Nice little twin room, close to the centre, nicely decorated, a great shower, comfortable bed. Room had eveything we needed.
The room was so hot, we slept with the window open all night and was still very warm. Quite noisy outside.

Good location into city centre
We stayed in room 4 where we was woken multiple times very loudly through out the early morning from people moving the bins outside, also whether there was a boiler or generator underneath us which was very loud and made noises all night. Had a terrible nights sleep! Our hot water also stopped working so we wasn’t able to shower. When we told the gentleman of the terrible nights sleep etc he didn’t seem care and basically looked at us and said “ok”.

English breakfast very good.
Everything was fine

Our shower was very low from the ceiling, had to duck to avoid banging my head . It’s a very old building with low ceilings I understand this , maybe they could have put the shower on the wall to avoid this. Apart from that our stay was brilliant.

Lovely pub with quaint features, welcoming and warm
As it’s in the centre it’s inevitable there will be noise of people outside but it was so loud it took us a long time to get to sleep.

We were fortunate to be able to check in early after asking to drop our bags an hour before check in. Staff were friendly, the room was not in the main building but off a side road so very quiet apart from passing traffic. Great historic building and rooms were empathetically interior designed to be modern but not too out of character. Water pressure for shower was good (but didn't reach full temperature)
The bed was absolutely terrible, if you're going to have a cheap frame, it should have a better mattress! It couldn't have been more than 6" deep and springs poking into you made it impossible to get in a comfortable position. Unfortunately this ruined the whole trip for my partner and I as it made for an incredibly uncomfortable sleep and grumpy faces the following day. The toilet cistern also appeared to be leaking, stepping in freezing cold water on the bathroom floor in the middle of the night was not ideal! The oilfilled radiator was obviously needed given the -4C conditions, however, it wasn't thermostatically controlled so woke up to an extremely warm room in the middle of the night. Also the room numbers, being off the street, were not easily visible and we had someone trying to enter our room at gone midnight...given its a haunted building, this took some time for my nerves to calm down afterwards :'D

Great location, pleasant and helpful receptionists and the night porter
Our bedding was not fresh, it wasn’t changed after previous guest. There were hair and yellow stains on sheets. I do hope that towels were changed at least. Needless to say that the bedding has to be changed after every guest even if it was one night stay, nobody wants to get somebody’s infection or something. After I left the message to property nobody even contacted me, so probably it’s not a big deal for the owner

Room was as expected as we've stayed here before. Everything you need and very clean. Beds are a little on the small size but apart from this all good.
Only the bed size, everything else was great.

Location, cleanliness, festive feeling, cosy no problems at all
Something that cannot be helped but nevertheless be mindful of the stairs up to the bedrooms. Very uneven and steep.

We’ve stayed here many times. Great location. Helpful staff. They also have a few ground floor rooms which is great for us as iv not got great mobility.
The room could do with a mattress that fits properly and maybe some new pillows. It wasn’t like that last year.

It was perfect for a single traveller. The location is the best one can ask for. So close to the cathedral and the christmas market. The staff was polite and the room was comfortable. No complaints whatsoever.

Excellent, comfy accomodation centrally located.
8.0 / 10.0
The size of the room was good; the bathroom facilities were more than adequate and the towel radiator worked well. We enjoyed the very plentiful cooked breakfasts and the extremely central location a walkable distance from all that you might like to see in such an interesting and historic city. A nice relaxed atmosphere prevailed inside this lovely old building. Overall, would recommend.
The room (no 11) was very cold - partly because of the cold weather but also because the radiator, which was enclosed and not easily accessible, was not on when we arrived. In mitigation, there were two freestanding radiators supplied within the room which went some way to off-setting the cold and, fortunately, the central heating radiator had been turned on when we got back to the room on the second day.

The room was quirky as exsecpted very large and comfortable room with every thing what we needed for our stay.
It was noisy as the discription mentioned in the advert when booked, but was all from out side at all hours with it being on main street and bins being emptied at night also when the pubs shut with pepole runing aroud screaming.
6.0 / 10.0
In an excellent location. The breakfast was amazing.
The windows in the room were frosted and therefore we couldn't see out of them. The TV was really small for the size of the room. Towels for the shower were very small and were more like hand towels.

Location of the christmas markets.
Very noisy outside at night

The location
The accommodation. It was cold, the bathroom smells of stinking drains, the mattress was old and you could feel and hear the springs popping. The furniture was cheap, not a nice experience, and the price for one night was extortionate, in fact so was the price of the drinks.
