For paying £198 for four poster bedroom me and my partner thought was a little pricey. Decor needed updating in the room and bed wasn't very comfortable 😕 Breakfast was good., but would have preferred to have cereal first, followed by a full English .

The breakfast was lovely.

The pillows were rock hard, no remote for TV, when they brought one up, the TV was unwatchable because of a constant buzzing sound. No soap in the bathroom to get a wash.

My Daughters Birthday celebrations

Very nice personal welcome. Homely hotel with lots of comfy seating in communal area. Loan book available and lots of local info. The staff were knowledgeable of area. I had to iron a shirt and there was facilities for this. This is a lovely hotel for all.

The room was small, the taps were falling of the sink, the very small shower room was dirty, the bed linen was stained and the mattress was a joke. I have never seen so thin pillows.

Ideally situated with a short walk into town with a bonus of free car parking. I’ve happily stayed here a couple of times, staff have always been very friendly & a freshly cooked breakfast always helps. I’d happily stay here again for a third time.

Staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. There is just a short walk into town. Breakfast is delicious. Parking behind the B&B wasn't a problem, arriving at lunchtime.

Very friendly welcome and in a great location to walk to centre of Chester. The stay was excellent and finished off with a nice breakfast in the morning.

If I had to be picky we couldn’t get all the channels on the TV, to be fair we didn’t mention it while there so nothing they could have done about it.

Nice hotel close to Chester City centre

The location was fabulous for a weekend away in chester. It was a short taxi ride. The room was really clean and had everything we needed in there . The staff were really nice and friendly.

We couldn't park on the hotels car park so we had to park on the side road, which was really busy with homeowners so we felt awful for parking there. The shower took ages to warm up and didn't really have any power to it.

Great stay overnight

The staff were lovely, could not do more for you. The hotel itself is very oldy-worldy, comfortable and cosy. The beds are so comfy! And the breakfast in the morning was great. I would definately recommend here, and would return in the future.

The hotel location is a little bit outside of everything, but easily able to get to & from town in an Uber/taxi. If you prefer to be in a quiet area to be able to sleep and not be in the thick of it in the town centre, it is perfect for that.

A great small hotel, home from home with excellent food and accommodation.

The hotel is a home from home. Lots of comfortable seating in individual areas. Great bar area with TV. The bedroom was clean and comfortable, the shower hot. Dinner and breakfast were first class and the staff friendly and good at their jobs Lots of parking.

The bedroom was just short of any USB points. This could be achieved by changing the lamp base to one with a USB port in it.

My wife and I thought it was one of if not the best hotel !! It was better than we imagined ! Looked brilliant on the outside and even better on the inside !! Really quaint !! We were over the moon with that and then the staff were absolutely brilliant , so friendly and welcoming it felt as though we were home from home , Just a short walk to Chester (perfect) Cannot find one thing that we could criticise The Brookside Hotel, The breakfast was amazing ten out of ten !!
