Great location, only a 10 min walk into Chester, hotel room was very clean and spacious. Option to drop our bag off before we could check in made it a lot easier to explore the area.

Location is great and breakfast was good. Good choice of food and you could take away coffee if you were in a hurry which was good. Bed was comfy and clean too.

The room we selected was standered and clicked double room as preference but it was not clear at all that it was subject to availability. Im not sure if this was booking.com or the hotels fault. But the hotel was full so we got put in a twin room which was very inconvenient for me and my partner. There was stains everywhere in the room didn't feel clean the rug didn't seem hovered well as there was bits all over the floor. However the bathroom was nice and clean but the shower was on a complete wonk as the hose wouldn't stay facing down. And the noise was unbearable didn't sleep well I've never been in a hotel with such thin walls you could here absolutely everything. Very disappointed as I've stayed in holiday inns before but this was by far the worst one.

Clean, comfortable, good service: what you'd expect from a Holiday Inn Express.

Hotel was clean and comfortable, although a little dated. But, we only stayed one night, and only really needed a bed so it was fine. Chester town centre (one of my favourites of the trip) was within walking distance, although up quite a steep hill, so we drove and found a carpark very close to all the action.

Close to city centre. Front desk staff pleasant, helpful. East to find way around the hotel.

Clipboard holder at breakfast had an unnecessary attitue. Room was laid out for convenience but was also tired and in need of updating. No charging station on both sides of bed. Breakfast, while included, was a bit basic.

being charged to park overnight £10 this was NOT on the website when I booked. was offered a drink voucher. was told the racecourse own it and charge people well i was at a christmas work party at the racecourse so even more of a smack in the face. Very expensive over night stay i will book a taxi at 65 each way next time cheaper and my bed will be comfier pay to park room expensive for what it was shower pressure poor flat pillows carpet not hoovered properly

Comfortable hotel in a good location, easy walk into the city centre.

The check in was quick. The room was a reasonable size and well equipped. Very good shower, loads of hot water.

Choice of the breakfast items was ok, but the quality felt a bit cheap. Bacon, sausage and hash browns all quite tough, they had clearly been sitting there for ages. And £10 to park overnight felt a bit steep, especially not being under cover. Only being allowed to park until 2pm on check out day was a bit inconvenient, although this is understandable as check in is from 2pm for the next day guests. But there were plenty of spaces, so although we had checked out, it would have been nice to leave the car there until late afternoon at least.

The hotel is 5 min Walk From the center, the staff was very nice including the guy from the parking lot.

The room wasn’t that clean, stain in the bathroom, the drain from the shower was blocked, and the front door didn’t close properly we had to push it to close. The breakfast was bad, it was the worst breakfast we ever had in a hotel. Not to many choices, the eggs was undercooked and the rest was to burn and dry. The coffee was bad as well, but I guess we like strong coffee and that’s just preference.

Basic clean and does the job for an overnight stay.

Easy and central to where we needed to go. Clean and basic rooms, facilities good in the fact it’s unlimited hot drinks . Breakfast was a let down, cool and it was a pretty much a free for all, a bit like sunbed wars on holiday…

We asked for a quiet room, but the room we had was I think the noisiest of all rooms.. under where the bins and delivery good park … having asked if it was a quiet room , the receptionist said yes quiet… Avoid Room 130 if you want to sleep. We would return again if visiting Chester.

Location , car park , easy to locate lovely chair in the room

Front doors ridiculously heavy making it difficult to navigate with luggage. Pointless wait to check in, staff there doing nothing. USB point not working Poor plug location, not convenient as suggested. No temperature control Severe condensation Small room poor use of space, not much hanging space for clothes. Bathroom looked new but had mould around seals Toilet difficult to get up from , nothing to push self up from Only one hook to hang wet towels from in a room for two. Breakfast- poor quality produce that was cold , soggy unappealing. Toaster broken first day and no milk in coffee machine . Only one lift which was small , TV only worked on live TV WiFi very poor, intermittent, couldn’t access on demand services on TV Net curtain badly damaged due to the way the window shuts Window had been open all day on one of the coldest days of the year . Room was cold and the heater in room served no purpose
