Didn't stay for breakfast
Could have used a phone charger in the room. The cupboard door handle was hanging off

Great little find, country style bedroom, views of the lock & river. Fridge, glass bottle cold water, coffee machine. Clean & comfortable bed. Smart flat TV. Free parking. Quiet even with windows open. Friendly & helpful staff.

The room and en-suite were beautifully presented and overlooked the river. Although it's located outside of Gloucester, there is a bus stop just two minutes walk from the hotel. We didn't try walking as it was too muddy and wet. We found parking in the Gloucester car parks easy and reasonable.
We hadn't paid for breakfast but understood that it was available at £10 each. However, when we went down, we couldn't access the breakfast area and later found out that the restaurant wouldn't be open until 12pm. This wasn't made clear at the time of booking or when we arrived.
Although it's called The Mooring Post, there is no reference to it on the outside sign which says Lock Keepers.

Reasonable distant to gloucester
Room poorly laid out and slightly disjointed, some worn facilities,woken early hours of the morning by unruly guests,complementary bathroom gels to small, tea bags lose(unpacked)
