I had a lovely night there and it was definitely value for money

Very friendly staff and nice room

It would be much better if breakfast can start at earlier time for people who check out in early morning for the early flight.

Waiting outside the Dining Area for 10 mins waiting for a table to come free which I couldn’t understand because the was another dining area full of empty tables 🤷‍♂️🤔

Very nice stay, very pleasant little hotel

Room was lovely and there are communal places to sit around the place which look very nice, though we didn't use them ourselves.

Delightful, perfectly positioned and super clean.

A delightful room in a private space. The room was kitted out with everything you could want, topped off with a little chocolate on the pillows, a generous amount of coffee and tea all in a peaceful surrounding. The bed was super comfy and everything worked. Wonderful!

The bedroom was a bit warm for my liking but I do like it to be really cool. I adjusted the thermostat on the radiator, but it took a long time to cool down - anyone else would probably have loved the warmth in the room!

Fantastic welcoming hotel with comfortable well appointed rooms

Lovely comfortable, friendly and welcoming hotel with a really good breakfast and efficient service. Local bars and restaurants close by or a short walk to Chester. Highly recommended.

Parking is tight though plenty of spaces available. Road noise could be an issue for some.

Stayed numerous times and has always been a wonderful

Good but the second morning there was a wait to be seated for breakfast ,but we did not have time to wait as we had to leave the accommodation to travel home in the south West.

Location of hotel was really good and with free parking

Breakfast was not great quality and was very disorganised..needs staggering of times as not suitable when hotel is busy, so much so didn't get to eat ours on final morning of 2 night stay..😐

Chester get away

We were 8 ladies celebrating Christmas and a special birthday..location was good but you would need a taxi into the city .Rooms were beautiful decorated with very comfortable beds ..amenities were also exceptional. Staff on reception welcomed us.

Breakfast..was laid out for you to help yourself except for eggs, you were given a choice ..but unfortunately most of us had finished our breakfast before they arrived..so declined them ..hopefully this will be noted and improved

Excellent place to stay when visiting Chester.

Well located, only a 20 minute walk into the centre of Chester. The property was well appointed and our room was spotlessly clean nicely decorated and very comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Car was a little tight but not a real problem. Certainly shouldn’t put anyone off what is a really good hotel/B&B at a very competitive price.

Good parking, short walk into Chester. Close to shops and restaurants in Hoole.

Check in should have been from 1pm. However on arrival told to return at 2pm. No response to pre check in enquiries.

Staff welcome wasn’t the best on arrival. First thing said to me was ‘wrong door’ So that didn’t make me feel too good after my long journey.

It’s in a good location. Managed to park on site. Clean room with everything you need.

The breakfast room isn’t big enough. Felt squashed in & because people were waiting for a table you were rushed to get finished & out. Plates were cold so breakfast went cold very quickly.

Brilliant base for a visit to delightful Chester

The interior design was exceptional - the owner has curated a wonderful array of lamps and artefacts. Breakfast was very good. Ample parking. Lovely communal lounge area. Fantastic Italian restaurant just a few minutes walk away. Walking into Chester city centre was easy, and the city itself is delightful. The en-suite was really good, with a two headed shower in a spacious cubicle. The two bath sheets were large and fluffy.

Very minor issues. Somewhere to hang very wet coats would be handy but may not be feasible. The two square lights in the bathroom cabinet mirror were not switchable and shone with some intensity into the sleeping area. It was great to have a good hair dryer but the coiled cord was so tight that it was tricky to pull it beyond the dressing table. These are very insignificant issues which in no way spoiled our appreciation of this exceptional property.

Lovely room for 3 people with VERY comfy beds, some added extras like chocolate on the pillows when we arrived. Really helpful friendly staff, amazing breakfast. A fridge and microwave in the room which we didn’t expect. Very clean. Lovely decor throughout.

Comfortable haven in Chester

Staff welcoming and friendly. The place was spotlessly clean and bright. Room spacious with a jacuzzi bath, separate shower and a cute little terrace which the weather prevented my using. Tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits and a random packet of crisps, which made me smile. Breakfast buffet was varied and tasty. Delicious sausages and bacon, nicely fried egg and my favourite cereal, too!. Good, strong black coffee and efficient staff.

Scrambled egg a bit dry, and no plate warming station, but other that those tiny niggles, all was delightful.

Great location for Chester and Cheshire Oaks. Local restaurants and bars 10 minuet walk. Chester centre was also an easy walk. Lovely big room for 3 adults. Huge bathroom , beautiful clean and lovely comfortable beds.

Accomodation worth every penny!

Everything! This is the best hotel accommodation I've stayed in barr hiring entire homes. The welcome was exceptional and the room was overtly over the top and comfortable with lovely touches all over. Soft sheets, lush towels, quality furniture.. nothing was cheap or budget feeling! Met and exceeded my expectations!

It's location served us well. The people were mostly friendly and helpful.

The heating in the general area of the house is too high, plates in the breakfast room were cold and so was the plate coming from the kitchen. You could safe money by reducing the heating and have a warm hold in the breakfast area.

The best guest house we have ever stayed in by a country mile.

The room was nicely decorated with a good standard of furnishings. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was of an exceptionally high standard and plenty of it.Tables were cleaned properly Staff very attentive very pleasant. The owner Ray could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Trudy was a delight and the breakfast staff were always ensuring that there was plenty of everything. This guest house was an absolute pleasure to stay in and we will be back again.

Not applicable. There was even plenty of parking spaces.oh I suppose I could say that the property was too far from a bus stop it must have been 50 yards. So there is the downside big deal.
