Clean, warm, welcoming, with free parking and tasty breakfast.

Very much enjoyed my stay at The Clothiers Arm. My room was clean, warm and welcoming. Ate in The Clothiers Arm for dinner, enjoyable and reasonable priced menu for the area. Cooked English Breakfast was a treat and very filling, couldn't manage all of it, to my disappointment. Parking was no problem. Would happily come back here again.

Can't think of any thing...oh, except Stroud has some weird/scary roundabouts!! But that's nothing to do with The Clothiers Arm.

Friendly place repreasenting good value.

Very good value. Friendly staff. Good coffee and breakfast. Only a 5 or so minute walk into town. As it's an inn, could have a couple of beers at end of day without worrying about driving.

Lovely pub. Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, good food and drink. Good prices. Great location

Green emergency light in bedroom kept us awake most of the night. There should have been a cover over it. When mentioned in the morning staff said they had been made aware previously and the manager knew about it. They weren't available for a chat

Wonderful stay!

Great location near the centre of town, with wonderful staff and a cosy atmosphere. The room had everything needed for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was fantastic! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Stroud.

Cosy and delicious

Lovely staff, comfortable rooms and delicious breakfast.

Walls a little thin and could hear another persons conversation for 2 hours. I'm sure they could hear us as well, so we just tried to respect that. I sleep with earplugs, so not bothered through the night. Its an old building so these things to be expected.

Just what was required, slept well, food great. Got to work on time.

Ideally situated for an easy walk into town. The staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms were over a lively and welcoming pub but still reasonably quiet. Excellent breakfast with high quality sausage.

There was nothing that we didn't like. It was what I expected for the price. Everything was in good order.

Welcoming staff.

The staff were really helpful. We thought the hotel was actually in the middle of town but it didn't take too long to walk there. The breakfast was freshly cooked and quickly served. The bed was comfy.

The outside patio was completely bare and needed washing. There weren't many breakfast options.

We stayed in "Ebley" which had easy access to the car park, was in a good position.

Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast - cooked was excellent, nice bread. Room was fine for a 2 night stay and was quiet.

breakfast -cereals were rather limited. For beer drinkers not a great selection.

Great place to stay in Stroud

Breakfast was outstanding -- everything hot and fresh. Room was a lovely attic room. Staff all great, super friendly. Location was a short walk down into town. Pub very lively but we couldn't hear anything in our room. Great beer garden with a view which would be amazing in summer.

It was very expensive, but we did only book a week in advance.

We had a great stay at The Clothiers Arms, we had a lovely room and a top quality breakfast the next morning. A very big thank you to Debs who really looked after everyone. She was a lovely breakfast host and made us feel very welcome. Dexter the dog says a big thank you too! See you next time!

We found better then we expected. Room was very clean, warm and have everything you need. Bathroom big and warm .Staff friendly. Portions for breakfast big and very good served. We stayed one night to visiting Cotswolds. Breakfast was good organised.

Unfortunately our visit was cut short as my daughter was unwell. I would like to have stayed longer.

Breakfast excellent. I had the Full English and it was plentiful. Beds very comfortable and the room had everything we needed. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

The room was very hot when we arrived. Couldn't adjust the radiator but staff turned down thermostat. We opened the windows but it was very noisy from traffic. However this was sorted by staff. We hadn't realised the pub was on the main road.

A genuine local pub experience with really excellent food

Excellent breakfast, excellent restaurant, lovely staff. A cheerful pub full off happy friendly locals.

Our room was just above the happy friendly locals and on a Saturday night, it was quite noisy till 11:30pm. After that it was fine.

The host who met me was friendly, welcoming and efficient. The room was, warm, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The chef cooked an excellent breakfast with large portions which was included in the price. The hotel / pub has ample free parking Would definitely stay again.

Appreciated the trusting ness of the place but all a bit desperate and couldn't get anything to work

The TV didn't work couldn't get the light to work and couldn't lock the pub door when I went out so couldn't leave and leave the pub open. Appreciated, however, the trusting old fashioned nature of the place letting us leave via the bar when no one else about. Very fun. So took a bottle of orange juice out of the bar because I couldn't leave and go down the town and get myself some to help with my hangover. Left the money on the counter for it!!! It was a busy night in the pub and felt there was not much care for the guests telling them how to leave if they had to leave early and no one answered the emergency phone number. Eventually got a reply about 7 o clock but I was late. Although the pub was busy, Halloween, no noise in the room and it was a lovely quiet night. Very eccentric place but it was all a bit desperate really

Overnight stay in Stroud.

The location, food and facilities were excellent.

The bar on Sunday afternoon was very noisy. It was busy and the sound echoed. I went out on Sunday evening and had to ask for instructions about how to get into the room which was above the bar. I wasn't aware that I wouldn't be able to get in as I thought that the bar closed at 10.30pm. Accurate information would have been appreciated.

I stayed in Griffins and could not sleep due to a low background noise and vibration. I gave up at 4am and drove home

Comfortable and friendly.

On a 4day stay, Breakfast was excellent everyday. I felt I was staying in a lively pub, but it was nice and quiet after 10pm. Comfortable bed and a good night's sleep!

I would like to encourage you to ask the guest if they want towels changed every day....I would have say no. I had a clean bundle of towels on day 1, and which would have been fine for my entire stay.
