Perfect stay, would definitely choose to stay here again when I next visit Chester.

Location was perfect, 5 mins walk from city centre and 2 mins from a local shop. Loved the decor and the bed was so incredibly comfortable. Landlady greeted us on arrival and was lovely, very welcoming and helpful.

Where it was situated that was it

The room was way to small for 2 people we could not get passed each other without moving to let the other one pass. Bathroom was too small as well you could hardly turn around, no room for toiletries anywhere. It smelted damp. We had to book another hotel as we couldn’t stay there it was so not up to are usual standard we were very disappointed.

Great location. Room was nice & presentable, it is a small room but the decor was great. Bed was really comfortable. The host is lovely - the only downfall I’d say is that they don’t offer breakfast even though it is a B&B.

Good location, close to the centre of Chester.

Shame there is no private parking but there is a pay car park just over the road. My room was small but comfortable although a chair would have been nice. I have back problems and unfortunately the bed was a little too hard for me. The walls appeared to be paper thin so I was woken up twice during the night by noise from other rooms.

I was near enough to the city centre, to walk in. Claire was very friendly, and took an interest in what I was in Chester for.? The location was near enough to food outlets. City Centre was very busy.

Absolutely stunning room!

Everything! The lovely lady couldn't do any more for us. Me, my daughter and sister, she supplied wine glasses, changed our cups daily, and put the lamps on for our return. Soooo cosy, gorgeous room. Would highly recommend!! Thank you so much, we will definitely look to return. Nothing was too much 😍 A little peace of heaven, so happy with our stay.

I had a wonderful stay. The property is perfectly located- just a short walk from the bus station, and right in the heart of the city. It couldn’t be more convenient. The owner, Claire, is such a lovely and helpful lady.From the moment I got off the bus, she called to guide me on how to get to the property and made sure I settled into my room smoothly. Her warm hospitality really made my stay extra special.

The only thing that made me uncomfortable was the bathroom- the room I stay has a narrow space (not small, just a bit tight). But overall, it was a great stay, and I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Chester.

The room is rather small for three persons, there was another bigger room available but for an higher price. Next time we will take the bigger room to have more comfort Also the shower was rather small.

Very homely

Arrived really early and was able to leave luggage secure. Great, homely feel to the accommodation. Owner(I'll assume was called Claire) really makes you feel welcome. Given all the information I required regarding access in and out of the property. This is done with a fob and keypad, so need to worry about carrying around a key card or a huge metal key that some places still use. Lovely comfortable single bed. A small fridge was in the room, which I didn't even notice until morning of departure🙄 Approx 10 minute walk from the station, 2 minute walk from the bus interchange.

Owner was very strict 0 guests allowed at anytime, I had some bags that I needed to sort out just clothes was not happy me bringing them in the room, as I was on my own there was a double and single bed asked me not to use the single bed so it saves cleaning tomorrow even though I payed for the whole room, asked me to cross the road to vape and not on the pavement outside the guest house, was kept up most of the night by guests shouting and I can only assume drinking, spoke to owner next day she apologised as I do understand that’s not her fault however she offered me a free nights stay for the inconvenience but refused the refund, I then replied saying ok I will give it another chance and take the free night she completely ignored me and didn’t reply that has now been over 4 weeks, overall was a shame and a really bad experience as it was nice inside and has huge potential

The location

The room originally offered was not accessible from the main house you had to go out onto the street this room was offered to my daughter we were not comfortable with this. We were then offered a triple room which was really crammed not much room to move around the bathroom door didn’t fully open it hits the bed. The blind had a slat missing we had to put a cushion against it as we were on the ground floor and felt exposed. The front door squeaked everytime someone entered or left. When we realised there was a price difference to the room we stayed in compared to the rooms we booked we were told the price is the price. When we were checking in the owner wasn’t even there we had to wait in the step for a good 5 minutes not really acceptable when my daughter has health issues which I advised on the phone when we confirmed a time to check in

We couldn’t use the outdoor garden after 9, because of making noise. Beds wernt the comfiest. Some black stains on the bedding and mold in the room. We only stayed for one night with 4 in one room and 3 in the other.

Location was great, 5 minute walk to the City Centre. Host couldn't do enough to help. We had a quad room which was clean and tidy.

It was a hot day and the rooms where boiling, big fans would have been helpful.

Lovely but no privacy this morning

Lovely room and helped us check in when it was late at night which was much appreciated as we weren’t expecting to stay originally!

Got woke up by the cleaner walking in at 9:40AM this morning. Then got told we need to leave our room at 10:40AM with no warning or reason why. Check out is 11AM so this should be stuck too … felt a bit pressured to get out when we’d only just woke up.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Maison Claire. The staff displayed a terrible attitude and were unwelcoming and disrespectful. Despite taking full payment for my booking, I was informed via text shortly after that the room was no longer available. This unprofessional conduct caused significant inconvenience and distress. The service fell far below the expected standard, and I would not recommend this establishment to others. A full refund and compensation for the inconvenience are the least that should be offered to make this right. No refund or apology has yet been issued.
