Disgusting, toxic mold. TERRIBLY RUDE and lying staff.

It was near the train. Only good thing I can say about it.

AVOID THIS HOTEL!!! BLACK MOLD and RUDE, LYING STAFF!!!!! When I arrived around 9 pm, the bathroom was covered in black mold — a toxic health hazard (see photos). I’m highly allergic and could only use it quickly holding my breath, keeping the door shut the entire time. The front desk refused any sort of accomodation, blaming Booking.com, who confirmed the hotel could have refunded or discounted me. The hotel was fully booked so I couldn’t change rooms that night. I also had a booking for the next night, but staff said that room also had a mold problem and ADVISED ME TO CANCEL — promising a refund which they are NOW REFUSING. I was promised this not once, but twice...by the women I spoke with day of as well as the man who gave me my luggage later that day when I retrieved it. They are now LYING, completely denying they said they would give a refund. Booking.com has contacted them both by email and by phone. The booking.com rep said they were vey rude to them on the phone, said I was lying and then hung up on them. Adding to the HORRIBLE experience and expense, I had to rebook last-minute elsewhere at over double the cost even though it was THEIR suggestion to cancel the 2nd night. I paid $230+ for a 13-hour stay in a mold-infested room (side note, TV also did not work), they are refusing a refund for the night THEY CANCELLED and I had to pay extra for a different hotel. The fact they know about the problem and do nothing is appalling. I've never written a review before but honestly I'm just in shock how they could outright LIE to me. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Very cozy and lovely place where you are welcomed

We really liked this hotel. We didn't dare to expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a great location - in a quiet and safe area overlooking the lake, only a 10-minute walk to the most active area of Desenzano. There are many different places to eat nearby. We were able to park our rental car in the hotel courtyard. The hotel room was big enough and decent, with a balcony overlooking the pool and the lake. The hotel breakfast was rich enough and really tasty. The pool area was just the right size and very comfortable. You could order cocktails and snacks from the hotel bar/cafe. Special thanks to the staff - they were so friendly and helpful and always greeted us with a smile.

Great Location

Clean, comfortable and spacious room. The location was great, minutes from the train station and a short walk to all the restaurants, shops and bars. The weather was very warm so the swimming pool was a welcome feature. Staff were all friendly and helpful. A great choice 👍

Great hotel in a good location

Lovely family run small hotel in a great location, 5 minutes away from the train station and 10 minutes walk into the town. The pool was lovely and plenty of sun bed available throughout the day. Nice European breakfast with something for everyone. Staff super friendly and the little bar area was really nice. Clean hotel and nice rooms.

Great Potential To Be A Gem Hotel But In Need Of Some Cosmetic Work

The pool. Short distance from the train station. 15 minute walk to the Desenzano Guards waterfront. The immaculate tropical themed grounds and helpful staff. Air conditioning and shower water pressure were great. The pool view from room 111 was gorgeous. Pool was clean but not very deep. Comfortable pool temperature. Deep enough to do laps though. Good expanded continental breakfast which did include eggs, bacon and roasted cherry tomatoes. 24/7 front desk. Good Internet connection

No mini-refrigerator in room. Outdoor railings were chipped with early stage rust. Size-able wall chip (12?inches) in room which plaster and paint could have easily resolved between check-ins but wasn’t. Storage space very limited. No drawers for underwear, tee shirts, shorts etc… Not enough hangers to hang pants. Shower doors were unhinge at check-in. Took several hours on day 1 to fix the issue reportedly because “the plumber had a lot of work” that day. Sheets were moderately thin. Pillows not firm enough for great orthopedic support but were functional. Would have liked to have seen more hot breakfast options. During my 2-night stay there was no variation in the breakfast menu. Thin walls. I could hear the neighbor taking. Outdoor noise however was minimal despite being on a busy street. Limited bar and optional food menu (€€). Only one English speaking channel, the rest were in Italian only

A very relaxing comfortable stay

fabulous breakfast every morning with a great variety of food on offer. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room had an excellent view from the balcony and extremely clean and very cool in the hot weather.

The hotel is on a hill which was alright for us but would maybe not suit everyone. especially in the really hot weather.

Really loved staying here. The staff were so friendly and the room was a good side with views of the pool. Breakfast had plenty of choice although apart from a soy cappuccino/juice it was limiting for vegan options - would be best to venture to a cafe if you do have dietary requirements. There is a cute cat lounging near reception sometimes and there are complimentary umbrellas when raining. Getting to the main hub of food/activities is a very short walk away, as is the train station. I would happily return here again!

Having done alot of research on rooms, we didn't want a room with a bunk bed for our 2 children, one who is 15. We booked a room with 2 single beds and one double. The pictures on Booking.com clearly show the set up of the room (i.e no bunk beds). However when we arrived we were given a room with a bunk bed and this was very disappointing to us and our daughter. The hotel does have the family room we requested but they were given to other guests. If like us, you booked this hotel because you wanted a family room with single beds not a bunk bed for your kids, i would suggest you make it clear to the hotel via direct communication with them, as you are not guaranteed to get it otherwise.

Perfect hotel for a stay in Desenzano.

Absolutely love this hotel, location, facilities, staff were all fantastic. it has the BEST breakfast room you will find in any 3* hotel in Italy. The choice was amazing and was so well laid out. Anything you needed seemed to be catered for. Bravo!

pleasant stay in a fantastic location

really easy to day trip from Station to main northern Italian cities (Verona, Venice, Milan etc) Desenzano is a short walk to restaurants staff are really friendly and helpful rooms are clean and large, beds really comfy

the pool is very cold and not the most private, pool was also not as clean as you would like. breakfast was the same everyday, nice enough but not much variety. heads up the plugs need a different adapter to normal euro two pin, the local supermarket sells them for 2 euro. (not the hotels fault really)

Ideally located for train station and short walk down to Lake and main restaurants.. Supermarket 5 mins walk away. Good breakfast. Good sizes clean family room with comfy beds. Really nice and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
