Great experince and value for money

Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, the whirlpools on the roof were great extra after a long day of walking/cycling.

50 year old traditional Hotel

The staff are wonderful, friendly and very attentive. Although didn't use the pool, warm pool and sauna, they all looked very clean and inviting. Breakfast buffet was amazing with variety of savory and pastry selections. Location is great, with wonderful lake views from roof top.

Although location was great, we got caught up in a traditional Italian occasion of 'strike'., resulting in using expensive taxi transport, due to hotel just been to far to walk to Sirmione/ Desenzano +-5km each way. But definitely not Hotel fault.

Good hotel! Amazing Breakfast!

Breakfast was by far the highlight of the hotel! They offer everything! Seafood, sausages, pork and beef cold cuts, fresh fruit, yoghurt and lots of more stuff. Truly an incredible spread! The room was good, but not particularly remarkable.

If I had to mention a few negatives: the shower space is a bit small, so it felt a little cramped. Also, I arrived late at night and there was nobody at the reception, plus no available parking. I had to park blocking another car.

Was amazing

Very clean and great service! Italian style breakfast, mostly sweet. Also eggs in several versions and savoury snacks. Not a large selection of cold cuts, but I think everyone will find something for themselves. If you are looking for a place off the beaten track, this hotel is perfect. Getting into town by bus is not the best idea as the buses run as they please. Plus access to a rooftop jacuzzi and sun loungers.

A wonderful hotel with great staff and food . The quadrouple room which I shared with husband and 18 year old and 15 year old was bigger than expected we also had a balcony. the hotel was spotless I can't recomend hotel Berta enough We were there 16 to 23 August 2023.

There is nothing I didn't like about this hotel . It would be slightly easier to get around with a car but saying that we did manage with the busses and a stop not far away.

Worth visiting!

Everything was just perfect. We were in Italy for week, visited 5 different hotels but this was the best one. Staff here was realy nice and helpfull, especially young guy with longer hair at reception. Room was clean, just like on pictures. AC was working. Pool was nice and clean aswell. Breakfast was really good. Best i had at any hotels. Salmon sandwiches, pannacotta, mini quiches or little salty croissants. Really good. Jacuzzi on the top of the hotel with nice view on Lago di Garda, which was righ next to the hotel. They let us to use pool and jacuzzi 1hour before opening because we were leaving that day. Reccomending!

Maybe little fridge on the room would be nice. Also since there is a pool and jacuzzi, i would aprecciate atleast little shampoo to use. There was only shower gel. Last thing, i dont know why, happened to me at almost every hotel in Italy, even we booked room for two people, there was only one big towel, one medium and one small for hands. Everything should be twice, atleast the big towel, but except that i really reccomend this hotel!

Really nice laid back small family run hotel

Really friendly staff, great roof top whirl pools and lovely pool and pool area. Loved the bar for snacks and pizza etc. the location was a nice long walk to Desenzano and Sirmione. Staff were helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them.

It was a bit noisy with guests arriving in the night. The flush on the toilet wasn’t very good but room was nice. I wish I’d have paid more for a balcony with a view.

A perfect place to relax.

I liked the staff kindness, from the women at the reception to the waiters. The room was superb and clean, and the terrace in front of the lake was exceptional. The location was also good. You can go for a nice walk, and you can also find places to have something. I strongly recommend the sunset... Finally, the breakfast buffet was tasty and varied. Therefore, it is a fully recommended hotel.

The room was clean, nice breakfast. It was good place to stay one night. We didn't use the pool because of the weather.

Nice pool, but moldy bathrooms – Not recommended!

We booked Hotel Berta for two nights and cancelled the second one. Even through the pool and roof top pool are nice, the rooms (old ones) are just not okay. The bathrooms are moldy (see pictures). In my opinion the rooms are not in a condition anymore to rent them out. Further, the hotel was generally not clean. We found hair form previous guests in our bathroom and several plates were dirty at breakfast. Luckily, we could cancel our second night.

disgusted with antfest in our room

The receptionist was excellent, very pleasant and very helpful lady

Our room was covered in ants and creepy crawlies.... we only got in late to the room and went to bed immediately, the following morning we got up and after afew mins we discovered the place was littered with the ants..we lifted up our 1 year olds t shirt off floor and discovered hundreds of ants over it!!! We had felt itchy when we woke that morn....it now became clear why!!! The bathroom showers werent closing properly, the shower head and many areas of the shower were black with mould from not being cleaned correctly..... was disgusted and glad to get out of there quick! when we got down to breakfast we then experienced ignorance and bad manners from members of the catering team....one snapped a carton of juice i had just put down from under me and proceeded to walk into an adjoining room to give to whom i assume was her child!. As soon as the clock hit 9.55 the same woman turned off the lights in room as in to say to the patrons there, get out! terrible experience , wouldnt even give the place 1 out of ten other than the fact the receptionist had been so nice

Very beautiful hotel and amazing staff. Perfect location if you like to walk or get around on the bike - offered for rent by the hotel for 10EUR a day.
