We came here for a short girls trip of 3. We often come to Antwerpen for a night or 2. I would say this is the best hotel /bnb we've stayed. Amazing facilities, quiet and amazing location. Staffs and owner of the place is amazing. Beautiful decorated rooms. Definitely will comeback again.

The room was very comfortable in an excellent location in the heart of the historic centre. We stayed in the Burgundian suite, which was cosy and well stocked. Breakfast was cold continental with fresh produce. Nicolas the host was extremely welcoming and kind. My partner managed to badly sprain her ankle during a run one morning and he provided an ice pack! Nothing seemed to much trouble. Would definitely recommend
Nothing!

I can’t stress enough how beautiful this place is. The decor is full of character, with thoughtful, unique, and sometimes playful details around every corner. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, with adjustable heating/air conditioning and lighting, very comfortable beds, and enough bathrooms to easily accommodate six guests. Coming and going was very easy with a private entrance and door code. Even though it’s located right near the old city center, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive, and made sure we felt welcome and well looked after. Breakfast was a real treat, a small personal highlight was the music playing in the background, for me it fit the space perfectly and added to the overall atmosphere.
As is to be expected in this kind of historic building, there are some stairs, and a small set of steps inside the suite. It didn’t bother us at all, but could be worth noting for guests with mobility considerations.

Everything was thought of and provided in a modern and friendly way
Some rooms are a few stairs up, so not suitable if you cannot climb a couple of flights

The suites are indeed charming! Beautiful old building that has been fitted out to a very high standard. Excellent hosts, they have thought of everything you could possibly need. Great location. The breakfast is great too, so much choice and so thoughtfully presented. This was my second stay here, I loved it so much that I came back.

Charming Suites is an absolute gem. Nicolas was the perfect host, keeping us informed prior to and during our stay with any essential info we needed. The room was fantastic with a medieval theme but with all mod cons you would need for a city break. Well equipped fridge in the room with some freebies and then a selection of beers and wines at very reasonable prices. I honestly couldn't speak highly enough of the property and Nicolas, we really hope to be able to visit again - if we are in Antwerp I don't think we'd even consider anywhere else. The proprty is ideal to explore the city with many landmarks within a short walk as well as bars and restaurants on your doorstep. The property is in a quiet street so you can escape when needed. Breakfast was great. The kids loved Charming Suites and so did we.

The building is very beautiful with lots of history. The room was very spacious. It’s a great quiet location and easy walk to the historical downtown. Nicolas was an amazing host - so kind and hospitable. Highly recommend staying here.
We loved everything! With this being such an old building, there is no lift which wasn’t an issue for us just something to keep in mind.

Excellent, once you have their breakfast, that will take care of you for the rest of the day. Truly great
The big spider in our room.

EVERYTHING! The building is a very charming structure down a charming street. It dates back to the 15th century, with other parts added or reconstructed in later centuries. It is located a 3 minute walk from the cruise port , as well as a short walk to Markt Square.
There are 3 suites inside, all equally wonderful! We stayed in the Burgundian Suite, which also had a private terrace area. The bed was super comfortable and the room cozy. The shower had 2 shower heads, one a rainshower. Just as an aside, you have to climb stairs, as with any European B and B. The stairwell is just amazing! You feel like you're in a castle! The building is all wi-fi, with motion detecting lights and ample charging ports for electronic devices. The coffee pot makes amazing coffee! There are basic dishes and utensils in addition to the coffee pot and tea kettle. Beverages, beer, wine, etc. are stocked in the refrigerator and available to purchase at a very fair price. Both still and bubble water are replenished daily, or upon request. Breakfast is available for 19 euro pp, and what a breakfast! Nicolas, the proprietor, and Ronald, his assistant, could not do enough for us! They are so kind and welcoming! Ronald toured our room with us, explaining how to regulate lights and heat/ac, use the TV, and made sure we felt comfortable. Entering both the building and our room was by code, which was such an easy access.
Nikolas also talked about the history of Antwerp and his building, showing us pictures of old world Antwerp compared to today. When it was time for us to leave, he not only called us a cab for our early morning departure, but was there to make sure the cab arrived on time.
I love booking B and Bs in Europe due to their ambiance and warmth, but this one is a true gem! Antwerp is a great place to visit, and the people you encounter are warm and welcoming!
Nicolas and Ronald, thank you for your hospitality and for making our stay special!
There was nothing that I didn't like!

Great location. Many restaurants and sites close by. Very walkable. Nicolas, the host, was fantastic. We were ungraded to the penthouse. Huge room with multiple beds and baths. Had wonderful , freshly prepared breakfast the next morning.
Nothing. Not for handicapped guests. Several steps to rooms.

