't like that the check out is 10am. At most places I've stayed of similar accommodation is usually 11am. So I will stay here again but will always go for check out at 1pm for an extra £15.

Location was the best.

Bed very uncomfortable. Very noisy from outside and upstairs. Big ball of black hair found in shower, hence why I didn't get one. Best part of it was the location.

The hotel is modern / refurbished. The room was large and very well equipped with TV, microwave and fridge.

Obviously, the main issue here is the breakfast facilities being in another partner hotel a few hundred yards away. But I'd reckon the New County is more for self catering traveller.

Very clean room, comfortable bed, good bathroom. Quiet, excellent value for money. Check in/out easy. Central location. Would happily use again.

Location is brilliant, right on the high street. We were tucked away in the courtyard at the back of the hotel so very quiet

room court yard was quiet at night , no road noise.

tv reception was very poor with the picture breaking up , tv speaker sound was awful. Shower tray didn't drain and nearly overflowed.

The location is central and there is a Tesco express just 2 min walk away so it’s convenient and the room is pretty comfortable and the toilet has a rain shower which is very appreciated. The room is pretty spacious and having cutleries and plates with the microwave is a great addition

The hotel itself is just a little outdated but the facilities are still very usable.

Noisy at night, hotel room was nice but had leak in bathroom, was offered another room but it was smaller and smelt musty Asked for more milk etc didn’t receive any We new that the room hadn't been used for a while as the bin was covered in dust, so it must have been leaking a while but then as we used the toilet it was leaking more and more. The toilet system was constantly trying to refill itself. The drunk man was outside the window and door for hours up to 5.30am the night worker was outside initially trying to get rid of him we think but then he was smoking with him we felt if he'd have just came in the drunk man may have just gone. The balcony window on the left does not close properly at the bottom, so we never got any sleep dueto thedru k man chatting to the night worker right underneath the window

We were really happy with our room, it was spacious and clean, had a microwave and fridge as well as a kettle and space to move. The location was superb. We parked at Ladybellegate car park which was very cheap and very close.

The bed was slightly too hard for me but perfect for my husband. It was a little noisy until about midnight, but we expected that in a city centre on a Saturday.

Great location. Nice modern decor. Hairdryer was near a mirror. For longer stays it was good to have crockery, cutlery and a microwave.

Room was cold. Heater was working but inadequate. Depressing view from window...painting wall opposite would help. Suggestion....shelf in bathroom needed for toilet bag/toiletries.

Stayed in one of the coach houses around the outside courtyard. Service was excelllent, room was lovely (although opening the window was a little difficult and it was an extremely hot weekend). Location is fantastic, right on the main shopping street. Excellent value for money.

Parking not straightforward but eventually chose the NCP behind. Note- if you do the same download the app as the cost to park is reduced.

When i booked the room it said there would be WiFi. I was in a courtyard room and the WiFi did not reach which was disappointing. Staff could not help with this. There was hairs in the bathroom and a wet towel on the floor when I arrived. Bed was awful and the sheets were too small so the main bedsheets would just come off when you got in bed. The duvet was awful and the cover was broken and diddnt fasten. I think bedsheets that fit is a basic necessity and this ruined the stay for me as I felt unclean

Having a large piece of toast for a quilt, whilst laying on a mattrass made of concrete and iron coil springs stolen from the vintage car outside. The pillows seemed to be made from the crusts of toast used to make the quilt. No wifi, so 1985 television but sadly no Jim Bowen and bullseye, or Les Dawson and nlankety blank, which was an extremely disappointing start to a sleepless night.

Historic building, comfortable bed, good shower, clean, good location, friendly staff, had a bit of good banter with the reception lad.

The hotel is recently refurbished and the room was clean and comfortable. There was a fridge and microwave included.

Check in seemed a little slow. There were some minor issues with missing signage to the room C15 in the annex. Breakfast was located in another hotel by 'Rooms Booked' (The New Inn) down the street?? SO DIDN'T BOTHER.

Large young gentleman behind the bar at check in was very nice and helpful. Blonde young lady at reception was helpful and did offer us an alternative room after we had hauled all our luggage upstairs and along corridors to find the tv in the room not working. We declined as too much trouble to relocate with all the luggage again.

TV not working. Room heater not working. Shower was cold in the morning, and the girl on bar duty whom I informed about it did not seem at all concerned. For a £100+ room, not good enough. I think we should be offered a partial refund.
