Kate is a very communicative and responsive host. She was very clear and always on time. I loved the room that I stayed. Sheets were super clean and smelling nice, the room had a nice view, it even had a small desk that I could work and write a bit. I woke up with bird chirping. Wi-fi worked smoothly. The bathroom is shared but when I was there I was the only guest so I never had an issue of unlocking - locking it. Complimentary coffee, tea, some biscuits and water in the room.
Not that I did not like it and maybe it is my fault that I did not read the description properly but you literally stay at Kate's place so it is not an independent two rooms accommodation place. Basically you share the home with owner but you do have privacy in your room. If you really need full privacy or introverted person take into consideration this fact. I also did not expect that I would have my breakfast at Kate's kitchen. Again, no issues from my side but it is the reality. I am not a granola / healthy breakfast person so I could not enjoy those but Kate's loaf of bread and butter and marmite on that bread was amazing.

Very central to Stroud - 10 minute walk all be it a bit longer to get back due to the hill. Owner of the property was lovely, breakfast was a choice of cereals, sourdough toast or bread and preserves, overnight oats with lots of options to top up including nuts berries and seeds with yogurt and as much tea and coffee as you could want. Our room was large and very comfortable.
Parking was a little challenging as it was on the street which was only wide enough for one car so we had to pull up onto the footpath, which I am uncomfortable with. We were OK with a shared bathroom however the other guests were inconsiderate in their use, the number of showers needed in 24 hours (2 each morning and evening) and the length of time it takes for a shower so we gave up waiting, had breakfast and left while they were still in there.
