Bit of a walk into town which is nice but not when it’s raining.

Very clean, good shower, comfy bed, unlimited use of a spotless kitchen and you can watch the television while having your breakfast and dinner . Would definitely stay again
The only drawback was parking during the day. After 6pm it was not a problem

We arranged to arrive earlier than check in as we we're car sharing and left our bags with Graham while he was preparing our room. We headed into Chester which was a 10 minute walk away accessed via Brook St. Everything that you need is either opposite The Bunkroom (food, off licence, buses, car wash, Deva Tap bar etc) or on Brook St towards town (barbers, cafe, charity shop, pub etc). We had a chance to look around the rest of The Bunkroom the next morning and found the kitchen, and lounge/diner immaculate and equipped with everything you could need on a trip. The outside area was well equipped and would be a sun trap in the summer. The mattress in our room was Nectar memory foam so very comfy and the bunkbeds which we didn't use were solid and clean. All the bedding was matching and was Elements from Dunelm. Little details included plug sockets and lamps at height for the bunkbeds, lots of info in the hallway on the notice boards and healthy houseplants throughout. We heard no noise during our stay, either inside or outside the property, which led to a good nights sleep. We would definitely return to Chester and The Bunkhouse again.
The fact that this is called a hostel!! We are both 54 and are stumped at this!!

This is very much like a family style hostel. Communal Kitchen, lounge outside space available. This was perfect for myself and 3 teenagers. On-suit and room was clean and tidy. 3 tier bunk bed and double bed was comfortable. Would definitely visit again.

Perfect location within short walking distance of railway station, bus station, city centre. Relaxed atmosphere with a very helpful host, who made our stay in Chester easy and enjoyable! Having a kitchen to prepare our own meals was also a great bonus, helping us travel on a budget. Would definitely recommend!

The Bunkroom is convenient, clean and comfortable. It had everything I needed for a 2 night stay in Chester. I had sole occupancy of a room that sleeps 5. There is a well-equipped kitchen and a dining room.
Graham (the host) was very helpful.
There is a large, affordable car park 3 minutes walk away on the other side of the dual carriageway.
Brook Street has an amazing range of food shops: Polish, Turkish, Oriental, Arab/African - even a small Morrisons.

My room was larger than I expected. It was warm and the bed was comfortable. The ensuite has a shower and loo, both of which worked! There's also a shared bathroom on the ground floor. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a feast with a common room just beyond it with dining tables, a few settees and telly. There's a garden as well, if it happens to be good weather with a BBQ. Security is taken seriously; two locking doors between you and the street, and the rooms are individually locked. Plenty of storage, too.

It was a good value stay in a great location
Only that I was cold. British weather is very unpredictable and a heater would be useful

Very welcoming host who gave us all information we needed for our stay. Clean room, comfy beds, children loved the triple bunk bed. Extra pillows if needed. For the price we really didn’t expect much but perfect for our stay. Fully equipped kitchen dining area and outside area. Great central location to walk into the city centre.

Very central, at 4 minutes walking distance from the train station. Comfortable rooms. Amazing all equiped common kitchen with fridges, where you can store your items, which means that you can cook your own food. I had a chance to have a room on the back side, which means that it was very quiet, with no noise at all from the street. I think to remember that the windows had double glass too. On the front side however, you would probably hear cars, if the window is open.
The internet was working very well.
The very friendly and welcoming owner is there during the day, but a late check in seems possible on request. I extended my stay because of all these positive points. I felt at home during this stay.
Everything was fine, may be a few furniture were getting a bit aged, but still totally functional. I prefer it this way.

An absolute gem from good/clear communication/check-in to a well equipped kitchen and lounge. The room was clean and comfortable. I don't think I have ever seen a kitchen so well equipped with plenty of plates, dishes and mugs/glasses as well as pots, pans, utensils, etc. Great location, literally just round the corner from the station. Just booked my next stay!
Nothing.

What a lovely place. Graham the owner is lovely and so considerate, he even looked for hay-fever tablets for me bless him. The room I staying in was lovely and spacious and the bed was so comfortable. Graham has a lovely kitchen with everything you need. A lovely big living and dining area with a big tv and dvds, Graham really has thought of everything for everyone. And there's a lovely back garden to relax in. Will definitely be staying again.
There wasn't anything to not like.

Lovely friendly hotel Graham was a pleasure to meet also met graham's mum they both made sure I was having a lovely time and had everything I needed very welcoming and accommodating, hotel itself was quiet, great location round corner from train station, had full use of the kitchen if i needed anything drinks or to cook food, anything needed not a problem. Will happily stay again ideal for family stay with children aswell.
I did personally miss a small TV in room but later on weekend Graham's mom showed me the comfy lounge open to everyone in hotel with sofas, tv and books in there and also access to the WiFi.
