Great location. Parking £17 per night. Although the room was lovely it did have mould on the net curtains and main curtains. The shower leaked and bathroom fan was not working and again mouldy. We did not get our room service during our 2 night stay even though we requested. We had to find the maid to request clean cups tea milk and sugar. Not what i would expect for £100 per night

Breakfast had a great choice, they were very quick to replace items. Staff very friendly. Room a little tired, however clean and staff helpful and polite, they work very hard. Parking was not great in that it was expensive, but we did get a space, so we were lucky.

Great breakfast. Furniture in queen premium room chipped & tatty. Check in slow as only one receptionist available. Pool was at capacity so had to go back to the room and wait for phone call to let us know when to go back.

Hotel is a great location and staff are friendly and helpful Pool and gym well maintained and breakfast has lots of options Couldn't get in hotel car park and it wasn't the best nights sleep I have had away from home if I'm honest

Check in was abysmal we arrived slightly before our 3pm check in and was advised with others in the queue the room wasn’t ready till 3pm so at 3pm the queue for everyone checking formed all the way round the side and up the stairs to the floor above. There were 3 check in staff but to my amazement this reduced to 2 as the third staff member shift had finished at 3pm so we all had the long wait to check in which was time consuming as the 2 remaining staff had numerous checks for do to check people in. The people near the end of the queue after us must have been ultra patient as they were still waiting at 3.45pm.

The check in was awful, I have never experienced such a bad check in. We queued for 40 minutes in a long line, there were 3 staff members but it was taking so long. When we eventually had our turn there was no apology for keeping us waiting. The hotel is very nice and it’s in great location. The check in experience just spoilt it for us.

The lady in charge of the dining and bar was superb! The lady on reception was excellent. Facilities great and the location spot on! Breakfast was hot and tasty and they even kindly let us in at 9.25am before it closed at 9.30am (we got mixed up with weekend hours). Thank you for a great stay. We will be back.

Room was very dusty in corners of room,phone was very dusty as were the tops of lights & skirting boards. car parking very stressful as no parking spaces within hotel on arrival,steam room was closed off & noticed the doors around pool area were in need of a good clean,Breakfast good as were staff & location of hotel is central to town,we have stayed in a few crowne plaza hotels over the last few months & found this one disappointing & it was most expensive one too,the front of building is situated underground & if on my own i would of felt intimidated as a secluded area.Reception is situated just above lower ground,so not very welcoming as you enter hotel. Sorry just needs some improvements overall & good housekeeping 😔

Been before, but this was not as good, staff were helpful as expected, however the room we were given was not acceptable, the toilet had been used and was blocked. We were given a replacement. My overall opinion is the room was looking a bit tired and in need of an upgrade , the bathroom was not as good ,the shower head was poor water flow and not as clean as i would have liked. There was not enough tea and coffee and milk. The tv remote batteries were flat. The windows need secondary glazing as traffic noise was bad, We use IGH hotels a few times in different city's and think the crowne plaza chester is a good hotel, but needs some attention to details for customer satisfaction. We will probably try elsewhere in chester next time

the bar area and restaurant areas are good, but the hotel is let down by the bedrooms. Ours, this time, was terrible. sofa bed not made up, stains on walls, rust stain in bath, shower barely flowing. Air con non-existent and room was hot with no windows to open

Would have given 5 stars but were not given access to club room despite being included until enquired on second day. Complimentary drink didn’t quite make up for that. On gaining access to the club room it was unfortunately rather disappointing. Notwithstanding staff were on the whole very helpful and accommodating. Excellent food and service. Would definitely stay again due to convenient location but would not bother with premium club room.

Terrible Check in experience had to wait for a long time only to be told our Room wasn't ready yet which is a suprise to me as House keeping Knocked my room door 🚪 before 10am on my Departure day to see if I was ready for leaving my room yet . The Bar staff were nice Friendly and knowledgeable of the local area. Car parking at £17 per night is expensive i thought and considering I got blocked in by another Car when I was leaving I thought the car park was poor and very Tight. My Room was Wondering Clean fresh and modern very happy with that but overall Disappointed with our Short Stay at the Hotel and Will try somewhere different next month.

Staff were lovely throughout. No problems at all with the Hotel and it is really, really convenient for seeing Chester - our first time of visiting and we really enjoyed it. Used the train to get there and Uber to get around and it was all so easy. Would certainly like to go to Chester again and would definitely use the same hotel. PS Go to Chez Jules for a nice evening out.

Parking was confusing and not really clear, Club lounge was not what I expected and in all not like other Plaza's i have stayed at. Good note was that evening Bar staff were beyond excellent service and saved the stay.
