Penthouse rooms needs a refurb. But excellent stay as always.

The location is fantastic and having a penthouse with a view over the racecourse is amazing. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Coming in from the cold and having a free coffee from the machine was great. Such a great place to stay in the centre of chester. But please brighten up and update the rooms!

It is in desperate need of a refurb. The penthouse suites are very dull. Dark grey walls and carpet are in need of a refresh. It wasn't especially clean around the skirting and the dark rooms make it look grubby. In the 11 years we have been coming I'm not sure it has ever been decorated. The rooms could be gorgeous it just needs to be brightened up a bit. Needs modernising!! 😃 The balcony was dirty and needed a good clean and brush down. Seating was useless as it was soaking wet and so old. There was mould on the outside cushions. 😳

Never happened unfortunately

Good location and would of been perfect if we had been able to stay

We had booked this room a month prior for a celebration weekend. We turned up at the hotel at 1.30pm to see if we could check in early. We were told we could and the details were checked. Upon checking, we were advised that unfortunately the hotel had to cancel the booking due to a leak and that someone should have informed us. We hadn’t been informed, and had travelled some distance to be told there was no room and nothing they could do. We had to then seek alternative accommodation at a much higher price. A total inconvenient to the weekend. I appreciate nothing can be done if the room has flooded, but we didn’t hear about it until we came to check in, we are also to this day, still waiting for booking.com to contact us.

3 staff on reception during my stay were excellent, helpful, chatty. Access to snacks and cool drinks without having to tussle with a machine was great .. the free coffee/tea machine was superb and free croissants in the morning and excellent start to the day

Great place for a jaunt to Chester

friendly staff who were very welcoming and even gave me free early check in as it was Christmas, 24 hour manned reception and the room was big, very hot and powerful shower and its 30 seconds from the town centre, hotel overlooks the race course which is nice

Brilliant

Location was so close to the car park we used at Watergate, when we checked in we got a nice surprise , we had been upgraded to the best rooms at the top looking over to the race course. Only 5 minutes walk into Chester main city centre. The apartment was lovely & due to its location got a good nights sleep it was so quiet. Would stay again or use another Roomzzz in another city. One really nice touch was the free Coffee & croissants in the morning, the ones we got had just come out of the oven & still warm.

We had a slight issue with the lift , it was stuck on level 1 and we were on level 4 but it didn’t,t spoil the stay. A call out had been made to sort out the lift.

Ideal for 2 people not 3 as only a two seater settee & 2 chairs at the dining table (Can sleep 3 people) Not enough glasses (No pint glasses or champagne flutes) Outside small 2 seater settee but cushions battered with rain & mould. (Unusable even after the rain had stopped) Should really be covered over in winter or cushions stored inside. These are only small negatives & would not stop us staying here again.

Worse night sleep than being at home with two small children.

The location was perfect, close to everything we needed. The coffee machine in reception was great.

Parts of the room looked tired, the air con didn’t work, So the room was boiling in the night. It also started making a loud buzzing noise which woke us up at 4am. There was a light which kept flickering which we couldn’t figure out how to stop that also woke us up. The TV also didn’t work

Comfortable and short walk to centre

Great view and easy walk to centre. Lovely coffee, hot chocolate and croissants in lobby area. Glad the lifts went all the way up to penthouse level. Free disabled parking.

Enjoyable stay

As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Friendly and helpful staff member Ahmed. He even sorted parking at the property. Plenty of soaces Room had everything we needed. Close walk to main town with plenty of bars and shops. Overall very good stay. Coffee machine, cold water machine and complimentary croissant in the morning

Great hotel in a great location with lovely staff.

The location was superb. Easy to find and park. It is near to the wall, so nice to walk back to after a night in the town. The breakfast was great and the room was very spacious with a great shower in the bathroom. By far the best thing was the bubbly welcoming from the lady on duty - she was so friendly.

I didn't mind paying to park but I don't remember seeing that it was chargeable on the website. Maybe it could be clearer.

The bed and pillows great. Shower very nice and easy to function. Tv next to the bed, not on wall away from us. The temperature of the room lovely and functional appliances. Complimentry coffee.

Great location for Chester marathon friendly staff

Great location for Chester marathon, literally across the road to the start, clean friendly staff and gluten-free crossonts in the morning for free. And 2 min walk and you are in the town centre. The room has everything you need toaster oven hob dish washer and more. It was our wedding anniversary and we got a free upgrade and would stay again.

Car park is small and 15 pound for 24hrs there is a car park on the main road which is cheaper 8 pounds for 24hrs but you can only pay for 24hrs but no issue going and putting another ticket in.

Our stay in Chester

We were in Chester for the metric marathon and we could have as much coffee from the coffee machine as we wanted throughout the days and also every morning we had a croissant and coffee for breakfast. The rooms are lovely and beds are so comfy. The staff are all very pleasant and informative. The hotel is very clean. All in all a great stay at Roomzzz 😁

Location to Chester races was fantastic.

Location was great and staff were lovely

Room wasn’t very clean, smoke alarm was positioned right next to heating fan causing us to get woken up by staff at 8am to tell us the alarm was triggered from our room, this then made us feel worried about turning the heating on making the room extremely cold. The door next door which i believe staff were using was slamming closed and opening very frequently and loudly. It sounded like somebody was opening our door making us on edge thinking somebody was entering our room every 5 minutes for the duration of our stay

Enjoyed our stay here in Chester, expected a little more from from the penthouse suite.

location was lovely and quiet. Views and kitchen facilities were very good . Bed was very comfortable and staff on reception at all times were lovely helpful and always tried to help. Couldn't fault the staff as they were great. complimentary coffee 24/7 and breakfast croissant very nice.

Apartment was a little tired in paint/decor and outdoor balcony furniture was not great. Rattan Sofa and chair only and cushions on them were poor I felt penthouse suite. Balconies not very private ,open view to apartments next door each side which was a little disappointing .
