    Close paid Parking available. Swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Well equipt Gym. Towels provided. 10mins stroll into center of Chester. Some of decor a little dated and no air-conditioning. Good cooked Breakfast buffet. Limited fresh fruit. Staff helpful. I would stay there again.

    Stayed one night for an overnight break in Chester with a friend. First impressions were good. Parking available outside the hotel and is available till 1pm on checkout day. Staff on reception were helpful and pleasant. We left our bags and headed out for the day, returning to collect our room key at 8.30 pm. We had a drink in the bar area and a desert which was nice. The disappointment began in the room. We were put in the building over the bridge which is in desperate need of revamping. The room is dark and dingy, curtains hanging off, the bathroom was awful. Shower was dirty, the sink was tiny like a small cloakroom one that didn’t drain. The lamps at the bedside, 1 didn’t work at all and the other switched off after a few minutes. The bed was comfy but the pillows were awful. We tried the swimming pool in the morning which was lovely. The breakfast is poor, the first 5 plates were dirty, eggs all overcooked, cold potato pieces, tinned fruit, and cold toast. Reception offered us a free upgrade if we chose to stay again, the staff were faultless.