Extremely friendly and charming host. The place is fabulous. The location is excellent -- right next to several key attractions. The breakfast was sumptuous. A wonderful stay. Highly recommend it!
There was absolutely nothing that was to dislike about the hotel, the host or our stay.

The best aspects of our stay were the location and the wonderful host, Nicolas. The B&B (only 3 guest rooms) was located on a quiet street just blocks from the center of the old city. It's not often one can find quiet accommodations right in the middle of a popular medieval city, but we were there for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights and the B&B was one of the quietest stays in recent memory. A few blocks away tourists were engaged in heavy beer drinking and noisy drinking games, but inside of our "sanctuary" we hardly knew we were in a city at all. Nicolas and his chef/friend were extremely helpful with every aspect of our stay, always asking us whether we had enough coffee, bottled water, towels, etc. whenever we encountered them. We don't eat much in the mornings, but the available breakfast looked good. Just be sure to let Nicolas know the day before if you will want breakfast; with only three rooms and breakfast optional, they need to know ahead of time how much food to prepare. These guys literally thought of everything, with a carefully chosen mini-bar and bottles of wine in the room, ready for immediate purchase. I told Nicolas that I had seen many a towel warmer/clothes dryer in my travels, but I had never seen one in a rental that was wired up and fully functional. While the room décor in our room was decidedly medieval (ancient stained class windows, with coats of arms and Dutch sayings) the lighting, air conditioning, bathroom, entry locks, etc. were all state of the art. If you will be staying on a summer weekend, you may be lucky enough to be there when Nicolas and the chef are serving a public luncheon of Flemish and other dishes. I had the "Foodie" trio which consisted tastings of a Flemish beef stew, a tasty chicken/pastry dish, and a seafood stew. It was all great, but I thought the Flemish beef stew and the chicken dish were the standouts.
Everything was better than we could have expected. The bathroom sink drain in our room was a little noisy, but it wasn't a problem for us.

Like staying in a renaissance palace with modern electric and plumbing! We had a spacious very large room, separate kitchenette, separate bathroom, private outdoor and enclosed terrace.

Without a doubt one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Ronald and Nicolas were both lovely people and very helpful and kind! The rooms are creatively made up, and are really comfy to stay in. We also had the breakfast, which was delicious and varied. If you go to Antwerp, I thoroughly recommend going to Charming Suites!

Everything about this property is beautiful. We had the suite of three rooms on the second floor. Even though I had read many favourable reviews, I was still pleasantly surprised by how wonderful this property is.
That we had to leave

Absolutely everything! Can not fault it!
I stayed on the Burgundian suite and is the most amazing room I have ever stayed in.
Nicolas was fantastic and couldn’t do enough for me to make my stay perfect.
The breakfast was incredible too.
I have already recommended both Antwerp, and this accommodation to multiple people!
Absolutely nothing!

This had so much wow factor, oozing character and history and charm whilst maintaining a contemporary feel too. There were lots of added extras like great WiFi, easy to access and use controls for lights and temperature. The host was exceptionally friendly, polite and helpful. The location is brilliant - so close to the centre and yet off a calm side street. The host could not have done more to make us more welcome and it felt like such a treat to be there, I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
Nothing, it was truly fabulous

The owner is incredibly accommodating when it comes to breakfast. The rooms are large and well presented. Refrigerator is full of local beer and beverages, with very little mark up. The location is very quiet, but very well located and easy to walk to sights and restaurants.

This is an exceptional property: our host was so helpful, our room was beautifully designed, very comfortable, with everything we needed. Great location right near the town centre (but a quiet street) near bike route through town, good bike storage. The breakfast was great.

Very unique historic property with thoughtful and modern touches. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished. Comfortable bed, modern bathroom, well stocked kitchenette, and nice terrace to enjoy fresh air. The host was very communicative, friendly and helpful to welcome us for our stay.
Location is a little hidden on quiet side streets, which made it a bit confusing to find at first, but this paid off with a quiet night in the neighborhood. Otherwise the location was great, very centrally located and walkable to many sites.

The apartment is amazing, clean, well stocked and very spacious for our group of 6. The location can't be any better, quiet but just around the corner from the old town. The owner, Nicolas is so nice. He always makes sure that we have enough water and coffee. We loved the place.

A huge room with two bathrooms, suitable for 2 couples at a very reasonable price. The host was super friendly and very attentive.
A very quiet place at night 2 min from the main Square. I would definitely book it again!

Everything was amazing: all clean, cleverly designed and masterfully kept. Warm and cozy feeling, with 21st century technology - comfort first. Quiet street, easy access to most points of interest.
Nicolas the host kept our minds at ease and coming back to the room after a day of travel was something we looked forward to. If you choose the breakfast you will not be disappointed - a full and tasty meal with great company and music just downstairs.
No river view from our window as advertised, but the river itself was so close-by that it didn't matter.
